today i will talk about car #3 that J's auto f**ked up. My 2006 Hummer h2 with less than 60,000 miles. I originally took the vehicle in for a check engine light and to replace the side mirrors. This was late 2023. He said that the seals also needed replacing. Sound familiar. Heb said the same on my 2007 hummer. On 1-10-2024 i paid him 3476.29. I was told he would email me a copy of the invoice. After numerous attempts i have yet to get a copy of the invoice. First thing i noticed was that the side mirrors had not been replaced. When i questioned Juan about it i was told that he rebuilt them. I knew going in that the check engine light was an electrical issue with a sensor. i drove off the radio died and i got half way home before the check engine light came on again. The mirrors were not working any better that before. when i called him i was told to drive the car a couple of weeks to see if the check engine light would go off. I replaced the radio which was about 500 dollars. I brought the car back to him in February to again fix the check engine light. Six months later after numerous failed attempts at communication with J's auto i get a call my car is ready. I pick it up fill the tank with gas and the check engine light comes on on my way home. My guess is based on the experience with my other cars is that he just reset the computer. By now it is the time of year that i really need 2 working vehicles. I take the hummer back again tell him the light is on again and that my gas mileage is 7mpg. This is the last time i see my Hummer running. For the next 3 months i am told they cannot find parts, that it is the transfer case that is bad. At this point i have had enough. I send a wrecker to pick up the car and take it to my regular mechanic. This is what i have found out. Transfer cases rarely if ever go bad. When my mechanic tried to put mine back together there were pieces missing . was it intentional or negligence on Juan's part that pieces were missing? It's been my experience that mechanics rarely if ever loose parts when they take apart parts of a car. So now i do have to replace the transfer case. My mechanic found one in 30 minutes. Why in over 3 months could Juan not find one. There is only one shop that builds them in the area. Because they rarely go bad. my mechanic replaces the transfer case . hummer should be ready to go. My mechanic takes it out for a test drive. It was not the transfer case that was bad after all. It cost me almost 4k to replace the transfer case that Juan said was bad. The issue, once again is that Juan's previous repairs caused the transmission to burn up. Sound familiar. It is the same issue that my Hummer h2 2007 had after Juan replaced the seals. He has managed to destroy all 4 of the cars he has touched. Negligence, fraud, or he does not know what he is doing. that is the question. From my experience. all of the above. read more

I would give a negative Star if it was possible. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO THIS SHOP!! My car was there for 11 days. I was told by Juan, that my car needed a timing adjustment. For 7 days after that, I was told they were waiting for a "tool" to repair my car. After waiting for the "tool" that they needed, I was told for another 4 days that they were working on my car. After 11 days of waiting with no viable communication other than me calling and being told by Maria that they were waiting for a "tool" I finally got frustrated and told them I wanted my car back to take to a shop that has the "tools" to repair it. I was then told I would cost me $495 for them to leave my car outside so I can have it towed to another shop that is equipped to repair it. STAY AWAY FROM THIS SHOP! You will get ripped off and waste your time. read more

Walked in and was pleasantly greeted by Maria she was very professional and the shop was very clean. I came all the way from Pearland to get my wifes car fixed. I dropped her car off in the morning and by the afternoon we were rolling in cold A/C. I highly recommend this business for all your car needs. Customer service has flown out the window. I had a repair done Thanksgiving week and Juan told me that if I had any further problems to bring my truck back. Well, it started running bad again , but not shops fault as we agreed to try it without replacing the module to see if would fix it. I dropped in at 7';30 am Monday morning and Juan said would have it by the end of the day. I did not get a call but did not want to bother him so waited til Tuesday to call and was told by he was getting the part to put in. but was there and was being installed. Well , again, not call on Wednesday so called and left message for Juan and he retuned call that module was in and they were resetting the computer. Still no call on Thursday so called a few times and left messages but no return calls, so asked the accountant Thursday what was going on and he said they just got the parts and were putting in. This was conflicting stories. I finally located Juan's cell phone and called Thursday. He answered and said the module was installed but needed another part and that was what was being installed. No communication on this to me or the accountant and I did not authorize any additional. He said my truck was a priority and would be ready by 10 am on Friday as he was leaving at noon. Well Friday came and I called Juan's cell at 11 and he said he was out of the country but truck should be ready and he would have the accountant call him with a price. This is the first time I was given a price. When he called with the price it was almost $1300 and accountant said that was discounted when originally said $600 to repair. When I heard nothing else form Juan and he would not return calls or texts I decided to bite the bullet as I needed my truck. So my wife took me to the shop. My wife waited just to make sure fixed correctly and no issues. Good thing as the card I use for car repairs that is interest free for 9 months has to be entered into the computer a certain way and the accountant did not know how. He tried for a while then he texted Juan but no reply. So in order to get my truck, my wife had to put on the American express card as I rarely carry credit cards with me. Now, my wife, our daughter and grandson have all used J s auto repair in the past and never had issues such as this. The repairs were always fair and honest and timely. For the owner to leave while the shop is open and not be available to conduct transactions or have someone trained to do this is not acceptable to me. My wife and I are both seniors and were not planning to pay interest to a credit card because the shop did not have a plan in place for this card. I used the same card the week before so Juan knew I would use this card. I do not know what has happened to cause this huge turnaround in customer service, but now our entire family will need to look for a new location to have our repairs complete. I do not like to write negative reviews if there is any good reason at all for a bad experience, but I could not find any reason at all for the prior customer service as each time I actually did get to talk to Juan, I stated " I just want communication if there are any delays or anything else needed" and this was not done. After having the bad experience of taking my truck there 3 times because it kept turning off and Juan thr owner told me each time he knew what it was, I decided to take it to another shop. In half a day they diagnosed the problem and got my truck fixed in a day. Unfortunately my Business partner had his work truck there and was there for over a year. He never fixed anything and actually made the issue worse. He refuses and to pay for all the extra damage the motor suffered while being there opened and not protected for over a year. I recommend me you not taking any vehicle there unless you want to keep having recurring issues. read more
