We've been going to J's for a couple months now and really love it. Their lunch special are huge portions for $7, the service is always quick and the restaurant is clean. We love that we're supporting a locally owned business and people of faith. I recommend the General Tso's tofu - pretty spectacular! Also the shrimp and vegetables is very good. A nice little Taiwanese restaurant, always good food, consistently nice service. Just a good place to get a bite too eat. Taiwanese is similar to Chinese due to their past, however, it's not the same. Regardless I'm not sure you'll notice a difference. Well worth every visit! Portion sizes are generous! read more

Love me some J's! Walked in and instantly felt the love (not always a thing at Asian restaurants). Can't remember the hostess / owner's name, but she's literally the most adorable human on this planet. My wife and I said before we even got our food that we'd come back just for her! Then the food came out, and did not disappoint. Nothing overly special or fancy about it, just well made... hot... and not soggy at all like low quality Asian food can be. Was truly truly impressed! As we were leaving we were talking to owner lady, and she told us about her THREE adult children Totally shocked since she looks about 35. Stopped in for lunch. I had been driving by for years but never stopped and I will definitely be back. Although every dining table seemed to be full and the place was exceptionally busy they had my "to go" order ready in just a few minutes. The food was good and my lunch special included entrée, rice, egg roll, crab Rangoon, and soup all for $ 6.95. It was all very tasty and the staff was exceptionally nice. There is a $7 minimum for using visa, which is understandable, considering the ridiculous prices credit card companies charge per transaction, so when you visit do them a favor and take cash. read more

Stayed in a nearby hotel for 2 weeks and ordered the combo lo Mein 4 times for supper. Noodles were great, lots of shrimp pork chicken and steak. Too much lemon grass for my liking. My new favorite Chinese restaurant. The food is amazing and the portions are huge. I got the orange chicken, less spicy, fried rice, crab rangoon, egg roll and wonton soup. The egg roll could have had meat in it. The wonton soup was great, a full-bodied broth and two wontons with another cup of crispy wonton pieces. The shrimp that my brother and dad had were HUGE and a lot of shrimp. read more

Fantastic chinese restaurant! Every order is consistently great. Their fried rice tastes super fresh. I think the only complaint I could have is not being given enough wontons for the wonton soup, but honestly that's more of a personal preference, isn't it? I have ordered takeout in the past and gotten home to find that the spice level was a bit too much for me. Called the place up, told them my problem, and they offered a different meal completely free of charge. read more

Little being the perfect word for the size of the restaurant, but it isn't a detraction or hindrance to the taste of the food or service from the staff. This place isn't good, I just went to try it and got chicken and cashews and roast beef and vegetables, it tastes exactly the same! Nothing different, very poor quality. They're both the same food/sauce but just different meat.. they also didn't even put any cashews in mine, if you want REAL and ALOT BETTER food go to Ginger and Spice on brown street in Dayton. read more

Last night was my second visit. Both times the meal was Delicious -- General Tso's chicken one time & General Tso's shrimp last night. Everything is so fresh and prepared just right. We really enjoyed the freshness of J's Cuisine, which is difficult to find in the Chinese restaurant industry. The staff was very pleasant and helpful throughout our dinner. I'm an out-of-towner who wanted to treat my host family to dinner. They selected J's Cuisine because they had enjoyed their previous take out order from J's. We decided to do take-out but were in town at the time so we stopped in to study the menu and place our orders. I noticed that when ordering the large portion entree I could purchase a soup, egg roll and crab ragoon for only $1.25. That's less than you'd pay for an egg roll alone! We ordered four entrees to share and all four were plentiful, freshly prepared and delicious. I thought the Mu Shu Shrimp was especially good but I was not fond of the pancakes. They were greenish & heavy and looked and tasted more like a spinach tortilla than the typical paper-thin pancake with which I am accustomed when eating Mu Shu. (My hosts said that when they previously ordered Mu Shu from J's the pancakes were different.) The plum sauce was tasty. Now the reason for only 4 stars: I was disappointed that although I ordered 4 large entrees and paid for the 4 additional add-ons of soup, egg roll and crab ragoon only three add-ons were provided. An additional disappointment was that not one single crab ragoon was provided, rather they substituted fried wontons. Additionally, the ordering process was a bit frustrating. I had placed my order and the cashier was adding it up on the computer when the phone rang. The cashier answered the phone. I expected him to place the caller on hold while he completed my transaction but instead he answered questions about the menu, took the caller's order and payment information and processed their payment with me standing there for a good five minutes. Over all, I recommend J's Cuisine for their tasty food at a good value and if I was a local, I definitely would be a regular! read more
