I was a bit worried as it looks more like a night club from the outside, but the food was fantastic! We ordered the popcorn chicken, the Shanghai noon burger, mama Chien's dumplings, drunken noodles, a cobra old fashion and a local beer (paper cloud?). The chicken had some unique seasoning and the drunken noodles were phenomenal; the noodles were giant and cooked perfectly and the dish has some unique touches like pea pods that you don't usually find. You order at the bar, but even with that the service was great! A server brought out an herb for us to try that is in many of their dishes. They checked in on us several times and even refilled water, which you get yourself at the back. The customer base was very diverse. Tried this gem for the first time a few weeks ago. I loved the atmosphere and dive-y feel of the bar. It has a great outdoor patio. All the employees were very kind. I loved watching the bartenders make the drinks. It's mesmerizing. We tried the Koji Popcorn Chicken, Ezzo Pizza Dumplings, Seasoned Fries, Mama Chien's Dumplings (pork & sweet potato filled). All the food was amazing. I ordered a Kopiko Espresso Martini that I will go back 10x over to have again and again. I would say the only thing I'm not a huge fan of is going up to the bar to order every time you need something. I think they could really thrive using a QR system and/or digital tabs to make that process simpler. Also so you don't have to keep leaving the table. I've been here before and the food is always good, which is why this review isn't lower. The issue was the service. We were buying drinks for friends, and the bartender asked to see their IDs. Totally understandable and not a problem at all. The problem was how it was handled. The interaction felt unnecessarily rude from the start. When I said she could bring her ID up, I was told it had to be on a separate tab because she wasn't standing with me. Again, rules are rules, but there was a noticeable difference between enforcing a policy and making customers feel like they're inconveniencing you. I have come to Cobra many times but for some reason have never reviewed it. I love this bar, it's definitely one of my favorites in Columbus. They have a full kitchen and menu as well as one of the only places I feel like with a late night menu (which has come in handy many many times). The service is always fast and friendly. The vibes are always good. I love the outdoor area as well. They also have a photo booth which I love and is s fun little touch. I've had a few menu items here, the pizza dumplings, the seasoned fries, the Dan Dan noodles, and the loaded fries. They're all delicious to start, but last night u just tried the Dan Dan noodles and loaded fries. Cobra was busy on a Saturday evening but still had room for us by a standing table, which was perfectly fine while we enjoyed our drinks! By the time we ordered food it was about a 35-min wait, and we ended up snagging a sit down table which was great. The noodles were awesome, the cocktails were very fresh, and the ambiance was busy but not overwhelming. This place was really, really good. Came in on a Wednesday at 5pm and had no issue bellying up to the bar. Our server was outstanding! Helped us with the menu, very friendly, very attentive. Read about the fries on Yelp, so we started with them. There is a reason people rave about them- so good! Then had an octopus and sausage skewer. Both were charred and outstanding, though not a lot of food (then again, it was only $8). Also got the cucumber salad which was tasty. My daughter got some beefy noodle thing that was equally good, and she only at half. Still, had to try the dumplings after all the pimping they were getting. Very pleased with the selection. Got half pork and half sweet potatoes. The garlic sauce they were in just made them melt in your mouth. Had an interesting version of an old fashioned to start. It was good, but gone in about 2 sips. If we could eat here every week we prob would. We've loved everything we've tried. As others have said, the DDD is the way to go (drinks, dumplings, dan dan). But the fries are some of the best we've had...dipped in the dumpling sauce, left over drunken noodle sauce, or on their own. The staff are all very attentive... customer care seems to be important to them. If you sit facing the bartender, watch them make drinks...it's pretty impressive. If it's your first time, note that you order, prepay at the bar, and wait for your drink there. The servers bring the food to your table when it's ready. If you are in a larger vehicle and they are busy, parking may be a challenge. The atmosphere feels vibrant even when they aren't packed. (Which we liked) read more

Met up with friends here specifically for happy hour on a Thursday. It's walk-in only and runs from 4 to 6 PM, which worked out perfectly for our group. You get seated first, then order at the bar. We tried the Yuzu Spritz ($7) with yuzu, prosecco, and soda. Super light and refreshing, liked it enough to get a second round. The Koji Popcorn Chicken ($8) was a total hit: juicy, crispy, and full of flavor with the lemon shiso aioli. We also grabbed the Seasoned Fries ($4), which came with the same aioli and were perfect for sharing. The vibes were great, with a fun, laid-back energy and a stylish space. I had heard a lot of great things about Cobra and when I made a visit back to Ohio I knew we needed to go. When you walk in you're greeting with menus and seating is first come first served. A generous amount of seating both indoors and on their patio. It was pretty crowded when we got there around 8pm on Friday but easily found seating. Food overall is good. I really enjoyed the vibe and ambiance of the interior. The food was Asian fusion. We got fries to share and the Dan Dan noodles and the chicken sandwich. Originally wanted the bulgogi chop cheese but it was all sold out. I was a little surprised with the chicken sandwich. It was just a touch too sweet for me but ultimately made sense because it was a honey soy garlic dip. I love the idea of an Asian infused burger and drinks. So many new flavors to the American cuisine. Nestled in Columbus' Brewery District, this place is a great find. Seating is first come first serve which worried me but we found a table in the bar area right away. You order by the cash register so no tables turn over quickly. Our entire table ordered burgers which were delicious and cooked perfectly. The Shanghai Noon burger had some heat but not too hot to make you sweat. I loved it. WOW just WOW. I I was so impressed by the food at Cobra when I went with some friends this past week. Cobra is the up-and-coming new bar/restaurant that you have to check out. I had been there once prior for just drinks and was amazed, but the food blew me away. For drinks, my favorite has been the XXX Sour and for $10 it is a steal. The drink has Sky Vodka, Passionfruit, Pandan, Lemon, Grapefruit, and Prosecco Rosè. It's so good and is secretly strong. For food, I got the Dan Dan Noodles with Malfadini, Dan Dan Sauce, Pork Ragu, Crushed Peanuts and Scallions. It was super good with a kick of spice. I have heard such good things about Cobra, and we just so happened to be in the area. For a Wednesday evening, it was super busy inside. We were told to seat ourselves, but there weren't any spots open at the time so we just stood around looking at the menu. We got in line to order at the bar, and my husband was able to snatch us a table. I ordered the loaded fries, my husband ordered the Garlic Soy Chicken Sandwich, and we also got some pork dumplings to share. Our food came out fairly quickly while the dumplings came out after we were mostly done with our main dishes. My husband loved his sandwich and all of the toppings, even though he isn't a big topping and condiment person. It was a little sweet for my liking, but the quality was there. My fries were super out of my comfort zone, but I was really wanting to try something new! The pork floss was absolutely delicious and the sauces on the fries were the perfect compliment. It was an amazing meal. The dumplings weren't really my favorite, as the inside was kinda just like a pork meatball and I'm not a fan of meatballs. The dumpling itself was pretty good. We placed our order and then quickly found seats inside. Amazing. I ordered the Drunken noodles and absolutely loved the snap peas in there. The only gripe I have with it is that it didn't really taste like real drunken noodles and were a bit gingery. I also got sweet potato dumplings which were also good but I couldn't eat much because the sauce it was served was a bit too sweet and tasted like ginger. They have quintessential bar food but also Asian dishes that were absolute fire. We tried the orange ribs and the short rib from the yakitori grill. Stopped in for dinner one night at cobra and it was ok. The bulgogi chopped cheese really lacked bulgogi flavor and was fairly small for $15 and did not come with a side. That's not to say the sandwich tasted it bad it just tasted like a regular chopped cheese/cheese steak. The cucumbers were pretty good definitely heavy on the vinegar taste. Outdoor seating for the summer. Interesting menu, Asian fusion, but with a twist. It says Taiwanese, and maybe I just am unfamiliar, but to me it looked like Chinese food with Italian noodles. Very good versions, very nicely balanced in terms of flavor and texture. I started with the soba noodles,served cold, with pickled turnips, I think. The pickles were my favorite part. The noodles were still very good, but I could've eaten a whole plate of pickled veggies. The Dan Dan noodles were great. As I said, seemed like Italian pasta. But the sauce and the other ingredients were very Asian. A bit of heat in the back. Warm and filling. Good service, although a couple of the people were a bit curt. Casual but elevated. What We Ordered: Vegan Dan Dan ($16) - Malfaldini, Dan Dan Sauce, Tofu, Crushed Peanut, Scallion. Always a winner. Texture on point, flavors rich and layered. Fly's Head ($16) - Conchiglie, 5-Spice Tofu, Fermented Black Bean, Bird's Eye Chili. One of the best spicy dishes in the city, full stop. But take your time, that first bite will singe your soul if you're not careful. Shishito Skewer ($6) - Simple, smoky, and does what it needs to do. I paired it all with a Stiegl Raspberry Radler ($8)--a sweet, fruity pour that reminded me of Lindeman's Framboise Lambic, only more grown. Took me back to nights with reggae and plantains (we've all got our memory triggers). But for the full Cobra effect? Go for the big Tsingtao bottle--trust me. Now yes, I noticed the menu has changed a bit. Probably a mix of tariffs, cost of goods, and trying to balance fusion with affordability. Like... why is there sausage with my octopus? Finishing up a work trib, we spent our last night in Columbus and went to Cobra for dinner. This was my favorite meal of the whole trip and I think I speak for my coworkers on that one too. We got back to Columbus a little later than we wanted and needed to get settled into our rooms after a long day so dinner was kinda late. No problem at Cobra because they serve the regular menu until midnight and then a late night menu until just before 2am. You order cocktails at the bar so we started with a beverage and looked over the menu. It all sounded great so we ordered family style and got a little bit of everything to try. I don't recall all the plates we ordered, but everything was great and the food came out super fast. If you've never had a savory shot try the broth back which is a shot of dewars with hot soup broth on the side. This is only my second time finding something like this on a restaurant menu and it might be my new favorite thing. I'm sure our group was a little delirious from a long week, but we had so much fun at this dinner and I think a lot of that is attributed to the vibe that Cobra brings. The food was far from the worst I've had, but it certainly wasn't the best either. Honestly, I don't get the hype and wouldn't return. I ordered the Shanghai Noon Burger, which was described as two beef patties, Cobra Q sauce, American cheese, fried shallots, and soy cucumbers. Right off the bat, they didn't ask how I wanted it cooked, which was a red flag. The burger itself was dry, oddly uniform in shape suggesting it may have been a frozen patty and the bun was disappointingly very low quality. The Cobra Q sauce had a strange flavor I couldn't quite place, but I know I wouldn't want it again. I specifically asked if the patty was a smash burger and was told it was, but that was clearly not the case. Overall, the burger was a 1/10 the only redeeming element was the soy cucumbers, which were absolutely divine. The Mama Chien's Dumplings were another letdown. The smell alone made me hesitant, but I gave them a chance and quickly regretted it. The texture was thick and gummy, and the pork filling had an off-putting texture as well. The seasoned fries were way too salty, and the miso soup was bland. On the brighter side, the Ezzo Pizza Dumplings were a creative spin on Pizza Rolls; crispy, flavorful, and impossible to mess up thanks to the Ezzo pepperoni. The accompanying dipping sauce was garlicky, packed with chives, and absolutely delicious. The real standout for me was the garlicky broccolini, which had a perfect balance of char, garlic, and cilantro. Service-wise, you order at the counter, pay, and they bring the food to you. The ambiance is fun, and I hear the drinks are the real highlight, though I didn't try them myself. We decided we had to go cuz the food looked amazing, and it was a good thing that it looked just as good as it tasted! Didn't realize the inside is super spacious and plenty of seating available. Their food offering is filled with nostalgic comfort food with a fusion take. I got the Pork Belly Skewer with Shrimp Sauce and the Spicy Shrimp Fusilli. Their dish in common have a nice mild spice kick to it. I especially like the Spicy Shrimp Fusilli. The pasta itself cooked just right and that sauce with fermented black bean, garlic and mix seafood. They also have a fun line up of cocktail and mocktail.
