    1992 Jeep Wrangler YJ

Jimmy was incredibly communicative through the entire process, which was fantastic since I was flying in from out of town to purchase a vehicle I had not seen in person. He was very honest and upfront about the quality of the vehicle I was buying, friendly and accommodating. I would recommend Jimmy to anyone looking to purchase and Jeep or any other used vehicle in San Diego. Also his staff were very friendly - I wanted to test drive the YJ that I bought but it was raining, and they still let me test drive it in the rain. 10/10 service, thank you Jimmy for being such a professional.

Jimmy is the best in the business in San Diego! I purchased a mint 1991 Jeep Cherokee XJ from him back in May 2023. Jimmy made the purchasing process super straight forward and easy. He was very amenable to having the Jeep inspected by an independent shop and was very fair on the price. You can also tell he is in it for the love of the cars and not just for profit. And as a bonus he has an amazing collection of cars to look at in addition to all the Jeeps. Jimmy left such a good impression that my fiancé and I are now looking at buying another Jeep, for her, from Jimmy.

My father and I were working with Jimmy. Jimmy was extremely attentive, sincere and out pressure, and went above and beyond. Jimmy did a lot of legwork to ensure we got the exact vehicle that we wanted. My father and I were both new on Jeep. We were both very pleased with the entire experience and thank jimmy for his efforts in getting us the vehicle we wanted. I highly recommend jimmy is a salesman.

Having done business with J's Motors a year ago I can honestly say I remain very much satisfied with my purchase. After negotiating the price on a mint 2001 2dr Cherokee Sport I had opportunity to fly down to El Cajon Ca and commence the transaction. Jimmy was very professional and fair throughout the entire process and from start to finish handled all my questions concerns. I'd highly recommend doing business with Jimmy!

I bought a Lot Of vehicles in my time but I never met a man like Jimmy let you feel good about yourself when you're buying a vehicle off him and he stands behind it it was a pleasure and I will recommend this dealership

Lisa was very helpful. Answered all of my questions and was very responsive when I texted or called. My biggest negative for future use is they typically only give you a ride one way when dropping off the car. I can't always get a ride back so that may make me consider going to a different service spot.

The receptionist told me an advisor would call me back. No one called that day or the next. I followed up two days later and was told my case had been assigned to Brian. I specifically asked about the possibility of waiving the diagnostic fee for an obvious stolen converter and requested a callback so I could confirm before driving in. She confirmed from Brian that it was a possibility. The receptionist assured me Brian would call that day. He never did. I waited through the weekend and called again on Monday (the day of my scheduled appointment). Crystal was helpful and transferred me to the service manager, Wendy because Brian was again not available. I explained the full situation, including the multiple broken callback promises. Wendy immediately said there was no possibility of waiving the diagnostic fee, directly contradicting what I had been told earlier. She also did not apologize the multiple non call backs. Wendy needs some actual training on how to fix issues that occur in her service department. This felt like a clear bait-and-switch. I was given the impression that the diagnostic fee might be waived in order to get me to make an appointment, only to be told the opposite once I had already waited days and followed up multiple times. The lack of communication was also very poor. I will be going elsewhere for service. Potential customers should be aware of this experience before trusting this dealership with their vehicle.

KM is now under their ownership and this dealership brings with it all aspects of shady and terrible practices. I'll try my best to condense this but its a lot to cover. DO NOT take your vehicle to be serviced here DO NOT work with their slimy salespeople DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT consider one of their "certified" pre-owned vehicles SERVICE:After over a decade of being a VW customer at this location (see former glowing review), I can tell you this is not the same dealership and I was pretty blindsided in discovering this. I've tried to shop around for other mechanics but having a German diesel vehicle has pretty much priced me locked in for services and I liked having all work history at a location. So I did a major service again. 2 Months later, a major fuel-related issue happened while entering the freeway....twice. Given the proximity to the service, it was understandable for me to think 'maybe the tech did something wrong, and quickly brought it in for diagnosis. Without barely looking at it, I was told to replace the in-fuel (low pressure) fuel pump. I was also told the 'good news' there was no metal debris present. I was told this fixes it 90% of the time. Then 30 mins later I was texted again, didn't fix it, we now have to replace the high pressure fuel pump "and see." I stopped all work on it and was now out $850. We carefully drove the car home where it's sat in the garage as I weighed my options. Well guess what? A very kind, diesel expert mechanic was able to come for a house call second opinion. He spent about 5 mins unscrewing the cap of the fuel filter (one of the items I just replaced) and there are metal shards. The car is done. The entire fuel system is lost. And the VW tech stated no metal was found and to just go ahead and replace the HPFP (a job they list as about $5k). Their expert best tech either didn't check a very basic thing, or straight up lied to get me to pay for a replacement that would have failed from a compromised system. VW corporate: This is a very big deal. I am hoping you are paying attention. This is a soon to be BBB claim. SALES: On the day I was told my car needed the HPFP replaced (before learning about the metal in the system) , I considered the option of getting a certified pre-owned electric car that had just come in. It was truly a casual inquiry. The salesman was friendly and down to earth, and shared that if we wanted to put down a deposit, no one else could consider the car (which seemed to be a rare inventory). It still needed to be serviced and cleaned, so I went ahead and did that just to secure a first look. Again, this was a casual inquiry and the friendly guy said "no pressure, if you change your mind you get the deposit back." This returned lease started to rub me the wrong way. In only 2 years it had 42,000 miles on it and it was returned extremely dirty. Carfax showed it was never brought in for service nor recalls corrected. I expressed my concerns and the sales guy just saw dollar signs of a deposit on the car and thought I committed. I wanted to see how it was cleaned up. They rushed everything with that guy seeing it as a done deal. We came in and immediately I saw coffee stains still on the armrest. Couldn't even clean it. The display screen was massively delayed on touch, the compartments abused. When we returned to the lot, the child lock was turned on for the back seat and wouldn't unlock. The guy laughed it off and said something about it being quirky. Was he this oblivious? Smiling, he asked if I was paying cash or wanted to finance. I told him I was not buying this car. Suddenly his demeanor completely changed and he decided to try some gender biased guilt trip on me... "Did I do something wrong? My manager is telling me he thinks I did something wrong." What kind of awful sales tactic is this? I felt like I was on a 2nd tinder date with someone who had no awareness. "Why did you come back then?" He demanded. Um... to get my $1,000 deposit back? Then the uncomfortable trying to sweat us out with waiting and returning with more terrible offers for a defective used car. It probably took 30 minutes to finally get my card refunded. I contacted the service manager about my experience (again, this was before finding out there is metal all over the fuel system) and their new young service manager has zero customer service skills or empathy. He ignored emails and blew me off after initiating another call. I filled out the service survey (they try to guilt you into giving them 5 stars for everything regardless of your experience) and said I wanted to be contacted in follow-up, and nothing. I contacted VW CARE with a thoughtfully written email and was replied to with a no subject canned response blowing me off. VW: You have clearly learned nothing from Dieselgate.

Explained everything, took notes of what I've done myself and at independent shops so far, set up my uber ride home, got me in and out of there in 10 minutes. Other than Jeff however, everything else was horrible. The technician that worked on my car needed to take off the glovebox, instead of taking out the documents inside and putting them back, or at least just leaving it on the seat which I'd let slide as well, my shit was flung all over the floor and I got the car back with stuff from my glove box all over the car, even under the seat. It's like he hated me specifically or something. Then the lot porters. I don't know why but every other car that came in for service, I saw that they placed a protective film on the floor and the seat so that the technician and porters don't get it dirty while being inside the car. Mine was the only one that didn't have it. It was never there. They just drove it into the bay and out of the bay without covering my carpet or seats. It's a classic car with heavy pile carpet and heavy pile velour seats that I take very good care of to make sure there are no stains. If anything the dealership should've been even more careful with my car than newer cars that have leather that's easier to clean. tThese guys just treated it like it's a piece of shit just because it's old or something, meanwhile a ford escape is getting treated like it's a vintage mustang. If you drive a ford economy car or work truck or commuter car that you don't care about, go right ahead and take it here for service. If you remotely care about your vehicle other than it just running, go find a better place.

I was told the car was "like brand new" and that everything looked good. Fast-forward about two months later, something did not feel right with the vehicle, so I brought it back in. This second experience was very different. I later learned that some of the recommended items for the 15,000-mile service were not completed. When I questioned this, I was told that if something does not need to be addressed, they do not perform it. My concern is that I paid for the full 15,000-mile service and expected it to be completed according to the manufacturer's maintenance schedule. Had those items been properly addressed the first time, I may not have needed to return so soon and pay again to have issues corrected. It left me feeling cheated and disappointed. To make matters worse, during my most recent visit I was told my car would be ready in about an hour and a half and that I would receive a call once the work was completed. After waiting more than four hours without any update, I finally had to call myself, only to find out that nothing had been done to my vehicle aside from the brake fluid flush... a service I had already paid for just two months ago and expected to have been completed properly at that time. Finding out now that it apparently was not done correctly is seriously unacceptable. The lack of communication, poor customer service, and overall handling of the situation was extremely frustrating and disappointing. I have owned two other Infiniti vehicles in the past and always had smooth experiences at their previous location. Unfortunately, since moving to the new location, the level of service and trust has noticeably declined. Based on my experience, I would not recommend them. Please think twice before bringing your vehicle here. I really hope Infiniti CORPORATE LOOKS INTO THIS. If I could give this location zero stars, I absolutely would.
