Not a good experience. Bought a 30k truck and a week later it was in the shop. They held it for 2 weeks and the problem was not fixed. We kindly asked them to do right by us and just fix the issue. This place is a joke. I was interested in purchasing the EV Hummer they had listed on their website. It was listed as having 43 miles on it, the Carfax said the same and showed that it came with an off-road package that had side assist steps. After reaching out to them, three individuals texted/emailed me. I ended up corresponding back and forth with an individual named Brandon and set up a time to meet this morning at 11am. In an email with Brandon I did ask again about the mileage on the vehicle to confirm it was 43 to which he said yes and referred me to the Carfax. I arrived this morning at 11am, after a 45 min drive and after some initial whirlwind introductions (lots workers and people inside a small office) learned that Brandon was just a scheduler of appointments and not a sales person. The Hummer was located and brought up. My husband attempted to open the back door of the car using the remotes and neither remote would open it??? The sale person had no clue why this wasn't working or how to open it. I found the outside button and finally got it opened. The sales guy then told us the car had over 250 miles on it??? We then noticed that the side assist steps were not on the vehicle. At first I thought they were ones that opened/lowered when the car was opened, nope they were missing. The car looked so unfinished with them gone. We then informed them that we were no longer interested in test driving it due to all of this. When I mentioned the mileage dispute they tried to explain to me that when the got it at auction it had the 43 miles, but they had to get it to their location and test drives, etc. While I do understand that, your website should mention that it was purchased at 43 miles, but now it has this many. It was then brought up that I had been communicating only with a scheduler and not a sales person to which my response was then he should have said let me connect you with a sales person to answer the question. I purchased a beautiful 2014 Toyota Highlander Limited (Burgundy exterior and Almond interior). I called the dealership last week and spoke to the salesman named Will. Will answered all my questions and sent me videos and pictures of the car addressing all my concerns. He was a great help and very pleasant to work with. After driving the car home for over 200 miles, the ride was very smooth and nice. Everyone in the office were also very nice and helpful. I should've read the reviews before I decided to purchase a vehicle from JT Auto Group. I found a Nissan Frontier online using CarGurus and it seemed to be a pretty good deal. I'm out of state, up north in the rust belt, and after my last rotted out truck I decided I would get one from a climate that is nicer to truck frames. So I found this truck and looked at all the pictures and had a sales person take a few of the undercarriage and everything looked good. I asked about any issues with the truck and they said everything was good minus a few chips and dents in the paint. Truck was 13,900 and at closing they tried to sneak in some insane 2 year limited warranty for $2,500. Never asked me about it, never explained what it was. Thankfully I caught it and told her to take it off, I don't need some bs "limited" warranty that costs 20% of the value of the truck. Agreed to the new final price, with shipping and then one I had signed and paid I spent over a week just hounding them for some kind of update as to when it would be shipped and who was shipping it. The price they quoted me for shipping was through a legit carrier whom I contacted and they did not go through them. They never told me who actually shipped my car or showed any kind of receipt or bill. My truck just showed up on a Sunday when I wasn't even home. Never heard from anyone. Truck has a few things that weren't disclosed but the main issue is that they sprayed the entire underside of the truck with rubberized coating. Overspray on the fan and oil filter gave it away as well as every joint, boot, wire etc. that was in their way. Absolute awful unprofessional outfit. read more

I saw a beautiful Audi while driving by and decided to stop in. Had a great experience. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and when I asked for the 'out the door' numbers, they printed a copy for me on the spot, with a clear breakdown of everything, and it even listed a warranty option. This was completely different from everywhere I have shopped before. Usually in the past its been a big hassle to get the final numbers, and I typically have to wait to speak with a finance person before I can be told what a warranty option looks like. I highly recommend stopping here when shopping for a car. Certainly glad I did. read more

I've contacted them 5 times & explained that I am interested in purchasing a 2014 Corvette they have in stock BUT I also work at a casino with very long & demanding hours & only get a day off once a week, therefore, I wanted all the buyer information sent to me in advance...simple information that any honest dealership could easily provide (carfax report, if any of the 11 recalls remained opened, photos of underbody & engine, possibly include a video of vehicle idling and a OUT-THE-DOOR price so when I get a day off next week, I know what I am dealing with & can come & complete the purchase IF the car meets the standards I am looking for. They have FAILED to provide this information. The man I spoke with last didn't speak English well & seemed to have no knowledge of the vehicle or the sales process & even though he promised he'd get the information I am requesting & email it to me by tonight...he did not. Therefore, this is obviously a dishonest dealership who seem to be more interested in the upcoming holidays than making a sale because they are doing nothing to make the buying process simple for me to accommodate my hectic schedule. I would not recommend buying a car from this dealer. I purchased a slightly used 2023 Honda Civic Si in January. I was aware of some minor issues with the vehicle, which I was fine with and planned to fix after buying. When I asked the salesman about the vehicle history report, she assured me that the car was clean and had no "issues" with the vehicle. She attempted to pull up the Carfax for me on the dealer website, but the resource was conveniently unavailable. She disclosed that she was the one who purchased the car from the auction and said that it was in great condition with no accident history. That day, I placed a nonrefundable $500 deposit on the vehicle so it was on hold while I got loan paperwork handled through USAA. After leaving the dealership, I immediately checked the vehicle's history through CarFax and found out that the vehicle was involved in a "minor" rear-end accident back in 2023. I was disappointed since I was lied to by the dealership, but I still really liked the car and decided to buy it anyway. I didn't want to forfiet my $500 I had placed earlier that day. I purchased the car a few days later and drove it off the lot. IMMEDIATELY after getting on some backroads and going 70+ MPH, the car began to crabwalk back and forth across the road. It was insanely hard to keep the car between the white and yellow lines. At one point, I almost lost control of the vehicle while going around a curve. I decided to take it to my local Honda dealership for maintenance the same day. They found that the alignment was off, specifically on the rear passenger side. It was toed 1.93 degrees and was only able to be realigned to around 0.9 degrees due to some underlying damage on the vehicle that occurred during the rear-end accident. After speaking with the sales manager, he assured me that all vehicles go through a thorough inspection process before being listed for sale. This includes the alignment. He offered to "take a look" and said that a new alignment was "an easy fix". JT AUTO was aware of the alignment issues, but cut corners and were too lazy to fix it, or at least fix it as best as possible without replacing an expensive part. They don't care about the condition of the vehicle, and they surely don't care about the safety of the customers they're selling too. They only care about money. Don't trust this dealership with your money, time, and certainly not your safety. I'll never return, and I strongly urge others to think twice before doing business here. read more

If you are thinking about buying a car from this place DON'T! We drove over 8 hours to buy a truck that was put on hold with a fully refundable deposit. When we arrived we noticed several things wrong with the truck. I wouldn't start and had to be boosted off and when driving it immediately started throwing codes. We decided against purchasing and we were immediately told that they wouldn't refund the deposit while we were there and told us to call corporate back Monday. Now they will not return phone calls and we have been hung up on twice by the salesman when asking about our refund. I will be contacting my attorney. Nothing but dishonest thieves! Went to this place cause I seen online they had the vehicle that I have been wanting. After test driving it I still wasn't really sure about it. The sales person Abraham talked me into purchasing this vehicle after I told him that I would go thru my credit Union. But That this was on a Saturday and the credit Union was closed. After the 3rd time he came to me with the deal that day because of them hollering how good of a car this was. I Purchased a infiniti QX60 on 11/22/25. Drove back home to 2 1/2 hrs away and the vehicle had a loud whiny noise. Took to Infiniti dealership to get a diagnosis test and they told me the vehicle needs a ENGINE OIL PUMP. I Literally only had the truck not even a week. They didn't even charge me for the diagnostic test cause they felt bad I hadn't had this vehicle a whole week. Capital One which is who financed it advised me that the vehicle in not beneficial to me and take it back to dealer. I drove 2 1/2 back down there to drop the vehicle off and to have them cancel the contract. When arriving there. I WAS NEVER ABLE TO SPEAK TO A MANAGER. The salesperson Abraham wanted to talk to them without me not letting me tell them what was going on. He told me I can't return the vehicle, said some other stuff, basically I can't leave the car and he didn't care what I did with it, telling me take it Walmart and leave it but I couldn't leave it there. I purchased a vehicle end of December 2024. I still have a temp tag and Last Sunday while out the vehicle had a major rear axle seal leak. It was so bad we did not want to drive it to prevent the entire rear end from locking up. My neighbor a local politician called a mechanic near by and was able to get it there. Long story short it has been repaired and I notified JT auto and a lady who is the repair manager did not even say "sorry to hear that" she just emailed me we don't do this and that. I was not looking for a refund but now the mechanic notified me it has a cracked manifold. I feel JT auto should fix the major issue. They are just selling expensive vehicles and washing them. No one should have such repairs while still having a temp tag. read more

I should have read the many negative reviews on yelp before purchasing. Absolutely horrible, dishonest, shady business. Avoid at all costs. Our salesman was nice enough, so I'll leave him out of this review since none of this was his fault. First of all, they have a crazy high $900 doc fee, so you need to add $900 to the price when browsing. Second, about an hour after I drove the car off the lot, I heard a noise that sounded like the alternator. I immediately reached out to let them know and brought the car to my mechanic to take a look. Upon confirming it was the alternator, I called to make an appointment at JT Auto's service department and told them they should fix it for free, since the car was broken when I bought it. They begrudgingly agreed, but made a huge deal about how they were not legally obligated to do so, they were doing for me out of "good will," and that they would fix it as cheaply as they possibly can. Upon arriving to my appointment, the service manager was very abrasive and "bet money" that it was not the alternator, but a wheel bearing. I explained my mechanic's diagnosis process to her, but she didn't seem to care, so I went out to the garage to explain it to the mechanic as well. Finally, they agreed it was the alternator, and told me they would replace it. After they told me it was replaced, I thanked them and went out to my car, started it up, and heard the same noise. I went back inside to ask them to take another look, and the service manager started screaming at me and calling me difficult. I explained that I was not trying to be difficult but simply asking them to look at it again. The mechanic looked at it and told me that there was no noise and that the alternator had been replaced. Suspicious, I immediately brought it back to my mechanic, who informed me that JT Auto lied to me and that they had not replaced the alternator. They showed me that there were no wrench marks in the bolts--it was same dirty alternator that they had looked at a few days prior. I called them back and they claimed that I had been there "3 times" pestering them when I had only shown up once (I don't live near Sanford) and that they had put in a used alternator and that's why it was dirty. Given that there were no fresh tool marks on the bolts indicating replacement and that my mechanic recognized his work from a few days prior, this is clearly a lie. JT Auto simply let me sit in the waiting room for a few hours under the assumption that they were working on my car, but never touched it. Don't make my same mistake. I live in PA and trying to purchase for son in college in NC after his car was totaled. I located a 15 Dart with 64k miles on it. We owned a 13 Dart that we sold with 80k on it, sweet car. He drove 2.5hrs after school to check it out. He drove it, and we put 6k down and financed the 4k balance. On his way home, the transmission popped into neutral and a transmission light came on. He pulled over and called them. Bring it back, they say. He was closer to home then there and his ride didn't want to go back with him. He drove it home and it sat. 2 weeks of back and forth and they want us to tow it to them to fix. After dropping 6k and purchasing a warranty, the car made it 80 miles. I'm not paying for that tow. Ok, take it to the dealer and have them call us. Dealer calls and tells them the TCM needs replaced. Warranty won't cover it. Bring it back here and we'll discount your repair bill here. Really? Not sure of how this will end up. I'm trying to be optimistic, but it doesn't seem like they are trying to even meet me half way here. Policy is we don't pay anything towards outside repairs. Wow, now that is what you call customer service. Trying to set an example for a young man and this is what we get. Be better people. What if it was your child that was 500 plus miles away dealing with this. BTW, he's been three weeks without a ride at this point. Tow it to them on us, and then drive another 2.5 hours to pick it up. Please, I'm on my way now, hold your breath. read more

Poor customer service and/ or disorganized. Called your team on friday morning a few weeks ago. I requested an appointment for that evening to look at a specific car. Was told that appointment was all set. Late friday afternoon that day , i set out for JT auto group, an hour drive away. I pulled over a few minutes into my journey to call and make sure that the car was still availiable and the appointment was still on. Was told by staff that they couldnt find my appointment. Then was told, " appointment found . You are all set. The appointment wasnt made correctly when you first called this morning. " 50 minutes later I arrived at JT auto group. Was working on a deal with this dealership. I insisted on a pre-inspection. They said no problem to order it from "lemon squad" and they would hold the vehicle until I got the results at which time I would have to put a deposit down. I finally got the results called the dealer to ask a question and the vehicle had been SOLD out from under me. I paid over $250 for an inspection and when it was time to go further they had already sold the vehicle. Now the kicker. The vehicle had major codes on it that obviously without having this inspection I would have never known about. I am sure the new owners have no idea that there is even an issue as from my research this is a major fuel problem that doesn't go away. Oh, and the question I had about the vehicle. They had advertised it incorrectly so it didn't even have the options they were claiming it did. I wouldn't say I wouldn't buy a vehicle from them, I am just saying that the buyer should be the most informed they can be before purchasing. One more thing, when I called my salesperson they said we do not hold vehicles without a deposit. The exact opposite of what they said when they said I could order an inspection and then place the deposit once I got the results. The salesperson was told by the inspector there were codes and I would assume nothing was done before it was sold to someone else. read more

My daughter purchased a 2017 Honda Accord in June 2024. We test drove the car and the air was not working and the tire pressure light was on. The salesperson Samantha didn't even know. She said she will send it done to service. They stated they charge the AC and when we actually picked up the car the AC was working. The tire light was due to them not putting sensors in the new tires which is cheap so that should have been a red flag for us and the fact the car had no gas when we test drove it and they only give $15 in the car and that $15 is even when you purchase it. So upon pick of the vehicle we had to fill the gas tank up. Back to the AC it went out a month later. We called the salesperson Samantha back who called service who said bring it in and inquired about her extended warranty. I told Samantha I will not be bringing the car back to them if they think they going to charge and use her warranty. I mean if that's what you going to do then we going some where else. Ask for a manager then. Nothing. Between me and my daughter we have called them back and has ask for the manager and each time including the time of me writing this review, no one (manager) has returned our phone call and we do not live near Sanford to just pop up. I actually called the service department on Tuesday August 13 after leaving the Honda dealership to speak with the service manager and was asked what it was regards to and they didn't come to the phone and I was told they would call me back. As of August 16, I have still yet to hear from anyone from JT Auto Group. I expressed to the ladies who answer the phone my frustration about her AC and how they said it was fixed plus all the other repairs she had to get done. We took the car to Southpoint Honda and her condenser and a valve was leaking. Luckily she purchased an extended warranty and it has been repaired with a $250 deductible . In last then 2 months of her having the car, she had to get an oil change, back brakes and a back rotor. The amount she had paid for this car$18,000+ is ridiculous when she still had to spend money getting repairs done. The lack of response and accountability is ridiculous. We also had to bring it back because her lights wasn't working during the first week and the service department was not happy. She also has to get a part at the front of the car that looks like a dummy light, I will call it because I don't know the name but my mechanic friend called to get the part from a part store and that's another $162. I will never buy again, or refer anyone to this place. This is exactly why I told my daughter to take her money to a bigger dealership. read more

Bought a 2017 KIA from this Dealer. Good Price, but there was a catch....The Vehicle was advertised with having no accidents and clean. Upon Delivery of the vehicle I found a cracked rear spoiler and broken glass in the spare tire area along with other debris they failed to clean up. contacted this dealer from an ad on a car I saw online because I'm shopping from out of State. price was a good but when I was given final price, it was $3k-$4k higher. they claim the advertised price was a mistake, it was no longer a good deal but a fair deal so I put a $500 deposit to hold the car. when I got the cost breakdown, the increase included $899 document fee. No registration or trades in were needed, only a paper plate so I could drive the car out of State. I contacted the dealer to complain about the excessive charge. the salesman explained to me that one reason why doc fee was high was because the car was under retail. so it's a shell game over there. I still wanted the car and did not want my deposit returned. the salesman dropped the conversation and returned the deposit and broke the contract. salesman said there was no contract because nothing was signed. the fact is, if we agree to a price and I put down and the accept my deposit, we have a contract. agai, I wasn't going to ask to stop the sale, just angry about how they came to the price. The dealership as a whole may be okay but this salesman named Desmond in my opinion was awful. No managers attempted to get involved. read more

I should have followed my gut when I was communicating with this dealership and go to another dealer......I purchased a 2017 Chevy Colorado that I didn't have checked out like I knew I should have so I truly blame myself for falling pray to this awful dealership and their hazardous vehicles that they sale knowing they could hurt people but they don't care. I test drove a vehicle at or around 12 on 6July 2020 there were no lights on the vehicle that indicated there was a safety issue. Vehicle was delivered at 10 PM...The morning the service theft deterrent system light was on and it would not turn off. I can only assume the service detection light came on during the 45 mile trip from Sanford. The very next day I was driving the vehicle and the vehicle stalled in traffic and just stopped. The stalling and dieing in traffic happened 2 additional times in 5 days...I thought maybe it was the battery but I was informed it is the alternator and it is at about 15.8 which is a dangerous level the truck could catch on fire is not fixed. I contacted the dealer the night of the 10th and called on 11 July 2020 and spoke to service manager Samantha she informed me she had passed the email to her manager. I did not receive a response via email or telephonically. Eventually Ricardo contacted me stating give him to Monday to respond....Surprise Surprise I never heard from him...The vehicle was sold as is therefore my complaint is the dealer is selling vehicles that are dangerous and they had to know the vehicle had alternator issues and didn't fix it. My sales ripoff person was Ricardo and I can only suggest and warn you to be better than I me..stay away!!! read more

The folks were nice but the car had issues. I purchased a Tesla from JT Auto group last year. Full disclosure, it is salvage title and I knew that came with some risk. The first issue was that JT Auto Group listed the car as a model 3 performance but it is actually a dual motor, long-range (a trim level below). I wasn't able to spot the differences when I bought the car and thought I was getting a great deal. Then, a few months in, the car started showing a code for an isolation fault. Tesla is telling me that the rear motor needs to be replaced, an unexpected, $6k repair within the first year of ownership. The third issue I had was with the tags. I was also told they were handling the transfer of my tags to the new car but someone dropped the ball and I was unknowingly "riding dirty" for many months. I had to call multiple times to get the issue resolved and ended up going to the DMV and handling it myself. read more

Ok, I acknowledge that "your milage may vary" with car dealers and I am certainly not one to tread lightly into any dealership, but... My wife, son and I enjoyed our dealings with JT AutoMart and TJ--our salesman. At no time were they anything but respectful, courteous and helpful. TJ even went so far as to call the Honda dealership to pull the VIN for recalls and check for the balance on the powertrain warranty. We had our car checked out from a local shop--also HIGHLY recommend--and they had nothing negative to say about the vehicle. I believe I got a great deal, also using USAA, on a VERY low mileage Civic. I would certainly give them a shot. The entire experience was easy and fast. If I had to buy another, I would go there to see what they had and give them a shot. read more

Bought a Dodge Ram here. They had obviously done a cheap chemical fix on a blown head gasket. The problem reared its head a couple weeks after the purchase. It was like pulling teeth to get it repaired. They finally agreed to do the repairs and it took them 2 MONTHS to complete them. It was been a couple months since the repairs were "completed" and now the problem is back. Less than 1500 miles later the head gasket is somehow blown again. They either didn't fix it correctly in the 2 months they had to do the repairs or they let it sit there for 1 month and 29 days then did another cheap short term chemical repair. It has been a nightmare. They exist to scam people, especially military personnel. Avoid this place like the plague. They're crooks. read more

Vehicle Purchased: 2015 Toyota Sienna, April 22, 2019 I found JT Automart and the 2015 Toyota Sienna on the internet for $19,400, talked via cell phone to Charles and set an appointment for noon on April 22, 2019. A friend drove me to JT Automart, approximately 80 miles from my home. I arrived on time. Issues undisclosed or avoided at purchase. NO GPS--Salesman Charles met me and had the Toyota Sienna parked in front of the office. I saw on the screen "traffic" with our location quite obvious. Charles clearly said, "The GPS manual is in the glove compartment." It was there so I accepted his word. I commented that I would have to study the manual later. He may have been clueless! However, his job as salesman is to inform the potential buyer of such matters. I later learned from the Toyota manufacture that this particular model does not have a GPS system! Two Warranties were pasted on window: the largest one was later determined to be "catastrophe warranty" only, second smaller, clearly stated: "No warranty!" No door fob provided with purchase; I accepted as a minor consideration. Stability unit not functioning (see photo). Either Charles or Devin made a comment that problem was only a "sensor" but they did not have time to fit it before I arrived. Much more that a simple sensor, the cable sub-control cost $474 online. I did not find this out until I returned home and had my local repair shop look at it. Ultimately, I had the sensor installed locally costing over $800. When I called to ask about the sensor, the JT Automart maintenance department said, "I had agreed to accept the vehicle as it was for the "reduced" price of $19,000." I did agree but I was under the impression that the "sensor" would be under the $400 price reduction. They did offered to install if I bought the unit and brought it to their location! When I called for clarifications, I was directed to maintenance department. I could not talk to the salesman or manager. The manager, Devin Wicker, offered to reduce the sale price from advertised $19,400 to $19,000 because I intended to pay cash. I did pay cash because I thought I could replace the fob and sensor for $400. Of course, the sensor was a far more expensive than just a "sensor" because it also controlled much more. I am quite certain the manager knew the $400 was not going to cover the sensor because they did not want to pay for it. I cannot know this for sure. However, when he would not speak to me on the phone, I became suspicious. I think these issues: the GPS was not as implied, the stability sensor was far more than implied, the warranty was not as implied... all made me quite certain the "deal" at best was misrepresented. Yes, I signed documents that I was buying the vehicle without a warranty but the sticker on the window clearly stated a warranty exists on the vehicle. Why have I waited so long to write? I realize that my problem will not be corrected. However, perhaps one or more reading this review will be more careful in buying from JR Automart. One last comment: Somewhere in their advertising, JR Automart mentions they give special consideration to veterans! Much was made of my two tours in Iraq and a total of 21 years in uniform. Came to buy a car cash in hand couldn't find a sale person anywhere. They have nice cars but no customer service.

DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM JT AUTOMART I bought an F450 from them in August and was completely ripped off and treated like crap. We had a due bill of sale that said to check and fix the power steering, to detail the truck, to refill all of the fluids (including diesel exhaust fluid), and to fix the hydraulic pistons for the hood of the truck. We left the car there overnight and the next day so they could fix the truck because we are from out of state. My husband and I received a call saying that the owner is upset at the low price the sale's guy sold it to us for and said they did not want to fix the truck's issues. My husband basically said tough crap, it's in our contract . So, when he went to pick it up the next day he checked all of the fluids under the hood and it seemed clean and could turn the wheel alright . He drove it home, straight shot, carrying our other car on a rented trailer. We parked the car and did not drive it the rest of the day or through the night . When we checked the fluid levels the next afternoon the power steering had leaked out significantly . We immediately called Jt Automart and they said we would have to drive it back , about a 4 hour drive so they could work on it but my husband was concerned about paying all of the diesel to drive it over there and having more shady work done on the truck (who would trust the work promised if they already violated the contract) . We got it checked out by ford and they found that the pump was very obviously malfunctioning and they replaced it . All of this cost a little more than 900 dollars to get fixed. In the mean time, I still had not received my title, we had not received the hydraulic pistons that were promised to be mailed to us and did not for around three months (I had to call multiple times, they said they shipped them. I called some weeks later and they said they forgot to ship them and would send them right away), the diesel exhaust half full light came on the next day right before my husband had planned on going on a long trip, and we found dirt under the seat compartments and red dirt on the air conditioning vents (they did not detail it). When I called and asked for a call back because the person I needed to talk to was out of the office the majority of the time I never got a call back. I only received a call back a few times in December when I needed some paperwork. I offered to have the car towed there at their expense since they violated to contract, to have the work done somewhere else and have them reimburse the dealership or me or at least talk to the owner before I tried small claims court . I was trying to work out a compromise but the financial specialist there is a condescending, rude, apathetic, frustrating person who called my husband and I Liars and who made this so difficult to resolve I had to go to the Navy Jag Officer (I'm active duty and was working 50-60 hour work weeks trying to resolve this). I told them about the work and how much it cost and they offered me a 300 dollar check which I declined, then she offered me, weeks later , half of the cost of the work . This was all after I submitted a complaint through the better business bureau. Finally, I went to the Jag office again and got half of the price of the parts , labor, and tax which was around 450. All of this because these mechanics did not do there job, the people who were supposed to detail it did not do their job, and the financial specialist was awful who tried to "empathize with my situation" and treat my husband and I like I was dumb. Went to JT Auto Mart with my son yesterday, as he is interested in a Suburu WRX they advertise online. After arriving and walking to the car, a slick middle aged man with aviator sunglasses and a cigarette walks up and asked if my son is interested in the WRX. Salesman: Do you want to drive it? Son: I don't know...I'm not prepared to buy today...maybe. Salesman: Well, if you're not ready to buy, no test drive, as we don't want to run the mileage up. Me: Let me see if I have this straight...you're saying you don't want anyone driving the car unless they're ready to buy right this minute? Salesman: That's right. Me: How in the world do you sell any cars with an attitude like that? Do you not realize people do homework before a major purchase, and they may come back and buy at a later date, especially if they're treated right? Salesman: Don't you worry, we sell plenty of cars! I recently used the USAA Car Buying service to purchase a vehicle through JT AutoMart in Sanford, NC. I cannot believe this organization is considered a USAA Certified Dealer. When signing the papers for the car they insisted they offered me a $200 dollar military discount (even though it wasn't listed in the papers) and tried to force me to sign a paper stating I received the discount. The dealer then insisted that I received discounted price because of USAA. I had to pull up their website and the USAA site and show them that the prices were identical. Only then did they redraw the papers with the $200 removed. When I drove the vehicle on a Saturday, the sales person had two keys in his hands. When I picked the vehicle up on Tuesday (they had to clean it in a failed attempt to remove the cigarette smoke from the vehicle) I received only one key...and that one was deprogrammed! Now, I have to spend $200 to get a newly programmed key from the Dodge dealer. JT AutoMart's response? "Not our problem. Good luck." They also do the state vehicle inspection themselves. No wonder everything passes. Horrible customer service. They are truly on interested in making the sale. Repeat customers or customer referrals are not a factor. read more

I contacted them about a car they have for sale, I live 7 hours away, so asked detailed questions, asked if there was any rust, they sent me a picture that was not clear enough to see anything, and stated that it had no rust, was clean, so I drove 7 hours to get the car, to find they had deceived me, it had flaking rust on it that had been painted over, they would not make the issue right, I can not recommend them to anyone, they work on peoples ignorance, please avoid. read more

This involves a 'Safety Issue' which could have altered my boyfriends life! He purchased a vehicle from TAZ Auto who has their headquarters with JT Auto Group. When he bought the vehicle they told us (I was with him) that the rear break blinker, alignment, and trailer brakes needed to be fixed and asked if I could pick it up two days later than my purchase. We did this. When we returned, they had said they could not get it repaired and said that if he took the vehicle to a place to get the repair done, they would reimburse him. We were told this by Dale, the cars salesman. My boyfriend is a transporter and this was a commercial vehicle. He had a load going east and so he got the repairs done there. We ended up having to return to TAZ Auto to resign papers because the "only" commercial banking company (which is why they said the interest rate was so high) could not do the loan so they just happened to find another. We went back in and he resigned and provided the receipts. Ron, the guy in finance took a copy of the receipt and said it was no problem. Weeks have gone by (he purchased the vehicle in Sept 2018) He made several calls to Jim, the sales manager, Ron the finance person, Jack, the owner, Dale, the salesman, Samantha, a secretary there, and Christy the other secretary. Every time he called, they told him that whomever was asked for was either on vacation or that they would return his call. Then my last call was with Dale. He said my boyfriend would not 'Fu*(*&!' be reimbursed and that he had text the information, (he never did text or return any calls this entire time). My boyfriend could have been in a serious accident if he would not have fixed the issues and he would never have done it without being told he would be reimbursed. We do have it in writing that he would be reimbursed. Dale is the one who wrote it. This business is out for the money and not the welfare of the customer. They are selling vehicles that are not safe and making promises and guarantees that they will not stand by. read more

This post is in relation to their sister company TAZ. I bought a Dodge Ram from here under a month ago and already I am having to put in up $4,000 dollars worth of work into it. My husband called the company multiple times to talk to the person that deals with warranties and she continually ignored our calls or did not call back. Only by chance was my husband finally able to get through to her. Just for us to tell us the issues were not covered under the warranty. Which is understandable we signed the contract. However, with the amount of issues and the significance of the issues, I am completely baffled at how this truck "passed" an inspection at all. These are not minor issues that can easily fly under the radar, it is major components of the truck that make it run. I am completely dissatisfied with the service and LEMON we received from this company and I highly recommend you look elsewhere to purchase a vehicle. Furthermore, when I called USAA to have the company removed from USAA's certified dealers, JT Autogroup claimed they had nothing to do with TAZ Autogroup, in attempt to not be removed from USAA. The company flat out lied, as all our repairs were done through JT Autogroup. So I'm curious as to how they believe that TAZ Autogroup is not apart of their company. read more

I purchased a vehicle from them in February. The service department has been wonderful, the sales and customer service staff has been rude, unhelpful, and have not returned my phone calls. 8 hours after purchasing my car, it shut off while I was driving down the highway and would not restart. I had it towed back to JT Auto Group, who then replaced my fuel pump and main ground line, they had my car for 6 days. I spoke with people trying to see if I could arrange another form of transportation (loaner car, rental reimbursement, etc.) I was met with a firm "No". I picked my car up when it was ready and had it again, this time for 10 days, before the same thing happened, I was driving down the road my car shut off, and then would not restart. As I had it towed back to JT Auto Group for the second time, knowing I would not have a vehicle for a significant amount of time, I began to ask about trading in my car or returning my car. Devin the sales manager has been rude, unhelpful, and told me that "this is a service issue, not a sales issue". I just want a working vehicle and I was sold a lemon. The sales department has not worked at all to fix this problem, and seems to not care about giving customers a functioning vehicle. read more

Trust the negative reviews. I recently purchased a car from this dealership. They made me sign 3 docs they say as is and I kept asking for the 3 month/ 3k mile warranty. They gave it to me at the end of signing with no dealer info. I was happy to be getting a nice car for the 1st time in my life. This dealership will provide "passed emission" test, but they somehow clear codes or provide paperwork on a similar vehicle to trick you to buy. The day I bought the vehicle the check engine light came on and the car went in a limp mode. They refuesed to pick it up and fix the issue. They bank on getting their cash before you run enough miles to show the codes and issues on the car. They are manipulative and shady. They wont call you back. Jack the owner is present when you buy the car but never present when you try to call for him. The dales people are trained to say he isnt there. He is a horrible person and this dealership is in the business to scam people are one of the largest purchases they make in their life. I should be happy and excited about my new car, but Im sad and disheartened about the amount of disrespect and lack of customer service provided by this place. Dont buy from them. Tell your friends and family. They should be grateful someone chose to buy from them and want to do everything they can to help their clients. These people should be put out of business. read more

This lot is a rip-off rotating door. My son bought a 2009 Subaru from this guy last week with a 30-day warranty & come to find out the car should have never been off the lot as it wouldn't pass a safety inspection in any state let alone NC. Needs over $2k in repairs and when my son attempted to work out some sort of compensation through the lot "warranty" was told by the sales manager that he didn't give a s*** about a warranty and wasn't going to pay a f****ng dime in repairs for the vehicle. This place is a scam - can't wait to drag them over the coals in court. read more
