She didn't appreciate that Jenny takes her time and prioritizes quality over quantity, unlike the others who seem more focused on rushing through clients and taking multiple clients all at once. I'm so glad she's now at Bella's Hair Salon, just 5 minutes down the road from Hair Faire. Plus, the owner of Bella's Hair Salon is very kind too. I'll follow Jenny wherever she goes because she gives the best haircuts and color. On top of that, she's incredibly sweet and so easy to talk to!

(He quit going when after the second time she hired him to do some work at her house and tried to swindle him, he just finally had to say enough is enough, cut his losses, walked off the job, and refused to go back to get his hair done there.) Enough about that, though. What she did to my hair and worse, and the 'dishonesty' (omission of truth is also a lie :/) about it, was the last straw. In four years I had 'only' let maybe two other people cut or colour my hair besides Jamie...but I have to get it done every five weeks so you can imagine it gets expensive. Thus, I started going to Hair Fsire. However, 95% of time I would only go for color, because Jamie is not very good with scissors. (as you can see from the picture! ?) I would go see Jamie every five weeks and she touched up my roots. Every (roughly) second time or so, I'd have her put in some highlights. The problem with Jamie is that she doesn't pay attention to the time. She's often left bleach sitting on my hair too long. This has damaged my hair of course. But the last time was two months ago. I think she was doing somebody else's hair, which was often the case ...while the bleach ' sat 'on my hair. This last time, however, she waited way too long to check it and before you know it, it was fried. I mean fried! She asked me if I wanted a trim (like I said normally I don't, but she was sort of pressing it ). It was a Saturday and I was reading my book and relaxing, and so I said yes but only to trim 'the ends' off. This is what I was left with. What happened (which I didn't peace together for a couple weeks) was she had completely fried my hair, and then cut it all /"chopped it all up" all (terrrribly lopsided uneven hatchet job) obviously trying to hide the mess .. ie the burning and singing of my hair. Much of my what must've melted off in globs My hair grow so slow. I'm going to have to grow it out for about a year now, then cut it off and regrow it all out. I admit, I ahead of time, I asked her if she would fix it, but she decided she didn't want to. She only wanted to do a conditioning treatment. No that's not gonna cover the bottles of hair vitamins that I'm having to buy to grow my hair out nor the embarrassment of walking around with my hair looking the worse it's looked in years and years. Trust me.. stay away from this place and save your money. The truth is Jamie likes to think she knows everything, that she's smarter than everyone in the room, yeah she'll sit there and talk about her old arrests, drug history, and her exes who are all in prison. Makes no sense. I listened because I felt sorry for her, but I can't imagine if I was the one running this shop and having somebody like this work here I went to her because she was the only reasonably priced person I could find for the number of times I have to get my hair done. I'm sure it'll be worth paying more now.

Their friendliness and professionalism was beyond what one typically finds when taking a seat in an unknown chair. But both were impeccable and friendly. The Texas atmosphere was inviting, but the openness and design of the salon were cool against the 105 degree heat just outside on tre Garland Town Square. Their care for my 98 year old mom was superb. She said as we got out of car, "I don't really want to get my hair shampooed and done," but afterward said as he hit the heat, "Boy did that feel good! I never really wash my hair at my age but it felt wonderful. When do I go back?" Thank you Harvey, Jonathan, Nannette and mostly Elisa who greeted us and chatted with me in Spanish. Will be back. My son has been going to Tangles and Knots since he was one. Every time has been a great experience. Mrs Lavonda knows how to make a child feel comfortable when getting there hair cut. They get to watch tv while they get the hair done. Then they get a sweet treat afterwards only after the parent says it's ok. If you have a smaller child they also have a cute fire truck that they can sit in and ring the bell too. I drive about 30 minutes to get to Garland and it's well worth it. 10/10 would recommend!

Vince squeezed me in and started with a great wash followed by an even better cut. I've had a few cuts where it feels like they cut straight across and call it good. This was a real old school very detailed cut. He paid attention to what I requested and executed it perfectly.
