Chemical Burned Hair and Rude Service - Stay Away I had a terrible experience here, and I feel obligated to warn others. The salon is far from clean--I saw a lunch bag sitting right next to hair dye while I was getting my hair washed, which is completely unhygienic. Afterward, I developed a bad rash, which I suspect came from the unsanitary conditions or the products used. During the process, the hairstylist sprayed mist on my hair without reminding me to close my eyes. When the liquid got in my eyes, she noticed and casually said it was "just water," then told me I needed to close my eyes. The reason I hadn't done so earlier is because she had interrupted my perm halfway through, saying she needed to apply hair brilliantine or some other styling product to another male's hair. She then came back to work on my hair without washing her hands. At that point, I had no idea whether the products she was using on me were meant for me or had been used for other clients. The female hairstylist who worked on my hair was extremely RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL. At one point, she questioned why I had a small bunch of hair after applying the solution before my perm, but it was obvious that she either left or forgot that bunch of hair during the process. Instead of listening to what I wanted, she gave me the style SHE thought was "pretty," completely ignoring the picture I showed her. She even told me that what she did was "much prettier" than the look I wanted! To make matters worse, my hair ended up chemically burned. She used a hair dryer and styling comb to mask the damage, making it seem fine. I even gave her a $40 tip, thinking everything was okay. But when I washed my hair at home, I realized how badly my hair was burned. Friends and colleagues kept asking me what had happened to my hair, which was really embarrassing. Before I left the salon, she actually PUSHED me--totally unprofessional behavior. This place is unsanitary, and the staff clearly doesn't care about their clients' preferences or well-being. I wanted to give this place a better review, but just can't because they ruined my wife's hair. She came in for hair straightening and coloring. Helen, the hair stylist seems like an ok lady, but her pulling technique was really bad. She didn't pull properly for hair straightening so the hair was visibly permanently bent at the point where she started pulling. This will cause your hair to break at that point, which I obviously didn't know until later. We came back a few days later to show her that and Helen said it's normal! I'm sorry, but no it's not normal to have your hair broken from your head like that, as shown in the picture. So yeah we did give her a chance to redeem, but she insisted that it was how it's supposed to be... well lesson learned! Don't go there for hair straightening! read more

I went there today to get a haircut since it has been six months because of the outbreak that I would refrain myself from going to a salon. They charged me 30 dollars (this does not include the tips) for a haircut that I could get from somewhere else for 15 dollars or less (this does not include the tips). I thought they would cut my hair by using the picture I had showed them on my phone but the man Qiao cut it way shorter than I had want it. The really nice lady named julie took me in without reservation. I called to see if I can go right away and she accommodated me on saturday since she was open. She went over the color options for me and it was supposed to be chestnut brown but it turned out dark like black. Other then that she trim my hair quickly and with 130 bill since she used the better dye solution. The breakdown is 30 for the hair cut. I would try her again for the trim but not sure about the hair dye. read more
