Since their soft opening I have ordered 2 pies. Each pie I paid for extra toppings. Both pies did not come with the extra toppings I paid for. I live in the area, so I walk there to pick up the food. Unfortunately both times I did not verify the food before I left, but honestly I shouldn't have to. I was so excited to come back here after being sad they had closed. However, idk what about the pizzas this time it just didn't taste as good as before and also the vibes here has definitely changed. Now they are rubbing more like a sit down restaurant where they will bring you to a table and take your order there - which is fine. But something about the pizza sauces just didn't hit the same as before. I got their special for the World Cup that's suppose to be pesto and margarita sauce but the pesto was very much 1% there. The pizza sauce tasted a lot sweeter than I would have liked. They also don't let you do half of each pizza anymore which sucks and was a big reason why we liked going especially for the price. I've been putting off coming here for a while, mostly because my daughter loves Pau Hana Shaved Ice around the corner, so I'm always in the area but never made it inside. My first thought when I walked in was what a cool, trendy little place with TVs everywhere and a great beer menu. I'd heard about the garlic fries and the upstairs area, so those were definitely on my to-do list. I ordered the garlic fries and a sandwich and was honestly shocked that it was over $30. Thank goodness I wasn't eating with my friend, who usually brings the bill up to forty dollars when we're together! I ate most of the fries there and took the rest home, and they were perfect after a quick warmup in the air fryer. The upstairs was so quiet, we had the whole area to ourselves. The only thing is, it seemed like the employees hang out there on their breaks, which I don't really blame them for. One weird thing I noticed is that all the TVs were on silent without closed captions. We were watching preseason football, and it would've been nice to have one or the other. And on top of that, one TV was way ahead of the other on the same game, which was really strange. No good for scoring runs. The decor and feel of the place were great, though. The garlic fries were the bomb, and my sandwich was super meaty and good no skimming on the garlic or the meat. I couldn't decide on a pizza, so I went with my usual go-to sandwich, but I'll definitely have to try a pizza next time. I should have asked if I could go off-menu because I love me some ham and pineapple. Yes, I said it, and yes, pineapple does belong on pizza. Overall, JTown is a true hidden gem and an extremely good place. I came here a few years ago with my wife's family. We had a great time eating on the rooftop. We all ordered a pretty big spread: 3 large pizzas, wings, peppers, etc. I'm a huge fan of their Hawaiian pizza and regular pepperoni sausage. Their pizza comes out freshly made and the crust has this nice crisp to it. The toppings are premium so it's not that cheap fast food type ingredients. The slices are fairly big too so that's a plus. Came in on a Sunday afternoon, around 2:30pm. Got a 16" pizza: half Drunken Chicken and half Godzilla, with netball trolls and two IPAs. Ambiance: 10/10. They have outside seating , with a dope mural on the patio side , and fans with big nice umbrellas for some shade ! Food: 10/10. The pizza was really good and the meatball eggrolls did what they needed to do. The eggrolls are really kind ground beef and cheese vs an actual meatball but same same right? Parking in the area is kind of hard to get with most of it metered. The building is very cool with seating down stairs upstairs and outside. The upstairs where we sat has at least 3 televisions in different locations. On the walls you will find murals of Godzilla "I thought that was cool as I'm a huge Godzilla fan" We ordered a pitcher of coke and a pepperoni pizza. The pizza was super oily but to be honest is was really good! I was expecting pizza to revisit me later that evening "if you know what I mean.... Heartburn " but it never did. Delicious pizza and delicious sandwiches. Godzilla pizza was my favorite but the spicy bamboo is a close second. Crust is great, sauce is perfectly proportioned and toppings are plentiful; everything you want in a pizza. The Duchess, deep fried turkey sandwich was awesome too. The sprouts and tasty aioli really give the sandwich incredibly contrast and flavor. It is a saucy sandwich; so napkins are needed.
