Top Worst experiences with my toddler son ever. my wife has to handle it I'm so upset. When seating people u shouldn't seat them on top of each other while the whole restaurant is empty and then not take accountability when the person seated next to u is aggressive and mean and changes tables then makes u feel threatened ur entire meal. I didn't eat the food bc I didn't trust it after hearing what was said from Th table I was sitting. At. No manager. My goal was to get my son out of the restaurant bc I felt threatened without the presence of a manager. Big supporter of small business in Sayville and Bayport and strong believer in helping out Very sad to see this experience I never leave reviews either my friend told me it was a great place to get pancakes I was very upset And I know the owners too to boot on a friendly basis I'm very upset. Wife called no manager on staff to handle the issue very unfortunate still paid my bill and left 20 hours percent to avoid any confrontation w the aggressive individual who clearly had a problem with me and made me feel uncomfortable bc of his assumption i was talking about politics which btw if u were u still can and shouldn't be a little baby about it people have the right to talk about whatever they want at there table. I actually love the owners I don't think they would have approved of this at all: so I'm not holding the waitress accountable but the other girl whoever she is very disappointed In her behavior who I thought was the manager but just must have been another waitress who was just friends w the guy making fun of me and cursing in my direction while my son was there. Moral of the story all of this could have been solved w a floor manager that's my recommmenfation didn't get to try the food bc I was so upset at the incident that unfolded not bc it unfolded but bc no one seemed to care I was a paying customer with rights as a paying customer to talk on the phone in an empty restaurant to my brother about an important issue so there's my piece on it I'm not removing the review it's not wrong to express urself in society about wrongful acts against paying customers. Service was good. Coconut shrimp appetizer was good, baked clams special appetizer were inedible. Greek flatbread was average, the skirt steak was very good and large. For dessert we had a strawberry shake that was very good and a special dessert "Funny Bones" were also very good. I felt that the clams should have come off the bill. Clams: We each ate one, there was something definitely wrong with them. The server asked why we didn't eat them, I told him that they didn't taste right, he said ok, took them away. Didn't ask if we wanted anything else and charged us for it on the bill. I charged the bill paid for it in full with a full tip, but circled the clams to see they wanted to reconsider charging us for them before the finalized the charge. Came here on a whim, passing by. I have never experienced such a wonderful atmosphere in a Cafe. From the absolutely stunning staff I had the pleasure of meeting on a Monday morning (Leah, Lauren an Brian) to the honestly rt worthy plates of food that were brought to me. I had thanked the chefs personally for the pallet tingling flavors I was given in every bite. I love this place and will now come here for each Monday. It was a truly sensational experience I would wish on any person. I would like to give a shoutout to the staff at the Cafe. We had brunch on one of the busiest days of the year, all the staff, hostess, servers and bus kids all worked together.
