But when Richard came along, he made me feel so at ease and offered support in any way he could. It felt more like he was a supportive friend than anything else. And honestly, he was the best decision we made. We booked our videographer based on who he worked well with, and we felt comfortable knowing that even if all the other vendors were terrible, Richard was going to be our light on our wedding day. We got to know him during our engagement shoot, and thank goodness we did. Because on our wedding day, it felt like seeing an old friend, which made us so happy to see him and photos easy. Maybe we're more emotional than most, but having someone genuine, respectful, and kind-hearted to be with us on our wedding day weighed more than most other factors. But on top of him as a person, his photos are freaking amazing. The placement and positioning, the poses, the angles -- his art is crafted truly from through years and years of experience. He captured some of the most important moments of the night as well as some moments I didn't even know happened. He makes do with whatever situation is given to him, and he's thinking about different shots all throughout the day while being present and attentive with us. He had some aerial shots of our wedding, and we thought, "did he leave a camera all the way up there this whole time?" He has given us these sweet memories that will last a lifetime, and we are eternally grateful. Richard's the best -- as a human and as a photographer. We wish him only good things in this world. He was so personable and I saw how great her wedding photos turned out! Once I got engaged, I knew I had to have Nathan as my photographer and he was the first vendor we booked. He was so responsive throughout the entire process. With the stress of our wedding being delayed due to covid, he helped us stay positive and excited for the big day to come. John Yao is the man! I've been following his work for almost 10 years (ew, did I just say that out…read moreloud?) and I knew I wanted to use him for my wedding photos even before I started dating my (now) husband. In fact, he was the first vendor we reached out right after we got engaged until we realized soon enough we should probably book the venue and date first ... We booked him for our engagement and wedding shoot and had a great experience! First of all, it's unhuman how he responds to emails within 5 minutes regardless of whether you email him at 2pm or 2am. It's true what everyone else says about him making you feel really comfortable at shoots. John's extremely professional which makes it extra funny when he'll drop in something super random like "give me a sexy pose" during a shoot. On our wedding day, he showed up early and led us and our bridal party through all photos - we didn't have to think about anything, just went with his flow. There was one hitch with the location I chose for our bridal party photos but John managed to find another great spot quickly on campus before we even had a chance to leave the first one. I also want to mention John had his first baby the week prior to our wedding. I figured he must at least be exhausted but he was on top of it throughout our whole wedding day (and not to mention even before, he was responding to our emails as he was getting ready to go to the hospital for the delivery of his first born??) Anyway, my point is John is committed and you can count on him! We were afraid that the lowly lit romantic setting of the venue would create a problem, but the photos turned out beautifully, and they captured multiple angles of every detail and event. We also opted for their photobooth option... and let me tell you - WHAT A HIT!! The sparkly pink backdrop was gorgeous, the props were fun and the do it yourself interface of the screen was easy to use (you can even redo shots!). My guests used the photobooth nonstop. We also arranged to have 20+ family portraits taken. These photos turned out perfect and are so special my family is printing them for all of our family members to have and cherish. On the day before our reception, my hair stylist called in sick on me, and was unable to procure a replacement in a timely manner. I panicked and reached out to everyone I knew, including Brandon. Within one or two hours Brandon had secured a well known professional hair stylist for me!! Talk about last minute, above and beyond service! Finally, and perhaps most important, Brandon and his team were professional, punctual, flexible, respectful and have great vision. With all that you get, their price is a steal.
