We ate here for the first time and I'm giving this place five stars for food, price, customer service, and restaurant decor. I really can't think of another Mexican restaurant that has excellent tasting food other than Juanchos. After eating here today, this is my favorite Mexican restaurant. They have a wide selection of food in their menu and for their buffet. There wasn't anything I ate that I didn't like. The prices were reasonable as well. We spent $25, buffet and breakfast plate. By far best Mexican restaurant in the area. Love the juanchos carne Asada burrito . Their guacamole was super fresh and their chips tasted amazing with their special salsa. I've been a fan of juanchos for a long time, glad they have a location closer to where I live. I went with a few friends and enjoyed their bar scene while watching the game. Lunch at Juanchos was mediocre. There was a good atmosphere. The restaurant was clean and well decorated, but the service was meh. The waitress hid out in the kitchen and was molasses slow on the refills. She didn't give me the correct drink and was defensive when I asked her about it. They weren't too attentive even though the restaurant was empty. The food was ok, similar to Don Jose or Acapulco. They have their deluxe Super Juanchos burrito where you can choose two meats. I think they changed owners because on DoorDash it changed to "casa juanchos." Last few times I've ordered they forgot something and the food has been subpar. They also got rid of their deep fried ice cream. It's such a shame because there are so few good Mexican restaurants around and I'll have to find another. read more

Left this place minutes ago and had to do it justice. For a first timer, I was impressed. I had a carnitas burrito which was superb! Well marinated, hot and full of flavor. I also had a michelada to go alongside my lunch, this was also delicious! I highly recommend Juanchos to any in the area, I'm defiantly looking forward to my future trips. The first time I came here I loved it I was so excited to return but sadly I hated it I had the worst customer service ever I think her Name was carmen rude attitude I was waiting for her to ask if I wanted a refill and nothing g she wasent anywhere near my table. Then when I asked another waitress they went to get her and said okay I can give u a refill but it will he an extra charge , looking at me like I did it have miney to pay for it ! My mouth was watering every time I drove by just thinking how good the food was going to be. Cute location, nice looking build-out and a lot of anticipation from the neighbors. Uhhhh, the only thing that was watering was our eyes as we cried from our let down. How can you serve a dry chicken taco with barely any seasoning and beans that taste out of a can? ...it's your first week, it supposed to be your very best. I started going here approximately 6 years ago. In the beginning I was pleasantly surprised as the food was great. In my opinion finding great tasting Mexican food in the Claremont/upland area is very hard to find. After the pandemic I found that the quality of the food greatly declined. I gave it try after try and left disappointed each time. I vowed to never go again. My boyfriend wanted to get a quick bite today and I was not thrilled. We ordered crunchy tacos with ground beef. Well they were made with pre-made shells and tasteless ground beef. I did not expect a taco bell style taco. The beans seemed to have changed as well. They were refried, and red in color. I believe they must have had chorizo in them but this was not stated in their menu. The food arrived to us cold as well. The service was less than stellar. We waited several minutes until we were attended to, and once we were seated we had to get our own menus as it took extremely long to get service. Overall, we were extremely disappointed! Hand made tortillas and a huge salsa bar to top tacos off with. Complimentary hot chips. Genno was our server, very charming and very attentive drinks stayed full. The shrimp fajitas (mine) were a very good portion size, but the few tortillas that came with it were not enough for the meal. This wouldn't be an issue past that they charge for extra tortillas-- and you're started with 3 small corn tortillas for the entire dish that are nowhere near sufficient. (This might have changed, but that was my experience, and as my parents were paying, I really didn't want to add anything extra-- they were already giving me food!) Considering the pricing on these dishes, you wouldn't expect they would try to nickel you, but you learn something new everyday. NOTE FOR CONTEXT: Combo Fajitas: $14.99 / Shrimp Fajitas: $15.99 / "Extra" 3 Tortillas: $1.50 Their combo fajitas were all right-- Dad's not a super picky eater, so he finished his. Mom left some off which isn't the usual for Mexican dishes. I was able to go through about half of my shrimp fajitas before just boxing the rest. While the shrimp were decent in size, the number was fewer that I would have liked for the $15.99 cost. The rice/beans portion was very small. While this location is far from the worst Mexican cuisine that you'll encounter in the Claremont/Upland area, it's also far from the best. Salsa had no flavor whatsoever , and the asada meat inside was dried as if they had it sitting there all day. im kinda disappointed because it looks better than what it taste. That's SAD! This is one of my most favorite places to eat. I have brought my brother, father-in-law, and several buddies here and they all loved it. They all agree that the food here is delicious and always the right temperature, which is important to us. We never have to wait long for our entrees to arrive. Service is exceptional, well beyond my expectations. One of the managers, Geeno, is always there to greet everyone with a friendly smile and ready to help in any way that he can. He is upbeat all the time and he works hard at making sure everyone is happy while dining there. I can't say enough how great this restaurant is, all thanks to Geeno who is truly awesome. His wait staff is terrific and I feel that Geeno is the reason for that.
