Very modern classy place to visit with an impressive selection of delicious desserts as well as a mimosa bar, coffee bar, and cocktail bar all in one place. Cute modern decor as well.

Felt so welcome. Appetizing baking/cooking fragrances wafting from the kitchen. Adorable establishment. Absolutely delicious meal and mimosa. Hoping to return soon. Thank you for the amazing service

    Prosecco and raspberry chocolate cake!

This place was so cute, and the staff were so incredibly friendly and helpful. They even loved my wine themed skirt when I walked in! The prosecco and Chocolate/rasberry cake slice we grabbed while here were absolutely delightful! If you're ever looking for a dessert place when in Oregon You definitely won't go wrong with checking this place out!

Oh man! This place is adorable and sooooo delicious! Please go here, especially if you have special dietary needs too. We were so impressed and help with everything. We got the mimosas flight, which was fun and plenty. The desserts all look unreal and too beautiful to eat (but you should for the sake of your tastebuds!). We'll be back again and again. Can't wait to be here in the fall, since the area is also so cute and dreamy.

    Peanut butter brownie and cappuccino

The brownie was really good, the peanut butter icing really complimented the brownie. The cappuccino was made properly and really tasty.

Jubilee is the most darling little dessert gem in a quaint little town. All of the desserts at Jubilee are delectable, particularly because they're baked fresh and taste homemade. The owner does a beautiful job of creating delicious and exciting options on a day-to-day basis (and she's also the sweetest woman alive). Trust me when I say that this spot is a must for my fellow dessert lovers!

We brought friends from out of state here for dessert. Jubilee did not disappoint! It's a beautiful gem in this delightful community!

OMGee. This place was perfect for my after run/walk at Oregon Wine Country half marathon. Service was top notch! I was sweaty and the wine tasting after the race was meh. Saw this place on my way to the start line and made a mental note to check it out after. Delish peach/orange vodka with champagne. Took home the pumpkin bar, lemon raspberry tiramisu and gooey butter cake...DELISH! Highly recommend. Cute decor and just the perfect place in this small town. Will definitely travel an hour to check this place out again. Thanks for making the end of my race even more amazing!

This place is as pleasing to the eye as to the mouth. Seriously, it's Martha-Stewart-worthy pretty, with white walls, tall ceilings, pastel treats -- clearly set up by someone who is equally passionate about design. The cupcakes and treats are oh so pretty, there's beer, wine and bubbly for the grown-ups in the party. I had macaroons -- they were packaged so prettily and they were yummy! Blood orange and ... I think the other was toasted marshmallow. Decor-wise, some might find it too perfect -- while others will find it exactly perfect enough. There's also an extra room in the back for overflow seating, bet you can have parties or game nights or bridal showers or whatevs back there! From the main seating area in front -- a lovely view of sleepy main street, America. Nice folks at the counter, including the owner (I think) and a very helpful teenage young woman. All in all, lovely.

Cute little champagne dessert and cupcake that serves some food. Pickle soup, pizza by the slice etc.. We had carrot cake which was okay. Friendly staff, clean and stylish space. It would be great for a party. They have a back room you can rent out.

For the small town of Independence this is probably a great addition. It was very charming and had a nice feel. But I got an arrangement of different desserts, all were on the dry side of things, which was disappointing. There are also 2 tables next to the front window but one was being used as an office space including a printer. Which I found an interesting design choice.

The interior is super cute: modern, clean lines with just a touch of vintage vibe and not at all stuffy. The wines are what you come here for, and in this area, Fancy Baby excels. I love their wine list: not overwhelming, but not too limiting, and the staff are super knowledgeable and can answer any questions you have. I wish the food menu were a little more diverse, and I do think the price of some dishes is a bit much, but that said, I did love the food I have eaten here. The Prosciutto San Danielle is a MUST if it's on the menu when you go. So salty, sweet, crunchy, and yummy all at once. Pairs so well with a rosé or any of their sparkling wines. The anchovies are a stunning presentation and also a delight to eat. It's a great spot to meet friends or to go out after work. I haven't been here for one of the DJ nights because I'm old and hate loud music while I'm trying to enjoy conversation over wine and nibbles (I'll go to concerts for that), but if that's your vibe, I've heard it's a lot of fun here!

We got back in to town right at the peak of the parade and lights celebration Saturday. To say it was chaotic would be an understatement. Since roads were closed, the road to my hotel was of course blocked off. So during the first go around we couldn't get to where we needed to be and went instead on a one mile circle which then led is to an area where the guy blocking the road was nice enough to let us through after we told him my hotel was where he was. What a blessing that was indeed because we found a parking spot right across from my hotel. My friend had an hour to kill before she could check in to her hotel since the road was still closed on that side. We lucked out finding two seats right at the bar as soon as you walk in. It was first come first serve and they were busy. Lots of people were trickling in from the festivities to have a drink or two. I got the cucumber cocktail. It was so good I made my friend have a sip. As what usually happens, we ended up making friends with the two ladies next to us who were parade participants representing mardi gras. The hour breezed by so quickly. It was such a fun time I completely forgot to take photos. Hotel guests get 15% off their tab.

Being able to get anchovies in vinegar, ham croquettes, and a Belgian beer takes me back to some of my favorite travel experiences, and the Pix Patisserie dessert options continue to provide a thrill. I have two quibbles that keep me from adding the fifth star - the Tortilla Espanola (closer to an egg and potato frittata than a Mexican tortilla) is served with a drizzle of red and a white sauces. A well made Tortilla (and this one is very nicely done) doesn't really need any embellishment. I'll try to remember to ask for the sauce on the side next time. The second issue I have is that the servers didn't appear to have received enough training to do justice to the things on the menu. Bar Vivant has a lot of wonderful offerings, enough of them that they really deserve better descriptions and recommendations. Between the drinks, the savory and the sweet options, this is a very special place.

To speak about Teardrop Lounge, I should probably start with this:…read more Ladies and gentlemen, I present my favorite cocktail bar. Not the best -- I'm not arrogant enough to claim that. I haven't been to every cocktail bar in Portland, and saying something is the best usually says more about your lack of experience than your conviction. But favorite? That I can stand behind. And I want to get that out of the way early, because of the amount of praise I'm about to pour on this place -- fully earned, completely intentional. The biggest crime here is that I only discovered it two weeks ago, after living in Portland for a year. It had been recommended to me countless times, and I ignored it. A mistake. A painful one. But now that I've found it, I don't plan on making that mistake again. I'm not typically an Old Fashioned drinker. In fact, I usually hate them. But somewhere between curiosity and too many episodes of Mad Men, I decided to try one anyway -- fully expecting to confirm my bias. Instead, it completely flipped me. Bright, almost citrus-forward in a way that felt unusual but entirely intentional. Balanced, smooth, just enough burn to remind you what you're drinking without overwhelming it. It was the first time I actually understood the appeal. I'm pretty sure I grew a few chest hairs that night. That alone would've been impressive. But it didn't stop there. The space is beautiful -- clean, intentional, but not cold. The staff are excellent: personable, engaged, and most importantly, authentic. Not scripted, not performative. The kind of people you actually want to talk to, and hopefully, eventually be on a first-name basis with. Now, all of that gets it close to a perfect score. But what pushes it over the edge -- what makes this place stick -- is the White Russian. One of the first drinks I ever had. My dad's drink. Not because of The Big Lebowski -- that came later -- but because it's just always been his thing. And at some point, it became mine too. Typically, when bars try to "elevate" a White Russian, they ruin it. They overthink it. Swap ingredients, tweak ratios, add unnecessary flair. And more often than not, it ends in disappointment. Teardrop does the opposite. They respect it -- but refine it. The coffee liqueur actually tastes like coffee. The heavy cream is properly integrated, not just dumped on top. The vodka -- whatever they're using -- is clean, present, and perfectly measured. There's a subtle complexity to it without losing what makes the drink what it is. It's the best White Russian I've ever had. No hesitation. I've gone back twice just to make sure it wasn't a fluke. It wasn't. If someone asked me what my death row drink would be -- this specific cocktail, from this specific bar, is in the conversation. Easily. Teardrop Lounge doesn't just make great cocktails. It reminds you why cocktails matter in the first place. And that's why it's my favorite.

We came to Teardrop Cocktail Lounge while visiting Portland and were genuinely impressed…read more The cocktails were excellent -- thoughtful, well-balanced, and clearly made by people who know what they're doing. One of the best parts was how approachable the bartenders were. We asked for custom drinks based on our preferences, and both came out perfectly tailored. Creative without being weird, and strong without being sloppy. What really stood out was the price point. For the quality of cocktails, the prices felt very reasonable compared to similar craft cocktail bars in other cities. The vibe was also great -- relaxed, cozy, and not pretentious. It felt like a place where you could come for a special drink experience without feeling like you had to "perform" or order off a rigid menu. We liked it so much we actually came back a second time during our trip. Highly recommend if you're into well-crafted cocktails, friendly bartenders, and a laid-back but elevated atmosphere.
