Chic interior, though the lighting makes it difficult to take good photos on food. The food clearly has extra effort put into it and tastes great, but expect prices to be on the higher side. The service is excellent, though note that gratuity is automatically added to the check. Ordered multiple Macaroons and Passion fruit cheesecake to go. Desserts were a top notch! Overall, it was a nice dining experience.

I went to Champagne Poetry this past weekend to celebrate my friends 40th birthday. Our waitress was kind, knowledgeable, and patient. The atmosphere was lively and fun. Our food was fresh, hot, and delicious. They had an array of pastries which I ordered to go and enjoyed later. We all had an amazing time

This is a really cute space, perfect for date night or hanging out with friends especially for gal/valentines! The space is very pink and floral. The servers were all super friendly and attentive. The food is mostly Asian. We liked the colada more than the Cupid drink, the Cupid was a little bland. The soufflé pancakes were super fun and were a crowd favorite. The fried rice, shrimp tempura, and bao buns were also tasty; my favorite being the shrimp tempura.

Instagramable decor. Overpriced brunch. Friendly service. Inconsistent timing. Reservation Recommended. Street parking accessible. Family friendly. The viral Instagram ad showing Egg & Bacon Cheesy Soufflé Pancakes ($27) made me choose champagnepoetry_PDX to celebrate my birthday with the family over brunch. The Egg & Bacon Cheesy Soufflé has delicious, crispy, thick bacon and the fondue contrasts well with the 3 rather large and bland soufflés, however I would have appreciated more than 1 egg as protein (me being me!) Consider drinks and an appetizer if you order the coveted Soufflé, minimum time promised is 45 minutes. We arrived 5 minutes after the restaurant opened (11:30 am) and the time went up to 1 hour wait. Ensure that the waiter has the right order too! The Japanese Sizzling Wagyu Cheeseburger ($31) is served in a very creative way: Cut in half over fondue. Sadly, it was hard to taste the wagyu meat in this combination. Think if you really want fries (an extra $5), they're are OK. There are about 25 tables, and brunch is so popular, that the staff rarely stopped by to refresh our drinks. However, if you're lucky, you might catch chef Dan Bian helping around, and even see her magically slip into a striking body-con and sit down with guests to enjoy a drink. Double check your bill before you tap your card.

Perfect place to get food or just desserts! The service is so nice and the desserts visually speaking and very tasty too! I would also recommend going to breakfast here, we had an avocado toast and the japanese pancakes and very good!

A friend and I walked in without a reservation and we were able to sit at the bar. The staff were so friendly and helpful with their recommendations! Ending up ordering the Wagyu burger with fries to split and it was actually the best burger I have ever tasted I also had an iced matcha latte to drink which was good. I love that they had dairy free options for the drink and the cup they used was so cute I will definitely be back here sometime soon!

This place is so cute. It was the 2nd time I came here and just be warned that the place is spendy but my daughter was obsessed so I took. The presentation of the bakery inside and their case of delicacies are exquisite. It's the type of place I would maybe come to with a friend that comes into town or my lil spoiled daughter on a special occassion.

You must come here for the souffle pancakes during brunch. I came here right at opening around 11:30 am the following day after stopping by their Hawthorne locations in hope of trying their souffle pancakes, but they have moved their souffle operation to only at the 23rd location. When I ordered, I was told it would be about 20 minutes, so I ended up ordering a Ube latte and their won ton while I waited for my ever elusive souffle pancakes. The won ton was good. The broth was nice and clear and the dumplings skins were silky smooth. The innered were well seasoned. The Ube Latte came out in a 12 oz mug, but I want told that a shot of espresso cost extra which I didn't order, but was included on my final check. I think I will not be ordering drinks here again, due to the hidden cost. The souffle pancakes were so soft and fluffy and well presented. I had high expectations and it met my expectation on this plate. I would definitely come back for the souffle pancakes and pastries, but not for their overpriced cocktails and drinks.

Very girly establishment lol. It's expensive but it's worth eating cake that looks like velvet. I wouldn't come again but it's definitely a novelty place that everyone should visit once.

Everything was excellently executed at the Brunch location of Champagne Poetry. Another delightful addition to their legacy. It's hard to get in day of, even for one, so definitely gotta reserve a day or two in advance. The Ube Waffle was perfect, lightly sweet, great taste of real ube and with the generous helping of Chantilly Crème and fruit *and* syrup, it was a sweet brunch dream! The matcha latte tasted very good, a little frothy but still a good consistency, only thing was the bits of matcha powder at the bottom. But after speaking with the barista and for being only their second day it was still very tasty and they took the feedback with grace. Honestly love the added gratuity, no extra thinking and every one of the staff was excellent at serving and conversation even! Loved it so much and I'm definitely coming back for more!

Everything was incredible. The food, the people, the aesthetic.

The interior is super cute: modern, clean lines with just a touch of vintage vibe and not at all stuffy. The wines are what you come here for, and in this area, Fancy Baby excels. I love their wine list: not overwhelming, but not too limiting, and the staff are super knowledgeable and can answer any questions you have. I wish the food menu were a little more diverse, and I do think the price of some dishes is a bit much, but that said, I did love the food I have eaten here. The Prosciutto San Danielle is a MUST if it's on the menu when you go. So salty, sweet, crunchy, and yummy all at once. Pairs so well with a rosé or any of their sparkling wines. The anchovies are a stunning presentation and also a delight to eat. It's a great spot to meet friends or to go out after work. We got back in to town right at the peak of the parade and lights celebration Saturday. To say it was chaotic would be an understatement. Since roads were closed, the road to my hotel was of course blocked off. So during the first go around we couldn't get to where we needed to be and went instead on a one mile circle which then led is to an area where the guy blocking the road was nice enough to let us through after we told him my hotel was where he was. What a blessing that was indeed because we found a parking spot right across from my hotel. My friend had an hour to kill before she could check in to her hotel since the road was still closed on that side. We lucked out finding two seats right at the bar as soon as you walk in. It was first come first serve and they were busy. Lots of people were trickling in from the festivities to have a drink or two. I got the cucumber cocktail. It was so good I made my friend have a sip. As what usually happens, we ended up making friends with the two ladies next to us who were parade participants representing mardi gras. The hour breezed by so quickly. It was such a fun time I completely forgot to take photos. Hotel guests get 15% off their tab.

To speak about Teardrop Lounge, I should probably start with this:…read more Ladies and gentlemen, I present my favorite cocktail bar. Not the best -- I'm not arrogant enough to claim that. I haven't been to every cocktail bar in Portland, and saying something is the best usually says more about your lack of experience than your conviction. But favorite? That I can stand behind. And I want to get that out of the way early, because of the amount of praise I'm about to pour on this place -- fully earned, completely intentional. The biggest crime here is that I only discovered it two weeks ago, after living in Portland for a year. It had been recommended to me countless times, and I ignored it. A mistake. A painful one. But now that I've found it, I don't plan on making that mistake again. I'm not typically an Old Fashioned drinker. In fact, I usually hate them. But somewhere between curiosity and too many episodes of Mad Men, I decided to try one anyway -- fully expecting to confirm my bias. Instead, it completely flipped me. Bright, almost citrus-forward in a way that felt unusual but entirely intentional. Balanced, smooth, just enough burn to remind you what you're drinking without overwhelming it. It was the first time I actually understood the appeal. I'm pretty sure I grew a few chest hairs that night. That alone would've been impressive. But it didn't stop there. The space is beautiful -- clean, intentional, but not cold. The staff are excellent: personable, engaged, and most importantly, authentic. Not scripted, not performative. The kind of people you actually want to talk to, and hopefully, eventually be on a first-name basis with. Now, all of that gets it close to a perfect score. But what pushes it over the edge -- what makes this place stick -- is the White Russian. One of the first drinks I ever had. My dad's drink. Not because of The Big Lebowski -- that came later -- but because it's just always been his thing. And at some point, it became mine too. Typically, when bars try to "elevate" a White Russian, they ruin it. They overthink it. Swap ingredients, tweak ratios, add unnecessary flair. And more often than not, it ends in disappointment. Teardrop does the opposite. They respect it -- but refine it. The coffee liqueur actually tastes like coffee. The heavy cream is properly integrated, not just dumped on top. The vodka -- whatever they're using -- is clean, present, and perfectly measured. There's a subtle complexity to it without losing what makes the drink what it is. It's the best White Russian I've ever had. No hesitation. I've gone back twice just to make sure it wasn't a fluke. It wasn't. If someone asked me what my death row drink would be -- this specific cocktail, from this specific bar, is in the conversation. Easily. Teardrop Lounge doesn't just make great cocktails. It reminds you why cocktails matter in the first place. And that's why it's my favorite.

The moment we walked in we were not greeted warmly even though we were on cloud nine from just finishing our wedding ceremony. Micheal said that we could order with him or the bar so we decided we wanted to do a group shot for the milestone. All the bars I have ever been to make you take them at the bar so we went up there as a group to get the shots. There was one other patron in the lobby other than my group and the bartender stood on top of the bar and said "you rented the room not the lobby so you need to go back to your room." I asked her if we could take the shots in there and she said "obviously". At this point there had been multiple micro aggressions to my group but we had paid for two hours so we decided to stay. We bought lots of food and drinks and were enjoying ourselves. We were having so much fun in the room that we decided to extend the time for two more hours. At one point my fiancé had went to the restroom and saw the staff in the lobby drinking. This just felt so unprofessional and explained how we were being treated. About 45 minutes before our reservation ended my friend had a bit too much to drink and we found her a ride home. She had thrown up OUTSIDE on the street when Micheal came in and cut the whole group off. He had said it in the most unprofessional way, "we are cutting the whole group off due to someone losing their lunch." It felt so disrespectful and the party was very uncomfortable. After this my husband went to pay our tab so we could leave and Michael told Him he could not pay and needed to get my consent. I felt this was very disrespectful considering he was legally my husband that night. He even said "are you Hailey Owen?" "Then you can't pay." Honestly I don't care who pays my bill but they had no issue with him adding to my tab but they cared about him paying it??? Made zero sense. They said they had to cut us off due to ordering at the bar and not knowing how much we had to drink. If an establishment over serves guesses that is their responsibility. Due to the comment of my husband seeing them drinking in the lobby it makes me wonder if they could not tell those were impaired due to their own impatient. We did end up getting refunded for 45 minutes that we did not use. This just really left a sour taste in my mouth. I have seen other comments claiming they bully people and I could not agree more. It really made us feel like it was not money well spent and even though we had bought out the suite for most of the night we were not treated respectfully. This was the worst experience and I wish we would have given our money and business to a better establishment. It takes a minute to say congratulations to the newly wed couple... they could not even do that. It really made me wonder if it had anything to do with the fact that we were a heterosexual couple and if they have issues with that. ------------------------------------------------ 7/28/26 Edit to add that the GM did contact us and refunded us the entire time of karaoke. He offered to compensate two hours at his other location and apologized profusely for the experience. We might be open to trying the other location in the future. I greatly appreciate the compensation and conversation.
