I got some rice and beans and the rice was moist and reminded me of the rice from the old El Charrito TV Dinners I ate long ago.......which is a compliment! The beans were fine. She told us she is there Monday through Saturday. Breakfast, lunch especially....I don't know how late though. We tried her Green Enchiladas for lunch one day and they were good. Friday is a day she told us where she cooks a lot more options. Each day she does have tacos. She speaks only Spanish but is very friendly. We will be back.

Our whole office has the breakfast burritos from time to time. We ate lunch from there last week....a Taco Plate. This included 3 double corn tortilla tacos. We chose one each of Chicken, Barbacoa and Bistek. It comes in a styrofoam to go box with rice and beans. All of it hit the spot....very good. No place to sit in there so it is only to go.

The last time I was in Harleton I don't remember much there at all. Well, this is a great place for the locals and seems more like something you would see currently in a college town or somewhere not way off the beaten path like here......(Our favorite item was the picture of Nolan Ryan popping robin ventura) The food was great from first to last. We started off with some pinto beans from a pot just like Jucy's..... nice touch. Then we moved on to the House Salsa which was delicious. They serve it with tortilla chips cooked there and warm with chili powder on them and delicious like Papacitas. Next we got an appetizer of Fried Pickles. Best Ever!.....this from 2 guys who eat fried pickles everywhere. There are chips and not slices. Flash fried or something and very crisp so the texture helps make them. Delicious too with the Aioli dipping sauce. Our favorite ever and the reason we gave it 5 stars. Now, the tacos were good. "J" liked the "Sweetness" Taco with its fried shrimp and cole slaw, etc.....he really liked it. I got a "Employee of the Month" taco with fried shrimp and fried avocado and the rest and it was good too. We both got also the Bacon wrapped Shrimp tacos with grilled onions and these were good but not as much as the others. We took a friend who got the ETX taco that he liked more than the "Lynda Sue" taco with its fried catfish. Overall, awesome place. They have so many other things. The presidente margarita was just ok, but I am a bit picky about my margs and it tasted like it was made from a sub par mix. The tacos al carbon plate was good but a tiny bit surprising. The tacos had a vinegar base sauce that almost resembled a watery bbq sauce. Once I got past the shock of the first bite, I actually enjoyed the change of pace. The rice, beans, and guacamole were delicious. I will come back again to try out another dish. My server was very nice and attentive and the restaurant atmosphere was fun and up beat! Best Mexican comida I have had in Marshall so far!
