This place doesn't look like much from the outside. Walked in and was greeted right away and told to sit where we want. They sell all drinks by the can or bottle. The menu is small, but the portions are HUGE! I got the children's chicken enchiladas with rice and beans. They were delicious! My husband got the chicken Diablo and it was really good and fresh! You can tell everything is made to order and hot! Our server kept checking on us and the place started to get pretty busy! We will be back when passing through. Stopped in for Saturday breakfast and was pleased with the menu and it's options. Delicious homestyle cooking with Huevos Rancheros and Huevos con Chorizo and what had to be homemade corn tortillas. Their guacamole was my perfect type with not too many tomatoes and no overwhelming peppers. The restaurant is quite humble - nothing fancy - but clean and their bathrooms are great! I called in an order for the birria taco plate which I saw on an old menu on Yelp as the #20. I was passed among 3 people on the phone before an employee that spoke well enough English could confirm my order. Once arriving I saw a handwritten piece of paper on the door that read cash only l. I was baffled as no one mentioned this during my phone call order and I am a traveler that was passing through headed west. I went back outside and found two ladies that were kind enough to allow me to Venmo them money in exchange for cash, which I was able to use to purchase my meal although I kind of wish in hindsight no one had cash and I would've had to forfeit this meal because what I received was not any form of birria. I'm familiar with. There was meat in a to go box with a few peppers on the side and then rice and beans, a very small portion. Aside of that four tortillas were wrapped in aluminum foil. While the taste of the food was OK, I had my appetite set on birria tacos yet there was no consume to dip the tacos in and there was no cheese whatsoever and I had to make the tacos myself and try to eat while driving. In addition to this order not being what I expected, I did not appreciate not being told they were a cash only restaurant as well as having to eat a mediocre meal while driving on a long road trip. I have been to this restaurant a few times and every single time the food has been amazing. In this small restaurant the service is great and the vibe is very laid back. I have had the tacos and every type of taco I have tried here was wonderful. My favorite is the breakfast tacos. This place only accepts cash so be prepared for that, but the prices were good. But other Yelpers rave about the two salsas, so I had to give it a try. The red and green salsas are both spicy (the way salsas should be). The red has a slow burn that will sneak up on you minutes later. Salsas like these deserve better chips than the ones served here. The yellow corn chips were served at room temperature and tasted like they came from a bargain bag at Sam's Club. This was the biggest let down of my visit. I ordered beef and chicken soft tacos. The chicken was a bit dry and flavorless -- no grilled or smoky flavor. The beef was pretty good. This would be a three-star review, but it was saved by the salsa and friendly service. read more

If you like Mexican breakfast tacos or an egg plate with beans and rice, give this place a try. The homemade corn tortillas are pretty good. The eggs are good with choices of ham, bacon or chorizo. I had chorizo with added cheese. Mmm. Two were a perfect size. The breakfast plate with bacon and eggs came with large portions of refried beans and arroz. Both were spiced perfectly. It was very good but more than we wanted for breakfast. The chips were thick, crunchy and not over salted. The hot sauces come red and verde. The red has a significant burn on finish, but an oily sweetness on the front end. The flavor profile is unique and hard to describe. The verde sauce was rich with the tomatillo flavor and a lesser burn. I liked both and added them to my breakfast tacos. Be aware this is a cash only establishment. JG score of 6.5/10 (+3 for food, +0.5 for atmosphere, +1 for price, 0 for no Diet Dr Pepper, 0 for service and +2 for we look forward to returning each time) The food here is terrific. Anything that has beef is awesome. This is a favorite place for several Hispanic foodies we know. Literally, everything here is good. The place itself is a small room that seats quite a few with a TV always playing some Hispanic show. Nice red and white checkered tablecloths. Just has the whole authentic feel to the place but very basic too. Price here is very reasonable. No Diet Dr Pepper but they do have Diet Coke. I got the breakfast taco with chorizo, beans, and yellow cheese and well as Horchata! It was so good. They have great authentic food and a wonderful atmosphere. They do not take credit or debt cards so keep that in mind. And if you are a gringo you probably won't like their salsa as both the green and red are hot.
