JUDY is an absolute delight! She made me feel so welcome & helped me by informing me of the cause behind my toe pain. I thought it was in ingrown, turns out it was just a bunch of dead skin that needed to go! She is kind, informative, and excellent at what she does. Also when you pay they don't ask if you'd like to tip then run your card and when you ask how to tip they are very rude and say "why didn't you tell me first before I ran the card!" When it's your business and place of work you probably should have asked me first if I'd like to tip as I have never been to your business before. God I hope I don't get Covid from going into this business. This was my first pedicure in almost 2 years. I recently moved to South Pasadena so I looked into all of the close nail salons looking for a good place. This place came up in my search and had great reviews. When I contacted them for an appointment they we fully booked for the week, which I took as a good sign. Man was I wrong! I'm pretty sure I was lied to about the being fully booked part. Anyway came in here today for a 2:00pm appointment. I arrived around 2:15pm because I was a little late and this place has no designated parking. So it took me a little time to find street parking. Walked to the door and just stood there for a minute because the sign says wait in your car. I should have gone with my gut and just left. Just from the outside it looked like an old run down shop. Just as I was about to leave a lady, I think Judy , came out and opened the door. She didn't check my temperature even though there was a temporal thermometer sitting on the counter. She squirts some hand sanitizer into my hands and sticks me in the spa chair the furthest back from the door and closes the door. There were three ceiling fans but none of them were turned on. There was absolutely no air flow. The smell of years of polish remover hit me in the face and started to give me a headache. Everybody was wearing masks and spaced out but there was just no airflow. And the spa chair they put me in apparently could not go back. So there I was stuck in this chair barely able to bend my legs. I kept asking the lady that was doing my pedicure to please put the chair further back, she just kept smiling at me like she didn't understand me. And then she was twisting my feet at angles that made my foot and leg cramp. All I wanted to do was get this over with and get hell out of this place. I figured if I was exposed it already happened so might as well just grin and bear it. Then to top it all off after I finally made it out I looked at my feet and none of my toe nails are straight and there's all kinds of leftover little pieces of dead skin that should have been clipped off. read more
