This place is going downhill. It's a huge disappointment since I've been a regular customer for years. The past few visits my nails peeled off the next day. I never experienced this before, so I brought it to Cathy's attention. She became very defensive and proceeded to raise her voice in a very unprofessional manner. This caught me off guard because prior to this Cathy was always very polite. She showed her lack of professionalism and disrespectful character. Needless to say she lost a dedicated customer and if she keeps using low quality products she is bound to lose many more. read more

I don't write reviews, but this experience really upset me. I've been coming here for a while because it's affordable, usually quick, clean, and they *normally* do a good job. This time, I came in without an appointment and was told there would be a 30-minute wait -- which I was fine with. But 45 minutes went by, and during that time, multiple people who also didn't have appointments were seated before me. That was frustrating. When I finally got a seat, the technician rushed through my appointment. My nails came out crooked, she was rough with my feet and even nicked me. Honestly, it looks like I did my nails myself. I was so hopeful to like this location since it's so close to my new neighborhood and with all the positive reviews but unfortunately my search for a nail salon continues or I may just drive further away to keep my old nail tech. I came in wanting a full set with a very simple double line french tip design. The gentleman that helped me started cutting my nails and then gluing on nails right away. Mind you, my cuticles were disgusting and I had dirt underneath some nails so I thought maybe that would be the next thing he would take care of. I let him do his thing and then I notice him add the clear acrylic to all nails! I point out that my cuticles are gross and there's still dirt underneath my nails! He said that to clean cuticles it's a $10 charge. I said that's fine- I'm not used to paying extra when I'm getting a full set but I'm willing to pay it now so they don't look disgusting with noticeable cuticles that can be trimmed off. I would've really appreciated him asking prior to starting because the bottom of the nails now all look like I've had them on for a few days rather than freshly done since he went in to take care of my cuticles after the nail and acrylic were o. After the nail and acrylic was on I also pointed that there was dirt still underneath my nails. He said "maybe you dyed your hair" - no I have not dyed my hair, it's simply dirt and he wasn't thorough enough to have my nails trimmed and clean prior to gluing anything on. The design I chose was simple but somehow he still struggled to have the lines symmetrical. Maybe he's not well experienced in designs? I don't know but I do know that $100 isn't cheap and when you charge that much, quality work is expected and communication should be essential. He of course did not ask how I liked my nails at the end and avoided talking much when I checked out. He knew how I felt about them and just wanted me out of there as soon as possible. read more

Kathy was AMAZING! I've moved around a lot and had many different nail techs over the years, my usual girl was busy, so I looked for another place in my neighborhood and found Elle Nails. I did a medium gel X set. Kathy took such great care of me and even though they were super busy did not make me feel rushed at all. She delivered exactly what I asked for and replicated my inspo pic to a T. She has a great eye for detail and even added a few steps to improve the design, like creating a "concealer" layer in the middle of each nail so you couldn't see the overlap of my natural nail underneath. She was very sweet and checked in every step of the way to make sure I was happy with her work. And it's worth mentioning whatever she did with my cuticles they have literally never looked better. Ever! I bartend and constantly have very dry cuticles and hangnails so that is saying a lot. Nails only started lifting after 3 weeks and I'm pretty rough with my hands so that is a great timeline for me. Thank you Kathy!! I will be coming here from now on! read more

I once supported this nail spa and will try to give the facts as objectively as possible. Staff is very nice. The issues that have led to my review: 1. I received a gel manicure and before I hit the one week mark I had three nails chipped. I went back and they fixed it free of charge which I would expect, but still quite unusual. I am a mother and chalked it up to I'm rough on my hands but still felt early for chips. 2. My husband booked a 4pm appointment for myself, my daughter for her first ever pedicure, and my mother on Mother's Day. He booked the appointment a week in advance. We show up at 4 and there are no seats open and told to wait 5 minutes. This became 30 minutes (imagine that on a 3 year old toddler), we were sat separately from each other, and our pedicures were rushed. We weren't asked if we wanted to pay for any upgraded pedicures because they closed at 5 and it was obvious they were rushing (sweeping and cleaning next to us). The reason we were split up was a mother and daughter that came in as walk-in (the daughter told me so). So all in all not a great experience on Mother's Day. 3. The last straw was before Mother's Day I had gotten hard gel nails since I figured the chipping was my issue. Two days ago, less than two weeks from the manicure, and entire nail just popped off like a press on. I went in today and they refused to fix it without charging me as it had been two weeks. Now look, I understand at two weeks a chip or crack may happen...but the entire thing shouldn't pop off. Hard gel should take effort to remove. I brought the whole nail as well to show I didn't pick at it or anything. Anyways, not high quality nails or service unfortunately. read more

I rarely get my nails done because every time I do, they never come out right. I'm so happy I found Elle Nail Spa! For the very first time I LOOOOVE my nails. Cathy does excellent work. She was fast and also meticulous. I also had a pedicure with regular polish and she swatched multiple shades on her own nails to color match the blue gel she used on my finger nails. I've never been happier with a nail spa and you can't beat the price for the quality of work. I have a nail spot now! I've been to this salon about five times now after finding them on Yelp - they're close to me in HP, and the first time I went, I absolutely loved my nails and the fun design they did. That's what kept me coming back. However, over time I noticed I was usually booked with the same nail tech. While I didn't mind that at first, I started to feel like she was always in a rush compared to my first visit. On my fourth visit, I got black nails, and they chipped the very next day. I decided to give them another chance this time, but unfortunately had a similar experience. My tech seemed rushed again, and my nails ended up uneven not filed well with messy paint work. I didn't have time to go back for a fix right away, which was frustrating. I know this salon is capable of doing great work - I've seen it firsthand but lately the quality has been slipping. I was recommended by one of my mom's colleagues, who's a regular here. At the time, I was preparing for an important celebration and gathering and wanted my nails to look long and beautiful. Due to some stress biting, I wasn't confident that my nails will turn out well. To my pleasant surprise, Kathy was able to work her magic and use Gel-X to extend my natural nail length and provide a good nail bed for the art on top. Kathy is meticulous and focused in her work and gave her 110% working on the nails. The experience took roughly 1.5 hours but I am so happy with the final result! I see them use a sanitized nail set every time I go, which makes me feel safe with how my hands/nails will be treated. The visit usually wraps up with a quick oil/lotion massage on the hands. An added benefit is that over time, I slowly grew out my natural nails and now I don't need to rely on Gel-X for the length. Thank you Kathy for your patience and dedication to perfection. I would visit more often if I only live closer but the times I've been, the service is wonderful and the price is a good value. Got a basic manicure and pedicure here yesterday for a total of $61 ($51 before 'design', including the standard predatory fee because I paid via card). The very basic base polish job on one finger for some bizarre reason is uneven compared to the rest (although the basic paint generally feels like a teenaged friend level of quality with its overall unsteady/uneven/all up in the cuticles vibe, I understand that I got the cheapest service so I suppose I should be happy with anything as far as they're concerned), and when I called this out I was brazenly lied to/attempted to be gaslit straight to my face, and told that the nail I was talking about looked exactly the same as the other ones - really weird to die on this hill instead of just redoing the one nail. I dropped the subject as I was then just very uncomfortable, because, why would you even say that? You could say that you don't care and you would charge for a re-do before you say to my face a lie that we're both looking at the truth of - kind of made me feel like they wanted to treat me like I was stupid, and that was that, and I would have to fight them on it if I wanted to, and I didn't come here for confrontations. I came here for a very basic manicure and pedicure service. *I did observe a woman next to me that had complaints about how rushed her paint job was on her feet and how uneven the top coat was for this reason, and she had to push back a lot before this was eventually resolved, and they had attempted to do the same kind of gaslighting thing to her but she didn't let them. I wasn't about to keep pushing back like she did, but I wanted to mention this observation. Also, I asked for a very simple design of one singular black dot on each finger for which I have never been charged so high as their $10 fee. So to be clear, that is one dollar per dot. The spacing and sizing of the dots are imprecise and inconsistent, and frankly, if you're going to charge what we both know is an exorbitant fee for a very simple thing it just better be precise. This just made me not leave a tip for the manicurist and overall tip lower than I'm used to, although I did and still do have a feeling that it was expected that I wasn't gonna tip in any case, and this might've been making up for that. I don't know but either way there's no perspective of this that I'm in support of as far as how they did business with me to that end. I am new to the neighborhood and hadn't done any shopping around before this, but because of my discontent with my experience I went and found a couple of other places not too far away after I left and asked about the total charge for the same service, including for the design which I was able to show them, and none said more than five dollars for the addition. Also, there are bigger, cleaner feeling, nicer AC system having places pretty close, so I just suggest you shop around. Leaving three stars because at least my pedicure was pretty well done, and I really appreciated that service. I also added a star because I didn't observe them rushing anyone. If anything they seem to leave exceptionally decent time for paint drying. I will say though that I did not observe them cleaning out the basins at any point - of course, they use and change the plastic bags, but some places I've seen do both during however long my services take. I always call ahead (even within 15 minutes) and I rarely have to wait. Their massage chairs always work and with all the various technicians who've worked on me, I've never had bad results. I almost always get a regular pedicure and either regular manicure or gel. The vibe is friendly, well-decorated, and clean.
