I cannot believe what happened to me here! I was in the neighborhood, I yelped and Sally's came up with 4 1/2 stars. Great I thought....ugh HELL NO!! DO JOT COME to this place!! Do yourself a favor! After I kept telling the man my finished acrylic nails looked horrible, he got confrontational, I asked to talk to the manager. He told me No! cut them all off and yelled at me to get out. WTF... Ever since Sally sold the place to the heavy set guy , this place has gone down hill in service. He's not good with nails and he's definitely doesn't care about customer service. He still wants to act as if Sally is the owner . But when you complain about his work ,he is quick to claim hes the owner and acts like a total jerk. And gives you attitude because he know nobody can say anything to him since he is the owner. Do not get your nails done by him , you will regret it. I love CATHY and Sally but this place with this new owner is not worth me coming here. He pushes and probably intimidates the girls so he can do nails , even if he sucks I mean really sucks at it! read more

Soooo, since my original review was about Cathy, I gotta say coincidentally my last time going was pretty awful. They hired a new younger girl, I got a pedicure and manicure. The newer girl did my manicure and she didn't cut most of my cuticles off. She starred the entire time as I got my pedicure which was really uncomfortable. Before I left I asked if sally was available for every brows and the new girl immediately said no and that she did eyebrows, no way in hell am I letting someone else touch my eyebrows. prior to that the new chubby dude always cuts me when he does my nail and they ALWAYS hurt later that day. Cathys customer service was the reason that it made this place great, but I think ill pass from now on. read more

I used to go to this place all the time but now that my eyebrow guru Cathy is gone, I can't anymore. Prices are great and it's clean but you never know if they're open as late as they say they are so call ahead! I let the new girl do them but she just cleaned it up, didn't add much shape at all. I got soo lucky and today I FOUND CATHY. She's at Lovely Nails right next to the highland park movie theatre. Bonus- they stay open till when they say they do! I know, everyone. I went here for my very first time about a week ago to get my nails done very simple coffin one color, & the man who was doing them was acting like if there was 20+ people behind me waiting for him to do theirs. Sally is so friendly and appreciates your busiest. They are fast and very affordable. A mani/pedi is $22. Plenty of free parking in the strip mall. It's hard to see from Figueroa. You will need to drive behind to enter the parking lot. read more

I usually do my own nails until I met Sally. She always shapes my nails so perfectly and her designs are amazing. I get my eyebrows threaded by Eva. This use to be Eva's Nail & Wax but now it's Sally Nails & Wax so the pricing went down. Still a very nice and well-kept place. It use to be $26 for manicure/pedicure and now it's $23! Came in for Brazilian waxing without an appointment and went out unsatisfied. The place didn't look very clean, but ok. The master (don't remember her name) was very nice and friendly, but I can't say that she was professional. She used soft wax and stripes (first time had this experience, so I didn't ask for a hard wax...actually I don't know if they have it in their salon), and because of it hair was not plucked, but broken, as a result it grew very fast again. She also missed several areas which I noticed only at home. read more

I used to get my browns waxed here when Eva owned it, I decided to give them a try and get my fill's done, wow the worse job ever I have been doing my nails for about 15 years and this has been by far the worse job i have ever received.. Cathy is life. She is the only reason I gave two stars instead of one. Her eyebrow game is up there with the best. I can't say the same for the rest of the staff. An older gentlemen applied a full set for me and when I tell you he slathered acrylic all over my fingers then proceeded to file my skin. When I asked questions he got annoyed and when he started filing my finger I full on told him to stop what he was doing because he apparently has no business doing acrylic nails he got upset and stormed off to yell in the back. The manager Jason came over and did his best to fix the mess and apologized multiple times. He said I didn't have to pay for the crappy job; gee thanks. Jason did what he could do but I still left out of there looking like someone had just slabbed acrylic on my fingers with no intention of shaping it at all. My pedicure was decent enough but my sister got a manicure that consisted of her fingers being mangled by cuticle clippers as well. Only come here for your eyebrows if you want to leave satisfied. Asking for anything else is definitely asking for trouble. read more
