I'm sorry to have to give such a low rating for them, but there was just too many things that were bad with my pedicure to ignore. This isn't normal spot I go to for pedicures, but the place I normally go to couldn't get my in last min so I tried here. First, I was told to sit in pedicure chair before there was water or even a plastic cover in the tub. How am I supposed to sit in the chair without putting my feet in the unsantized tub? Not the biggest deal, but that was my first clue on what was to come. Then while she was cutting my cuticles it was rather painful, and she seemed to cut really quickly without much care. I The worst part however was the callous removal. I have pretty bad callouses, and this is the main reason I get pedicures. Usually, whatever stuff they put on your callouses is covered with a plastic cover or something, but thing time it was only covered with a paper towel. Maybe it doesn't make much different but it feels cheap. That isn't even what bothered me though, again with the cuticle cutters, she started cutting at the bottom of my feet! Again, I know I have bad callouses but that tool is DEF NOT the tool you use on the bottom of someone's foot! She legitimately cut me! (see pic). Lastly, the other unforgivable offense is that my polish was terrible done! There were gaps on both toes where the polish didn't cover all the way up to the cuticle that I pointed out, and instead of redoing the toes, or at least adding a new coat with a new top coat, she just slabbed a little more on each toe , still leaving the gaps, but now on top of things the polish was no longer even. I mean... could she not see?? Probably the worst pedicure I've ever gotten, and next time I'll wait for my regular spot to have an opening. read more

I have been going here for over 10 years and they did everything from my wedding nails to my pedicures through several marathon run/training cycles, to all my pregnancy pedis. Lena (now retired) was amazing, Vivian, and Sally are fantastic. Vy gives amazing manicures. The spot is very clean and I've never had problems in all the years I've been going to Mademoiselle. Mamaaaaa if these reviews aren't swaying you, peace be with you. Because I ignored them and I paid ($70) for my crimes. Look at the pics in the 5* reviews. LOOK AT THEM. Would you give that polish job 5*? Believe no one (except me duh). The staff is so kind and lovely and the environment is wonderful and welcoming! Those things? 10/10. It's the services themselves that need some help. There were 2 of us, both gel pedis. The pedicure itself was great, but the polish on both our feet is so jacked up lol. I feel bad bc they were so sweet! But holy moly. My entire second toe is encapsulated by gel top coat. There's polish on the BOTTOM of my foot? Idk. Wild. But!!! If you ONLY need the pedicure and not the polish? Highly recommend! Their services are a la carte, so know that going in. Any exfoliation, massage, paraffin, or callous remover is an additional charge. I really hope they hone their artistry skills, because the experience itself is great! read more

This local neighbourhood nail spot is wonderful. The ladies are very good at what they do and very efficient. I'm so glad this is close to me and very reasonably priced. The mani pedis last really long, my pedis don't even chip ever. The only criticism I have is that they don't really schedule appointments, I've tried to a couple of times and they can't really set a time- but they're also not insanely busy all the time so overall it's a great relaxed neighbourhood spot. My last manicure lasted through washing dishes, soaking at the spa and beach time with kids building sand castles - PRETTY impressive. read more

Just got one of the worst manicures of my life at Mademoiselle. A gel manicure with, I'm not kidding, six layers, none of which are even or smooth. I started dropping with sweat because the manicurist put my hands under the UV light so many times. We could both tell it wasn't working (the light was flickering) but she kept talking over me when I tried to point it out. My nails came out looking terrible and when I showed her she just kept saying the price and then admitted the UV machine was broken to a fellow manicurist after she refused to give me a refund. Decided on a whim to do nails here last week. Both my little 8 year old diva and I were happy with the work they did. She got a manicure with a cute little flower. I got a standard toe job. They have a good selection of colors. Good chairs that give you a pretty good massage (some places have crappy chairs). There is not a lot of chatter going on in the shop and they take walks ins. With a heavy heart I write a 2 story review. If you are a detail oriented person I would not recommend this salon. I'm new to the neighborhood and have been looking for my new go to every 2 week spot. Came in Sunday afternoon with an appointment for a mani/pedi. The young lady who did my toes was polite and did her best however the nail polish was old and didn't come out smooth. The real issue was with the manager (maybe the owner?) the techs switch mid manicure so he could patch my hangnail, which he wanted to give me a full acrylic set for but I politely declined. However after patching he started to do my manicure without shaping, filing or doing my cuticles. My original gel manicure had already been very roughly removed using an emery board directly on my nail to the point of tenderness so you could imagine they were not looking great. After being asked- The man started to shape my long natural almond shape nails with sharp edges, I asked if he could make the nail look more like the original and after he showed me an extremely crooked nail shape I assumed this wasn't going to be a great night for me. The salon had gotten very busy and they already had three walkins waiting with three more waiting who had appointments to the three nail techs trying to keep up. - My friend who had came with had already completed her gel mani and pedi so I asked the tech if I could come back later. He charged me for a gel removal, patched nail and full mani pedi. I let him know I was really unpleased and that I understood they were really busy so perhaps they were rushing.. he became very defensive, told me I was wrong, and stood by the total price. I left the salon paying full price for a pedicure, and a brittle mess on my fingers which is a major bummer. It always disappoints me when you give someone the opportunity to make your concerns feed addressed and they don't even try. Oh well- will not be coming back, and couldn't recommend. Guess I'll still be on the hunt for my new nail spot. Now I'm off to write some positive reviews since this was such a bummer :( read more

I've been a customer of Mademoiselle for over a decade and there just is not anyone better for pedicures (especially if you have ingrown nails that you need to keep healthy and at bay) and waxing! They are probably amazing at everything else as well but those are the only two services I get. I've had pedicures all over the country and I regret it any time I go anywhere but Mademoiselle. The talented pedicurists there are careful, kind and have been working there forever. It is always the same wonderful faces. And all of them are really good. I have terrible ingrown nails and leave bleeding whenever I go anywhere else. But that is never an issue at Mademoiselle. Lovely nail salon with very sanitary practices! I made an appointment a day ahead. They were ready for me when I arrived. Two experienced technicians began working on my manicure and pedicure. I paid extra for shoulder, neck and leg massages. It was worth every penny! I have a painful corn and callus that the technician worked to reduce. I really appreciated that! I was very pleased with my entire visit. By the way, the owner told me that Mondays are the best day to come in. I was there on a Monday afternoon. Also unfortunately for them, there have been just too many misses, and not enough hits. Luckily my pedicure was good but I'm very frustrated that the manicure looks this bad. Update: I decided to return and have the gel removed. They did so graciously, and additionally gave me a gift certificate for another gel manicure. This is my new go-to spot for nails. After dropping my last place, I have been in desperate search of a reliable nail salon in this area and have been let down many times. I literally came here as a last resort and am so glad I did. I got a spa mani/pedi and the ladies here did an excellent job. The salon has nothing but Essie nail polish which is great. The salon is new and modern and in a very convenient location. My nails looked absolutely great when they finished; I especially like the high-gloss top coats they use. The only thing holding me back from giving 5 stars is that they were a little pushy with trying to upsell me things (waxing, extra massage time) but I'm hoping that as I become a regular here, that will dissipate. The ladies who worked on me were very friendly and took an interest in me which means a lot. The prices are reasonable too.
