We are fans and frequent customers of juggheads! They serve an array of NC beer with an excellent selection of all brew styles and flavor profiles. A beer for everyone. We also love supporting NC brews. Friendly staff and great ambiance. We especially love that it is dog friendly inside and out. Lots of cozy seats and high tops inside, and a great outdoor patio. They also usually have a food truck if you are looking a bite.

Been going here for years and it's been awesome to see how the outdoor seating has evolved and grown especially in the time of covid. I love that they serve only NC brews and their cab selection is awesome. I'll stop in sometimes just for to-go cans. I get to try stuff I'd never find in the grocery store.

Welcome to Jugg Heads! Plenty of outdoor seating and pet friendly!!

Overall we were very happy with our first visit to JH! We were a little scared as it is an obviously converted gas station but it really is charming! Plenty of out door seating plus they are puppy friendly! The inside is very reminiscence of Old Winston Social Club- board games and cards galore to play with friends old and new. Lots of table seating and comfy couches. Plenty of bar seats too! They really do have an amazing concept "if it's not from NC we don't sell it". So that's 32 NC craft drafts plus bottles! Their updated beer list is on their website. Generous flights are a steal at $5 so you are sure to find a new favorite or two!!! Cool and local! You can bring your own growler to fill or purchase there. They also sell can Kooozies, shirts, cups and the like so you you can rep Jugg Heads wherever you go! No food but they do sell some NC snacks like Chads Popcorn. They also have food trucks several times a week so check out their Facebook page for what's coming. We really had a fun afternoon and had some fun new beers- I recommend for the NC craft beer lover and if you don't like beer they also have wine but I just bet you will find something you like! We will be back for sure!!!

Best place to drink NC microbrews in the state. If you are driving through Winston you owe it to yourself to stop here.

We stopped in after a hockey game on a Saturday night to check this place out as it was on our…read moreroute home. We have always wanted to try this place out seeing it many times off of the roadway and it looked interesting because it was a converted gas station. As we parked and approached campus gas we noted that there was plenty of outdoor seating, primarily wooden benches, tables and places to lounge around outside near the fire pit. There were people enjoying a drink and playing a lively game of cornhole. We strolled around then went inside to explore what the business had to offer in the way of drinks and maybe get something to eat. As it turned out, it was around 9 o'clock, and the lady that came out from the kitchen told me that the kitchen was closed for the evening so we weren't able to get any food at that time so we walked around inside and looked at the small things for sale and the decorations saw the nice high top bar and chairs and since things were winding down, we decided to leave instead of having something to drink. We didn't see a bartender or someone to serve us a drink anyway. So as it stands, we'll have to come back by some other time and check it out. I hear the food is interesting, casual and good and there are a lot of beer selections. I look forward to coming back another time and trying the food and drink.

It's an old-style gas station you'd expect to find on Route 66 that has been converted into what I'll call a local pub. It's got some simple comfort foods to go along with a wide variety of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Barstool table seating inside with picnic tables outside. They've got a cornhole set outside to complete the backyard picnic feel, and I've even seen customers seated with their dogs. Very cool. My wife and I were cheerfully greeted when we walked in. We shared an order of chicken tenders and tater tots. My wife got a bottled water, and I picked a NA beer from their selection. Finally, someplace that carries an assortment of NA beers! The food took a while to come out, but this isn't a fast-food joint and it was nice to slow down and have a conversation. The chicken tenders and tater outs were hot and tasted great. Definitely a generous portion of both and I'm glad we got just one order. In summary, the place is nothing fancy. It's just a great place to hang out with friends and enjoy some comfort foods and frosty beverages. It's definitely on our "will return" list.

Our server was warm, attentive, and seemed to anticipate what we needed before we asked. The space has that familiar barbecue joint look. Nothing fancy, just comfortable and family friendly. Noise level sat right in the middle, lively but not overwhelming, and no one rushed us even as we lingered, laughed, and took more photos than necessary. I ordered the Pitmaster Plate with North Carolina chopped barbecue. You can choose sliced, chunky, or chopped. The pork was tender, flavorful, and exactly the slightly vinegary flavor I love. I added collard greens, coleslaw, and sweet potato casserole. The greens had a slight kick but were balanced. The coleslaw was fresh and necessary alongside the barbecue. The sweet potato casserole was easily the standout side. The only drawback is portioning on the sides. They are a bit small, especially if you are planning leftovers. I went in hoping to stretch this into multiple meals and almost made it. Still worth it, just manage expectations. Also worth noting, bread does not come with the plate, so I added rolls. My total came to about $31 with the automatic gratuity for larger groups, and I added a little extra. For the quality, service, and portion of barbecue, that feels more than fair. Everything was consistently good, and the experience made it even better. Great spot for groups, easygoing, and welcoming. I will be back. Back to the kitchen they went. My main dish was the brisket sandwich and honestly I don't know what kind of glued meat was on that bread but it wasn't smoked brisket. The Mac and cheese and cole slaw were great though. The service from our waitress was great, though the fellas at the hostess stand are a bit all over the place and don't exercise detailed thinking in seating. Piling people together while open seats for better experiences are available. I won't be back but if a retirement home had a field trip this could be a pit stop.
