Where else have you seen this? Because of the brewing process, there's no alcohol but you still get the floral taste of the hops and boy was it delicious. It reminded me of a rose latte. My friend got a hot Nana's mocha and it was a chocolate heaven! I loved it as well. I love the space; very cool vibes with lots of art, big space and they also serve burgers! I have to give that a try next time. They also serve alcohol (wine, beer) and saw some unusual brands that I've never seen before.

Unfortunately, they weren't serving off of the lunch menu (we were a little too early) so we had to order off of the breakfast menu. Food took long and the tots that my friend ordered took super long that we asked for a box to go. Food: Chili Crisp BFast Sando- (Biroche, Egg, Cheese, Bacon, Chiptole Aioli, Sesame Chili Crisp) Tots with House Seasoning - with Ranch Cup of Coffee Buko Pandan Latte Hot & Cold First the drinks were yummy. The hot Buko Pandan was stronger in flavor than the cold/iced drink. The tots were yummy and crisped perfectly but I'm not sure about the supposedly ranch dip. It was tangy for me. The Chilio Crisp Bfast Sando was delicious. It was so good that I want to return soon and have it again. The worker taking our order was very nice. He even mentioned about a restaurant in Vegas and asked if I've ever tried it-Public Us and yes I have. Overall, a great spot that can get very busy in the AM. The front window area has seats on one side and seats outside. It worked for us. Definitely will return.

Lets talk about the vibes first...amazing decor and vibes, decor and walls and atmosphere is very cool and unique I truly love it so much. The staff is very nice, offering suggestions on drinks with big smiles and welcoming energy. Now the drinks and food: the drink I got last time was an iced mocha (no picture but I remember it was very good). This time I went with my mom and we both got the "Moon" drink.. a Chai/Matcha which was such a good drink, I want like a 40oz of it to take with me home for the week. I also ordered the pesto turkey sandwhich to share and I can not express how good this was. Perfectly crispy, juicy and fresh. Took the first bite and literally gasped because not only was the bread toasted to perfection but the veggies and turkey were so flavorful. The veggies and pesto and turkey were also layered in a way that made every bite delectable and that to me is art. Loved it, want more of it and I WILL be back to try more drinks and sandwhiches.

Maybe I didn't order the right thing, or maybe it was just an off day, but I probably wouldn't order that drink again. The picture looks promising but just not it. I actually brought one home for my husband to try as well, and without me even saying anything, he wasn't a fan of it either. I also have to say that when I first walked into the location, I didn't really feel a warm or welcoming vibe. I was hoping to have a better first experience, but unfortunately, between the drink and the overall experience, I don't think I'll be back. Maybe I just need to try something different, but for now, this one just wasn't a hit for us.

This review is mainly about the service. (I also don't write reviews on places unless the service is actually just horrible) I went today, I started my order and the lady turned around after asking for the first two things without even letting me finish my order. I figured that when she came back with the first things I'd let her know that I wanted one more thing. She then came back with the first two things which were a sandwich and a smoothie. She asked "will that be all" and I said I would like another sandwich. I don't know what triggered her but I could tell she thought I was telling her that the sandwich was made wrong when that was not at all what I was telling her I was simply telling her I wanted another one (she btw kept repeating this for like 2 minutes before she realized that I was telling her I wanted one more sandwich). In the many years I've been coming here she has always had some sort of attitude, but this time she was actually so rude. Her tone and her expressions towards me were horrible. She needs to keep her attitude in check. So many people who have gone here that I know always speak of her horrible demeanor (so I know it isn't just me). Also after I said "ushh" (as a sigh of like wth just happened) she yelled out "USH QUÉ". The other lady is rlly nice. But this one *the tall one* RUDE.

Ordered tuna torta and green juice. Honestly impressed by the size of this sandwich. Included lettuce, tomato, avocado, cheese, and mayo on the torta, plus the bread was nice and lightly toasted. Served with a heavy serving of pickled jalapeños. Next time, I will ask for onion on the sandwich. Green juice was great! She made it right before my eyes, all the different fruits and veggies getting juiced right there to order. There were 2-3 bar stools right at the ledge of the walk up counter available to sit at but I just devoured this in my car in the parking lot. $17.75 later and happy tummy.

We found so much more than that. The burgers were outstanding, the drinks were ice cold (exactly what we needed on a hot day), and the service was exceptional. As we were leaving, the manager stopped to ask how everything was and when we'd be back. We told him we might return to SD the following Tuesday if we win the game the next day. That's when things got interesting. He smiled and said, "You're going to win tomorrow, and when you do, come back Tuesday and dinner is on me." Then he went one step further and predicted the final score: 6-4. My wife laughed and asked, "By the way... what's your name?" He replied, "Angel." Fast forward to game day. It was an absolute nail-biter. Late in the game, the score was tied in extra innings when our son stepped up to the plate and ripped a line drive to center field, driving in the two winning runs. Final score... 6-4. We couldn't believe it. Whether Angel has a crystal ball or was simply sending us off with some incredible encouragement, we'll never forget that experience. It's one of those stories our family will be telling for years. The Balboa South earned our business because of the delicious food and outstanding customer service. The unforgettable prediction was just the icing on the cake. If you're looking for amazing burgers, genuine hospitality, and maybe a little good luck before your next big event, this is the place to go. Thank you, Angel, for making our family's baseball tournament one we'll never forget.

I've been twice to the new location including its soft opening weekend. I would skip the somewhat overpriced spam musubi. It tasted good but it wasn't life-changing, which I sort of expected for the price. The couple times I went, I found the tables to be sticky so I'd watch out for that as well if you're dining in. The fruit sandos are good if that's your thing. I always find them to be too rich with all the cream and this place was no exception. I've tried all the savory sandos on the menu though, and they're solid. You really can't go wrong. The bobas are pretty good but don't compete with the elite boba shops like 3cat or momofuku. The corn hojicha is what I liked the most out of everything I've tried. Finally, service is average to above average. The person behind the register is usually a disinterested teenagers or 20-something employee but an older guy in the back, presumably a manager, tries hard to accommodate customer requests. So hats off to him.

I've been to Japanese restaurants with little to no patrons and the staff still greeted me. Asked the girl who was under 25 years old, who was busily working on something and she basically ignored me until I was ready to engage. First time in, I don't know anything and need help. Is there hat I can wear?? Newbie!! The hostess table has freshly made masubi, some are named and others are not. I was woeful by the pictures seen online and picked one called Poke and the other not marked which looked like spam on top of rice with a sweet chili sauce on top. Both of these were wrapped for "grab and go". I took a bite of the poke masubi with raw fish inside... insane to have raw in warm rice and it was OK. I was disappointed in my overall experience. And I will not be going back ever.
