I love Juice Adventure! I'm not a huge smoothie fanatic but the "Blueberry Splash" is amazzzzing. You need it in your life. It's refreshing, not overly sweet, and perfect the next morning after a night of drinking (lol, trust me). The blueberry, coconut, and banana flavors all come together so well in this drink. The turkey sandwich is also very fresh and healthy. It comes with shredded carrots and black olives inside! The sandwiches are served on squaw bread which is pleasantly different. Unfortunately, coming here more often has shown me that if you order the extra avocado during lunch. You get your money's worth of that dollar. Which has been pretty fair. Now if you order a sandwich during the evening, you get way less than what they give you during lunch hours. Which, is not worth the $1 extra. I asked for extra granola (.50cent charge) and they suggested hey put it in a side container since it may not fit in the bowl. They gave a hefty amount and the granola is soo good. I usually ask for extra granola on all of the acai bowls I purchase anywhere, but with Juice Adventure, I probably didn't have to. They had already put a lot of granola in my bowl. Noted! I just love this place!! It's so good, my mouth is beginning to water as I remember the smoothies I've had there. Ok first off, the owner, Larry and his wife, are the single most awesome and down to earth people ever! I had my first açaí bowl here. It was excellent. The honey and chocolate chips added just the right amount of sweetness with the light sour taste of the açaí and berries. Juice Adventure makes my favorite Acai Bowl in San Diego. As you can see by the Yelp photos, the presentation alone is impressive. But what I love most about it is the texture of the actual Acai, which is similar to creamy gelato but not as heavy. I'm not a fan of soupy Acai bowls that other places make but the Acai that Juice Adventure uses is just right for me. Combine that with the flavors of fresh fruit (strawberries, blueberries & bananas), your choice of granola (honey almond or chocolate chip), and coconut shavings, I'd say that's a perfect Acai bowl right there. I've tried a few of their smoothies and sandwiches (which are pretty good too) but I can't resist ordering the Acai bowl. In my opinion, it's totally worth $7.25 not only because of the taste but because every time I order one I see how each server takes his time creating this Acai masterpiece. It's a perfect post-workout meal or a great healthy snack to eat on warm days. P.S.
