I like Juice Press, I really do. Not only does the franchise have whimsical marketing strategies, such as flyers that say "smoking crack is the easiest weight loss program we know of", but they also offer some really healthy options. My favorite items would be Rosie's Romance, the Raw Oatmeal, and the Mochachino. The vegetable quinoa soup is great if you're feeling under the weather, when I was sick, it was literally EXACTLY what the doctor ordered. ALL of their fresh-pressed juices are good, I'm not going to bother listing them all, just make sure to check the expiration date, you're going to want them fresh. Most of the staff members at this location are very friendly, that's always a plus when it comes to any establishment. Everyone for the most part is very helpful when it comes to recommendations (THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SUGGESTING I ADD BANANA TO THE MOCHACHINO, changed my life). The only thing I will say, is that sometimes the smoothie vary based upon who is making them. Most of the people know exactly what to put in the smoothie but there are some people who clearly don't and with the relatively high prices, you really want to get what you pay for. I don't like arguing or debating but if you just started working there don't try to tell me there's not dates in a smoothie when it clearly states that there's dates in the smoothie and the other 50 times I ordered it, there were dates in it. read more

This JP location is awful...I have never encountered such rude and lazy counter staff. Today I finally called the customer service line because of my latest interaction and they informed me that actually, this location is a franchise and not directly owned/operated by Juice Press corporate. It all makes sense now...avoid this location at all costs! Examples: 1. Went in last week during AM rush hour and ordered a Harvey Wallbanger with the Works smoothie. This is coffee, bananas, coconut, etc. Stood in line behind 4 other people while one person made the smoothies, as slowly as she could go. Ten minutes later, I was given a regular HW which is just blended coffee, and didn't take a sip until I was on the subway. Tasted like dirt, and I had paid more for the additional ingredients. I chalked it up to bad luck. 2. Went in the other night at 8:50 (they are open until 9) and tried to order a smoothie...I was told that the smoothie bar is only open until 8 and that I could only buy something pre-made from the cooler. When I asked if I could have one from the cooler blended, they said no. What is the point of operating a store whose PRIMARY BUSINESS is smoothies and refuse to make them after a certain time? Note for the record: Juice Generation on 63rd & Lex is happy to make smoothies until they close at 9pm. I will be giving them all my business going forward. Last item to note, these smoothies are priced between $10-$15...everywhere else charges between $7-$9. read more

This juice press is inconsistent in the smoothies and juices from the refrigerator. I have been drinking the same 3 shakes from my west side location for 8 months. I come to this juice press and in 1 week have not had the same consistency in any of my juices or smoothies. The staff is robotic. An not educated in the product or juices. The juices are .89 cents more expensive than Any other Juice Press in the city. Why? .. Look closely at the labels and the print face. Because it's the only franchised Juice Press in NYC. This juice press is awesome! Well, I love ALL juice press stores but this one has a lot of food options that other stores don't have. This specific store has many salads and dishes that I haven't seen before as well as juices and smoothies that I think are unique to this location. They have free water but they usually only have one sample where the 21st and Greenwich location have a lot more. I am not sure if this is true, but I heard that if you run and post a picture of your shoe and show it to them you get a free juice which is such a nice way to get people to run more! It tastes like cocoa and coconut and cashews and it makes me feel amazing. It just undoes all of the damage of the weekend in one 24 ounce concoction. With a few locations around the city, lately I've been a regular at the East Village location on 10th between 1st and A. The Juice Press is blending up 100% organic fruits and veggies into delicious, cold press juices and smoothies. Great for a snack, meal substitute, or for you intense juicers interested in a cleanse, check them out. My favorite: The Pink Punk, made with pineapple, strawberry, beets and ginger. Stopped in here after attend a Soul Cycle class nearby at the recommendation of a colleague. I got the Hawaiian Healer smoothie with kale and Spinach added. It was a tasty treat and you could def taste the ginger. Order came quick, took me longer to decide which smoothie I wanted as there were so many options. I'm giving it 3 stars though not because the smoothie was bad, but honestly because at $12, there's no way most folks could have one of these daily. Major sanitation problems here. Person in front of me walked up to cashier and said her hands were dirty and needed something to help washing them. After their hands touched multiple times, cashier took my order, grabbed gloves with her definitely dirty hands thus dirtying the gloves, and used said gloves to grab handfuls of fruit to make my smoothie. When I asked her if someone with clean hands could make it, she handed it over halfway done (with the now dirty fruit) to someone else to continue making. I considered asking for a refund but line was too long to deal with. Disappointing hygiene procedures. Definitely against rules. Needs to change or people will get sick. read more

OMG they are SO overpriced....but I can't stop going there! Their juices are really really good! Most of their food is also very good. A lunch here can cost $25, and all you'd be getting is a juice in a plastic bottle, and a pre-made (though I'm sure it's made daily) sandwich. It's all vegan and all really very good, so I recommend just sucking it up and trying a few things at least once. I love Juice Press in general so each location is a pretty easy sell, but this one is more spacious than average and the staff is super-friendly. Right now my favorite thing to get is the green bowel-- low calorie but lots of volume and it's delicious. My favorite smoothie is vanilla protein or almond butter cup. They also have delicious soups and vegan meals such as sushi which are really fun to try. It is expensive but it's vegan and fresh, so worth it in my opinion! read more

Now - I placed an order for the first time on Seamless and after 4 hours, the juices have not arrived...I called a few times and after the third time, demanded for a full refund... They obliged and after 2 minutes the manager called me apologizing for the delivery issue and not only reimbursed the whole order (about $60 worth), he sent the order to me anyway with an additional 2 juices...They did right. reason i don't give them 5 stars is that they are pricey. The only item I've had from here is the Marinated Kale Salad which was good, the ingredients were fresh.. but that's how they should be when you're paying that much for a salad that's small. The taste was fine, although a tad on the salty side. I like that they offer a good variety of prepared raw foods. Everything else they offer seems way overpriced. I have recently embarked in a super hard workout program that comes with having to do a completely natural diet. My snacks during the day need to consist of veggies but absolutely no sugar. And I must count my calories. I thought, why not try this fun bright place? Well. First of all, all of the employees are like walking veggie zombies. Extra earthy granola-y. I walked up to the cashier: me: hey, do you guys have any freshly juiced juices? her: (after looking me over as though *I* was the all-natural zombie) it's all fresh. me: but i mean, like, where you grind it up just for me? her: they're all ground up for you. They're in the fridge behind you. In the bottles. Me: Right... I see those, but do you have any that I can get made right now? Her: they were all made this morning. me: ok... (she stares at the register) huh. ok. (turning to green-splattered-crunchy other employee zombie) hey - can you tell me which one of these bottles would be made of mostly all greens? i can't have any fruit in mine. him: (pulling out a green one) this one is mostly greens. me: oh, ok, so - no added sugar? him: just lemon. me: lemon? him: yeah. me: ok so, there's no sugar? him: there's no sugar. (casting same you-must-be-stupid face at me) i drink this one a lot. There's like, no sugar. or fruit, pretty much. Me: pretty much? ok. huh. So, there's no nutritional facts on here. I'd love to see how many calories this has in it. Or what is in here. WOW I didn't realize that paying $12 for juice also included a heavy, HEAVY attitude. I've gone here a few times in the last week or so since it's only around the corner from my office, and I think today is the last time I'm going to subject myself to the unfriendly, snobby vibe. Not worth it at all. I'm not entirely on board for the Juice cleanse movement but I really enjoy having one for lunch a few times a week. If ever I had a question, I tried asking the staff, which proved to be pointless. They would only speak over me, not letting me even finish my question. And it was always the same response, no matter what question I was asking... "We only blend and put out the freshest juice OURSELVES every single day"... "oh yea, but..." Yes we put new juice out EVERY day"...."great, thanks." That being said, the bottle i purchased this afternoon had a label on it to sell by 9/27. today is 9/24. My understanding is that, in order to reap all the benefits of fresh cold pressed juice, it must be consumed immediately if not at least same day... There are infinite other options everywhere in the city to get your ACTUAL fresh pressed juice fix, so do yourself a favor and DON'T waste your money. read more

This location has the largest selection and 'one of a kind' juices and salads that you won't find at the other locations. Worth the trip uptown just to browse for new items. The only reason why Juice Press at this location does not have 5 stars is because of the outrageous expense. However, that said, I must say, there is a bit of heaven in each bottle! It is really quite amazing; the variety of flavor and absolute deliciousness of each of these little healthy juices. My top picks are all protein drinks because I can't choose just one, pink punk and Vital Force. The solid food items have yet to disappoint as well. I love the miso salad and the ravioli especially. I try and stick to a mainly raw (50 - 80%), dairy free, anti-inflammatory diet because of past health concerns (fibroid tumor & seasonal depression) When purchasing ready-made foods and juices, I go to Juice Press, Organic Avenue, and Juice Generation, so I have a decent amount of experiences to compare the brands. Juice Press Pros vs Cons : PROS 1) Their juices taste AMAZING. They use the best ingredients and are very creative in their recipes. Even their plain carrot juice tastes way better than one I would make at home. 2) They have the best selection of products. 3) There are multiple locations throughout the city 4) The owner is incredibly passionate about what he does. I think some of this excitement comes through in their marketing which creates a positive culture with customers. 5) Their juices work!!! Everybody is different so what may work for one, may not work for another, BUT, I woke up one morning with a headache and itchy throat. I had 2 juices delivered to my office (Ginger Fireball & The Remedy). I seriously was struggling all morning, but after downing both juices, by end of day my symptoms were GONE. 6) Their desserts are phenomenal - I regularly buy the truffles & pumpkin "cheesecake" CONS 1) Price - many reviews on here comment about the price. I think ultimately, people are happy to pay a premium toward a product or service from a company that has a cause or a purpose that really resonates with one's personal beliefs. With that being said, people who are committed to a raw, vegan, organic lifestyle are probably the core customers who are willing to pay $10 for a juice. Now, if you are only dabbling in a healthy lifestyle, then sure, a pasteurized Naked Juice for $3.99 will probably suffice. I think it's mostly about how pure, healthy, and organic you are willing to go based on your own personal preferences. I find some products a tad more than what I would buy regularly (the $9 sin-o-bun for instance) but I was more than happy to pay $20 for juices the day it prevented me from developing a full blown cold/flu. read more

Was so excited to have randomly walked by the place. The menu is hella overwhelming but it looks like there is something for everyone. I didn't want to drink a salad so I went with a grapefruit/lemon/orange juice. It was good and fresh but I kinda kicked myself for spending $8 on it. The food as well is extremely inflated in price ($10 for a tuna sandwich, $12ish for small Kale salad). I love Juice Press, and treat myself to a smoothie usually once a week after a long workout. 92nd street is my go-to location but I stopped in this one today because it's on my way to work -- I don't know what it is, but this location literally smells TERRIBLE. My smoothie tasted fine (and just like the others I usually get), but I could barely stay in the store because the smell was making me gag. I've been to several of the other locations, and none of them have the blaring music or terrible smell that this one does.
