They opened the new location right next to soul cycle & my bf and I stopped in one morning on our way to leave town. Despite two employees and no customers, the men took an extremely long time to take & make our order. They even stopped their smoothie making to step aside to finish a story they were telling each other. Then, I was overcharged but was in such a rush I didn't notice it til thinking about it later. 23 dollars for two smoothies. What was I thinking by paying that???? Heeey juice press. I love this store and the location. It's my "go to" lunch spot when I can't think of anything healthy to eat or forgot to bring my own lunch. It is pretty expensive so I always choose wisely and visit sparingly. I love all the soups. The lentil mushroom is soooo tasty. I've been in New York for over a week and so I had to find a place to get my morning juice fix while I'm in town. Luckily I found Juice Press. I purchased the Dr. Green juice and I have become addicted to it. I order it every morning. The only thing holding me back from a 5 star review is the service. The employees weren't very attentive or personable, nor did they greet you when you walk in. All the juices and smoothies are delicious but if the customer service were better it would definitely make it a 5 star place. read more

I tried this place out the first time the other week. I'm not a big smoothie person, but I walk by Juice Press everyday on my way to work so decided to give it a try. I tried the Fountain of Youth smoothie and loved it! It tasted fresh and wasn't too heavy which I liked. They do make the smoothies made to order. I've haven't tried any of the juices or food however, so can't comment on those. One thing I don't like - the calorie count isn't listed for any of their smoothies, juices or food. read more

i can not tell a lie i ain't no vegan or into some health kick but i do enjoy a good smoothie and this place has plenty and it ain't cheap .it's a hot july evening and as i walk back home from seeing the purge 4 which was ok i found this place on 3rd ave off 64th st . it's fairly nice inside with padded bench seating a metal table stands to rest your smoothie , juice , kale chips (no thanks ), acai bowl, soup, etc . they really push the non processed food and drink angle here and it seems to work cause it's crowded with hipster vegans and some nerds along with a cool cat named sadri ben . as i am looking over the large easy to read menu i am totally focused on a all fruit smoothie and that's what i ordered and it's almost 9 bucks (damn). i nibbled on a few free samples (i think it was free ) and overall i must say it's better then good . my only peeve is that it's pricey cause a 10 dollar shake or 6 dollar cup of tea may have folks run for the exit . 4 stars on my yelp meter cause i got no brain freeze or tummy rumble . read more

The attitude I received and the huffing and puffing I got when I asked about the different cleanses really was unnecessary. I love the thoughtful, well informed menu and I love that this place is committed to organic, good quality ingredients. I don't love that the juices are not made to order - juices begin to lose their nutrients immediately after being made, so if you are truly looking for the health benefits of juice, you need to drink them right away. A few hours makes a vast difference in nutrient quality. That said, these juices are still much better than what you would get a nearby smoothie shop. I had a lot of trouble reaching this place for delivery. I called the shop directly and was disconnected three times and never reached an actual person. I then placed an order online. 30 minutes passed and I still hadn't heard back, so I called and actually reached a person, who told me that the online service wasn't working - yet somehow he had read my order and knew where I was calling from. I replaced the order and was told I had to pay with credit card, even though the website listed cash as an option (he said cash was not an option for this location, but the online delivery service did not reflect this). 1 1/2 hours after first trying to reach the place I did get my delivery. The kale curry salad was very good and fresh, with a generous amount of kale. I enjoyed the curry dressing - not too heavy or acidic, slightly sweet, a great complement to the kale. I also ordered 1 oz ginger juice and and grapefruit juice, both fine. It was $18 plus tip for the lunch, which is too much for me to spend on an all kale salad and a tiny juice plus 1 oz ginger, but I do appreciate the quality of the ingredients. (Also, everywhere delivers for free. Not sure why that is a selling point.) May stop by for pick up someday. It is hard to find ingredients of this quality and this variety. read more

My husband and I visited New York and a friend told us to hit up juice press because it's delicious. We were there for only a few days so it took us a while to actually go to one (we figured we'd get as much pizza as possible and we have plenty of juice places in L.A.). Much to our surprise this place is DELICIOUS!! We only had a smoothie (Mochachino) so I don't know about the other stuff. But go and get a smoothie! Like now! This place recently changed ownership. Was the single store of the chain owner's father. Initially, when I first reviewed in 2011, the quality was excellent. It slowly went downhill so that there was no consistency in smoothies that I had grown to love. I was hopeful when I saw that the son has added this location to the empire. Nope. The $9 smoothie that was made for me today was tasteless and essentially composed of ice. The staff was friendly and responsive to my request to get something else. This place is amazing, though I have to admit now that it has been adopted into the Juice Press chain there have been some changes I'm not happy with. For one thing, the Split Pea Soup was a different recipe than other locations and I much preferred that one. The one here was thicker. They also had a Cauliflower soup that I really liked but have not seen since. The change of putting salad dressings in separate containers is good in the sense that it allows you to mix and match and to buy an extra to take home with you for homemade recipes, but it is bad in the sense that sometimes the dressing you like with your salad can run out. This has only happened once so far, but I'm so happy that I can bring the dressings home with me that I don't mind. The staff is attentive and knowledgeable, albeit sometimes obnoxious and immature. A few times they have been loudly singing and acting like they're all hanging out together. It just depends on when you go. Another disappointing change (though this occurred before this location was brought under general management) is the discontinuance of the CBC. I'm allergic to nuts and can't have any of the superfood bowls so it was always my go-to bowl. It would be great if Juice Press could be more sensitive to people with allergies and make some smoothies with coconut milk instead of almond milk. The option of peanut butter over almond butter would also be great. Other than that Juice Press is a quality company that offers truly healthy and organic food options and the prices are equal to those at other establishments in New York. My cafeteria, for example, sells (atrocious) salads at $8. Why not pay an extra $2 for quality and taste? Thanks, JP! read more

They have everything from pure green to very sweet fruit juices (all natural of course). I eat Juice Press for breakfast and lunch most days and I have never felt so energetic and amazing. I'm in an abusive relationship with this Juice Press location. It is the worst location and I've been to almost all. But I keep coming back because they have a few items that are exclusive to them. Items that I love. I almost always call my orders in by phone and pick them up in person. I have a 10% card that I've never had an issue with before, even when ordering things over the phone. Unfortunately, I wasn't going to be able to head down today and placed my order via PostMates. They gave the poor guy a hard time and then kept me waiting on the phone forever. I never got around to speaking to a manager. That it would have helped any because the stout little woman that runs this shop knows nothing about customer service. I've had issues with her before.
