My friend got the Deep Green juice (or some sort of green juice) from the Juice Shop (a small little stand/hut in the heart of Hayes Valley where there's a park and lots of shops around) because she wanted a cleanse. The person running the shop this past Friday morning was friendly and helpful with giving her suggestions. We were able to try a few samples before she bought something. I really enjoyed the Citrus Gold because it seemed like a more spice heavy and richer orange juice since it has turmeric and carrots added into it. Solid option. The juices (16 oz.) here were 11.00 but you have to pay +2 for the glass bottle. To get your 2.00 back, you have to return the glass bottle. So my friend and I sat at the park near the Juice Shop and enjoyed our beverages in the nice weather. She ended up finishing her juice, so she was able to get her deposit back. The green juice itself isn't the most pleasant compared to other options, but it's good for green juice. I also felt like it was a lot sweeter than I expected green juice to be. While it's a tad expensive for juice, maybe it's worth it if you want to quench your thirst with something healthy and high quality that's also pretty tasty. read more

Cute little juice stand! I was parched and also needed to hit my protein (rahhhh) while I was out with my best friend, so I ordered the Blue Plant Protein Shake after we stumbled across the place. A smooth drink that quenched my dying thirst lol and the chia seeds added a nice bit of texture, but it really just tasted like flavored almond milk and was pretty expensive for a single drink (but that's sf for you). I ordered the Deep Green juice and from the looks of it, it definitely looks healthy however a glance at the ingredients list is where it's also evident. While it helps that the bottle is aesthetically pleasing inclusive of the $2 bottle deposit, I am now more motivated to juice and make smoothies. I juice myself and after making it at home it's difficult finding a place that does it well. Usually tastes watered down or they bottle in plastic. To best preserve juice glass is best. And also it's less toxic for you. But I gave this place a try since I can't juice myself right now and it's pretty delicious!! So happy I found them while I'm in SF. Yes it's pricy but if you juice yourself you know that it is a ton of work and expensive to do at home. I haven't tried their protein ones yet though that's next on my list. Also to the lady complaining about a roach or something at the store I mean cmon it's a kiosk store front so there's probably spiders and bugs on the floor. While the juice here is pricey, it still tops my list as one of the better pressed juice locations in the Bay Area. They offer 16 oz bottles, which is a good size given the price point per bottle. The menu isn't super extensive, but each of the juice blends that they offer are of really high quality. I got the Winter Defense, which is a mix of grapefruit, green apple, mint, fennel, watercress, and moringa. It tasted really fresh and had a great flavor which I think is testament to the thought they put into their juice blends. YUMMMM I probably think about this drink way more than I should. Visited this stand slightly hungover on a Sunday morning, needing nutrients but not really wanting to eat solid food. A super friendly employee helped me pick out this Blue Plant Protein drink and wow I fell in love. Overall a great sensory experience - rice milk gives it a flavor similar to horchata, spirulina gives it a fun blue color, and chia seeds give it some texture. Super unique and enjoyable. I returned a few weeks later to get the Maca Malt which was also delicious and provided me with ample energy when I was crashing at work one evening. This juice bar screams health nut. The ingredients are fresh, free of preservatives, and made daily. While I might not be the most health conscious person (most meals I eat include ranch), I do enjoy trying new things and education on ingredients and their benefits. Being a health-newb, choosing the perfect juice can be a little overwhelming. Luckily the owner went out of his way to match each individual customer to a beverage with ingredients that benefit them. Since I've always had digestive issues (probably the ranch) I was recommended their seasonal Strawberry Almond nut milk. This drink was right up my alley - thick, creamy, and sweet! It also includes reishi mushrooms, which help your immune system, digestion, and can improve your sleep cycles. This drink was definitely on the expensive side at $12. My only argument for this is that it's a decent size, a healthy option, and is placed in a pretty sweet elixir jar - which you can return for a $2 refund. It's obvious that the owner lives, sleeps, and breaths health, which is what really makes the Juice Shop unique. read more

Love this place! The juice is always very fresh. I have had many fresh pressed juices in bottles. But Juice Shop is the closest to being the freshest juice sold in a bottle. Their menu is posted against the side of the truck. The juices listed on average are about $9, but it's really $11 as there's a $2 deposit for the bottle. However, you can return the bottle to any of their locations and they'll refund you back the $2. They use 100% organic ingredients & sources from local farms. All the juices listed on their menu sounded delicious! I had initially intended to get the Pineapple Pear Chia, but decided to get the Bright Green as it had kale, pineapple, apple, lemon, ginger, & cucumber - all ingredients I love. Plus, it just sounded healthier. Like the name, the juice was a beautifully "bright green" & visually appealing. I thought the juice tasted great. I definitely tasted the ginger and the tartness from the lemon. The hubby didn't care for it too much since it was too tart for his liking. On their brochure, it shows there's a location in the FiDi.
