I had heard so much hype about this spot being the best at Oracle Park and I'm happy to report that the crab sandwich at Crazy Crab'z was indeed worth the hype. I believe there's multiple locations in the venue, but I went to the one by section 142. This spot had the longest line by far, but it moved relatively quickly since it split into 4 different cashier lines. Cashier was very friendly and patient. I got the standard Crazy Crab'z sandwich, which had beautifully buttered and toasted bread, a crab and mayo mix, and tomatoes. It was around $30 after tax, which was a hefty price for a sandwich that could be a bit heftier, but I kind of expected that for arena prices. The sandwich was so good. It really was the perfect lunch for a baseball game with the sun shining and the beautiful bay view. Sometimes I find that crab as an ingredient has a bit of a fishy aftertaste, but the crab in this sandwich tasted super fresh and refreshing, especially paired with the tomato and perfectly toasted bread. For last 2 years I have always got their famous toasted fresh shredded crab meat in the sandwich with a lemon wedge included. And each year, I think the prices always goes up. Now it's like getting closer to $30. But is one of the best times to order at Oracle ballpark when watching a game or event here. The workers crank out the sandwiches like an assembly line that you can see in the main food area. There is also another Craxy Crabs in the top floor if you want to have a lesser wait. The only thing to order is the Crab Sandwich because that's the only thing that is the best. For fun, I order the crab noodle and it was a bit weird for me. It was really tasty as they gave you a pretty large portion of crab and the bread was buttery and garlicky. Came for a game on Sunday afternoon and finally decided to try the infamous crab sandwich. Headed to the concession stand behind bleacher seating around 2:30 pm during the 5th inning. Line was relatively short when I visited, about 6 other parties ahead and it moved fairly quickly. Food: Crab Sandwich - good, bread was nicely griddled and toasted, not greasy or soggy. Crab salad was lightly seasoned, I added a pinch of salt and squeeze of lemon for a bit more flavor, sandwich also had a slice of tomato which added a bit of freshness. Crust were partially cut off I think for more uniform square shape. Flavor was fine no fishiness and not too heavy on the mayo, wish this was a bit warmer but did walk for a few minutes before eating so may have cooled off a bit. Portion size was on the small end. Service was fine, order at the counter and they pull the sandwich from the warm holding box so not much of a wait for the your order. Overall the sandwich was good for ball park concession stand definitely a unique option albeit pricy at $21 before tax and tip. Worth trying once but probably wouldn't order again. I was at the Crazy Crab's stand at Section 142 an hour before game time and there was a line about 15 deep. While waiting in line, I could see the delicious looking sandwiches being made on the griddle. After getting my sandwich, I ate it at one of the tables in front of the stand. The sandwich is made on a grilled buttered sourdough bread with a good portion of Dungeness crab in a mayo dressing with slices of tomato. The crab mixture did not have much if not any fillers like onions or celery. So it was a delicious and decadent sandwich, as good as the critics have said.
