My first venture into DJ territory was to try this kombucha. I've been religious about GT's but it wasn't quite hitting the spot of late. This stuff is good. The Wunderpilz is delicious, refreshing, and without the bite that GTs in a bottle would have. Sure, it's pricey..but all kombucha is. And it's worth it (to me) to get the $20 bottle. I don't usually like buying smoothies since I have a vita-mix at home..but I was fresh out of whey protein and knew I needed a smoothie after a long trail jog at the height of the heat. SO...the Sublimator (with whey protein instead of brown rice protein) did just the trick. Addicted. read more

Juiceland I'd heard of but never visited. I stopped in and was almost overwhelmed at the selection of healhy snack foods and smoothies/juice available. I decided on the kalebraitor and made a good choice. It's rich, creamy, sweet, green and whether or not it's good for you it's Cold on a sunny day. What makes Juiceland isn't just the selection of high quality juices but the ambiance. Plants everywhere, for a minute you feel transported to Jamaica while reggae plays over the speakers. Pretty people wandering through while someone's dog plays with other people nearby. The benches give you a rest from whatever you've been doing that day to relax, hang out and look around. My husband and I first discovered Juiceland when we were visiting Austin last year. We were going to see the Congress bats, but after waiting a long time and getting sweaty we decided we were too hungry to wait any longer. My husband worked at Jamba Juice for 8 years and was craving some. We drove to the nearest Jamba Juice and it was closed! We were so upset, but still wanted something refreshing. I googled juice spots and came up with Juiceland! We drove up and immediately fell in love! We thought the atmosphere was super cool and chill. The juices are great! OH MY GOSH! Is this my favorite ever or is this my favorite ever?!?!? Daily Juice is the PERFECT treat to have after any outdoorsy activity in South Austin. Fresh, fresh, fresh juice with no added water or ice, I don't think they add any sugar either - they'll tell you on the menu if they add any sweetener and it's usually Agave nectar I think. So you don't have to feel guilty for downing a 24 oz. juice... So far, I've had: Tsunami (strawberry, pineapple, apple, orange) - hands-down favorite Strawberry limeade (strawberry, limes) - 2nd favorite, it's not too lime-y and a very good ratio of strawberry with lime Sugar Magnolia (peach, watermelon) - a little bland, but still good (very peachy) Berry Melon-o (strawberry, mango, raspberry, watermelon) - very good but the seeds from the raspberries were kind of annoying Watermelon Juice - straight up watermelon down the juicer, great and fresh-tasting and one of the cheaper ones (24 oz. for $5ish) The Prototype (cherries, goji berries, Texas grapefruit, pineapple, limes) - kind of bitter tasting, would not recommend The only downer is that it is kind of expensive but compared to how refreshing and great-tasting it is, you don't really consider price as a factor ever. Also, they have a punch card (every 10 you buy, you get $5 off or so) - but they don't offer this card unless you ask for it so make sure you get it! You'll be amazed at how often you find yourself back there. This is my favorite location because it is kinda outside and Austin-y feeling. read more

After a walk on the lake, I decided to pick some drinks here. It's a beautiful day so it was busy there. I patiently wait in line to only be received by Mr, Rude, JC. I get it's busy, but no need to loose your cool. He apparently didn't hear me order my first drink and only rang up my second order. Fine, but you didn't have to be rude about explaining you have to close out the first transaction to ring up my second one. After the service I received the juice wasn't that great either. read more

I'm a huge fan of JuiceLand! There's many locations in Austin which is nice. My favorite is the Wondershowzen. All the smoothies I've had are great and have excellent flavor plus they list all the ingredients under the smoothie so you see exactly what you're about to be drinking. I'm pretty positive almost everyone says it, but the location of this JuiceLand really is perfect for a post run drink. For those post-run occasions, I recommend the recovery punch that is full of coconut water, beet juice, salt, and other fruits that make the taste flavorful instead of unbearable. It is also the perfect spot to grab a smoothie before heading down to the lake to kayak or to Deep Eddy's to swim. So, location-wise and flavor-wise everything is pretty solid. Price-wise, parking-wise, and drink-size are where we are lacking. Get ready to pay $6 for a small drink, compete for street parking, and find a cup in your hand the size of most child's drinks that is advertised as a small (the kid's cup is remarkably, even smaller). read more

This place is not for your average Joe. If you don't understand the menu then just turn around and leave. It is major health food with all kinds of crazy smoothie ingredients that I didn't recognize. I got a smoothie that seemed innocuous with yummy stuff like coconut and mango. Somehow that smoothie was green though and tasted like moldy grass. Yes, they are a bit spendy, but Juiceland beats the pants of Jamba Juice any day. My all time favorite is their Kaleibrator. It had Durian in it, and do not be afraid. There isn't a trace of its distinct rotten egg smell. It is a refreshing and vitamin packed smoothie that will leave you begging for more. I also love grabbing their tasty lunches to go such as the quinoa salad topped with pistachio dressing, cukes, raisins and other wholesome veggies. i had to review this twice because i'm a regular patron at both locations. when i run at least 3-4 miles at town lake, i treat myself to a drink at daily juice. sometimes it's the motivating factor that gets me out to run and drives me back up that darn hill afterwards. my aching calves scream for mango lassies! it's sad that i'm so addicted to this drink i never venture to try other drinks. tsunami is next on my list and then one of the chocolate concoctions! this location is better b/c there's more parking on the street and in the small lot. however i must should be on foot! read more

I just joined Yelp today and picked my all time favorite place to review first, on purpose. I love Daily Juice and recently discovered its other location near Deep Eddy! There just isn't another juice bar like them...and the staff (on Barton Springs at least) is over the top friendly and helpful. Like others, I haven't had one thing from Daily Juice that I haven't loved...and I've tried so many of their menu items. My favorites are the "chocolate milk" and "coco love"...Yummm. Not my favorite just because of location and outside only thing.. but it is one of the original locations and so you can't knock that. They are always busy and so definitely call ahead of time if you want to skip the line. Everything taste fresh because it is fresh and you can add over 15 things to your smoothie. DELICIOUS!! My boyfriend and I hit this place up at least 3 times a week on our way to the dog park. My favorite smoothie there is the Chai Chi. It's so yummy! I appreciate their desire to make healthy drinks and fabulous snacks free of gnarly additives and preservatives. Best smoothies in Austin, hands down! I also frequent the new Burnet road location.

I've had an occasional smoothie from JuiceLand, and it's always been delicious. This weekend, my husband and I tried the 3 day cleanse (Level 1), and we are hanging on by a thinnest of threads. Like another reviewer stated, the juices, with rare exception, all taste like celery. Completely overwhelming. I can only tolerate drinking 4 of the 6 daily juices, and am pretty nauseous all day. (upside, completely killed both of our appetites). We will finish the cleanse, but there have to be better tasting juices out there. Do all cold pressed healthy juices taste this bad? Now, I emailed Juiceland to say I was having trouble with my cleanse (first time, and picked the wrong level), and they immediately responded and changed me to a different set of juices for the last 2 days. The woman who responded could not have been more helpful. However, the juices taste so bad, I can only warn you--before you purchase a cleanse, be very certain you are willing to feel like you have a mild flu for a few days. read more

Worst experience I've ever had here and terrible customer service. I generally like JuiceLand because most places are very observant of my food allergies. When I ordered with Zach at this location, I told him my peanut and sesame allergy which he acknowledged. He then followed up by asking me how severe my allergy was.. because they didn't want to sanitize the blender. I confirmed with him again that I could not have sesame and peanuts. I ordered the un believe a bowl and after eating about a quarter of the bowl, realized that the granola had sesame seeds. I had to hunt down Zach and when I asked him if there were sesame seeds in the granola. He said he wasn't sure because it was in an unlabeled container. I asked him to check and clarify and he returned and said that there were sesame seeds in the granola and that it would "not be recommended" - which he had added into my order ( WHAT?!) My allergies were clearly not taken seriously. Hoping a trip to the hospital will not be coming in the next hour or so. Thanks for the great customer service JuiceLand. read more

My boyfriend and I arrived 15 minutes prior to opening. We ordered 2 shots of Noni to Fear. The girl was going to help us, but then her manager interrupted us and said "we are not open yet." We waited 15 minutes. Then when we ordered again we were shocked when the girl opened the little mini fridge that was a half-arms-length away, grabbed a pre-made squeeze bottle of juice with a label that read "Wednesday" and poured us 2 shots. We waited 15 minutes and paid $5 for old juice. Needless to say, we won't ever order shots again or visit this location. read more

They have a loyalty rewards program which is nice. Discount if you bring your own cup. The only way they could be better in my eyes is if they went 100% organic.
