Every item I ordered over the days was fantastic; the smoothies, avocado toast, cold brew, lattes....knowing everything was vegan made it extra special. I live on the southside of Chicago, but I make special trips to purchase my favorite smoothie bowl, juice shots, and/or kale chips. I'm going to start this review with a fact, I'm not a juice/smoothie person. But after recently getting over the flu, I stopped into JuiceRx's new location to get a smoothie. It seemed like the perfect solution for a sore throat and weakened immune system. Ten minutes later I was converted and am already craving my next concoction. I opted for a banana/chocolate combo with add-ons to boost my immunity, plus coconut meat. It was delicious and really satiated me. The owner, Dean, was onsite and really helped to explain how his product line works. The workers behind the counter were so nice! Plus, the venue is beautiful. I love JuiceRx and have been going to the one on Damen for a couple years now. I was so happy to see there's one downtown that opens early enough for me to stop by before work. That happiness quickly disappeared when I got there and was told that they don't do bowls until after 9:00 when at least two people are there, even though I was the ONLY customer currently in the store. If they were really busy I could maybe understand, but not really since on the menu that time isn't specified. If you were planning to stop in for a bowl before work, don't because you can't get one. read more

The smoothie i got here was great. However, they were out of the coconut whip that comes with the macro maca that i ordered. Instead of telling me as i ordered or as they handed it to me, they either forgot or were hoping i'd not notice. I came back and asked if they could put the whip on. They took it back and went to go put it on, but they started squeezing an empty canister into my drink. Both of the employees just kinda looked around like they were confused until the manager came out and explained they were out of the coconut whip. The whole situation made me feel like i was dumb for asking for it. It is not hard to tell someone upfront that you are out of something or to even apologize after you realize. Poor experience here. They had many opportunities to just say what the manager had to come over and say for some reason. After he said as much, i said that it was fine and left. read more

Wow, I recently ordered a quick one day cleanse just to "refresh" my system. They've introduced a few new flavors that I was excited to try. 1) Gingerade: This was absolutely delicious, even better than a ginger ale (and I love ginger ales)! I hope they keep this on a regular basis instead of the spicy lemonade starter. 2) Watermelon Mint: like I stated before, I typically don't like mint in my drinks, but I enjoyed this one! Light, sweet, and refreshing, I definitely did not mind drinking this on a hot summer day. :) 3) Pina Colada Cashew Milk: OMG. If I were to close my eyes and drink this, I would literally think it was a virgin pina colada. It is THAT good. I have no clue how something this delicious can be *gasp* healthy! These guys saved my life. Coming from NYC on business, the Midwest pollen activated my allergies to a point of beyond DefCon 5. I Yelped "juices," and seeing the 5 stars on JuiceRx I didn't read any of the reviews and just showed up at the door. Turns out, this ain't no juice bar. Rather it's a juice and cleanse program that's primarily built for home delivery. But after explaining my dire situation, Traci was super cool and packaged together 4 freshly pressed juices which I used to combat my depleted immune system. You can't go wrong with the Gingerade, especially if you're trying to battle the sniffles. My favorite was actually a cashier nut milk which had a dash of cinnamon in it. Delicious. In Chicago, besides my local juice bars in Hyde Park (which I love), I have tried juices from Chicago Raw, Peeled, JuiceRX and Loop Juice and I would have to say that JuiceRX has hands down the best tasting/highest quality juice + best customer service. Juice quality and taste: I only drank green juices and nut milks, and they all taste delicious, especially the Hochata Cashew Milk. The Extreme Green Juice takes some getting used too, but other green juice are very easy to drink. Peeled's juice is too high in sugar- when I was doing their cleanse, after I drank a juice my blood sugar would spike and then drop so much that I felt extremely dizzy and needed to lie down for a while. I did not have this problem with Juice RX. I also like that their juices are organic and they seem to have strict quality control (I emailed and asked them about their process). Loop Juice's juice once gave me bad cramp and diarrhea. Usually when I buy juice from a juice bar, I would observe their cleanliness and the freshness of their produce, but with delivery juice, it is hard to know how the drink was handled before. So for me the integrity of the business is very important, and based on their service quality, I have higher trust in them than Peeled. Delivery: There is confirmation email for delivery. 20 mins before delivery they will send you a text message. The max delivery fee is $15 but you get free delivery if you buy more than a certain amount. Peeled charged me more than $30 for delivery but did not deliver the juice on time. It turned out that they had given the delivery people a wrong name and address. I was already out of the house by then so it was very inconvenient. Peeled also did not have online form to schedule delivery so everything has to be done via email and phone. The employees did not seem to communicate so when I called the store and the one who was talking to me via email was not in, the other people did not have information about my order. The people are Peeled are quite nice- I just preferred the professionalism of the Juice RX system. Customer service: Superb- definitely the best I have seen so far. They are highly-professional, and also very accommodating. Dean, the owner, seemed to reply to emails within the day. He was happy to help me make changes to my payment method or my order. I like that they are highly transparent and would provide detailed answer to any questions I might have about the business of the product. They also have some reward point system. Bonus: The juices come with a box labelled 1 to 6 so you can order your drinks for the day. I like the cute sentences on the box and the bottles. Minus: The main con is that their juices are quite expensive compared to other companies. Plus, buying individual juices is actually cheaper than buying a whole cleansing package. There is also no ice pack in the delivered juice box, but it does not matter now since it's winter. read more

Yeah, it's pricey. It took me awhile to dive in and just dish out the dole and order a 3 day super green cleanse. Why? Because my health is worth it and my depression symptoms were starting to come back from work stress, school stress, and eating horribly from ripping and running. I could have juiced at home but with a masticating juicer you need allot of time to juice fruits and veggies for just one day. I decided to leave the manual labor to someone else this time. After extensive research into the different businesses offering juice cleanses, JuiceRx is the only one that covered all the issues that happen when you don't juice right or use the right materials. I wanted to pay for an exceptional high quality juice cleanse that will get me back on track to wellness and wholeness. In the end, I have NO regrets. The green only juice cleanse was quite potent. By the end of the cleanse I think I lost some pounds and I felt fabulous. Take that depression! Now it's back to clean eating and drinking my own homemade juice once a day. I would splurge again in the future for a less potent cleanse. Totally worth it. JuiceRx rocks! Keep it up! read more

I've been researching juice cleanses for the past couple of months. After renting a documentary featured on the company's site I was convinced and decided to finally give it a whirl. So I tried a 3 day cleanse. I wanted to see what the buzz was about, while revitalizing my energy and health. The juices were delivered right on time, labeled and ready to go. Kudos to the staff for following up and providing substitutions to accommodate my nut allergies. If you too suffer from nut allergies, make sure to let them know all the specifics. I'm happy to say I avoided temptation and stuck to the script. The juices were filling and fresh. The verdict? A pricey experiment. I'm disappointed to say my energy level was very low throughout the cleanse. I kept waiting to feel re-energized and renewed but I didn't feel any different, just ready for a knife and fork, and exhausted. read more
