Very very packed! Better to go with a friend so someone can save a table and one of yalls does the ordering. Trust me, tables get taken quickly. Food is very affordable and pretty delicious. We were in Toronto for a couple days and ended up eating here twice on the trip. 10/10 would recommend for folks craving soupy deliciousness!
Probably one of the best value you can find in Chinatown! Their Xiao Long Bao (soup dumplings) are delicious, and you can't beat the special: 6 mini soup dumplings for just $2.99. The fried dumplings were also a highlight--perfectly crispy and flavorful. The setup is very no-frills and efficient. You order at a kiosk or the counter and wait for your number to be called. It's connected to the Dragon City Mall, so it's easy to find. There's a decent amount of seating, and it's clearly a favorite for students thanks to the affordability. Great spot for a quick, delicious, and budget-friendly meal!
The service here was quick and efficient. They are a very busy spot. The ambiance is average, it is a bit cramped inside and there is a good amount of seating, however you may have to wait for a table, fortunately we did not. The food itself was fantastic. Delicious soup dumplings, and really good spinach dumplings as well. We loved everything we ordered and were super happy with the food we had. There were many options between all of the restaurants around and we were not disappointed.
This is a popular fast food spot in the area with frequent offers for dumplings. When I went, they had discounted rates for steamed pork dumplings. I tried both their steam dumplings and fried dumplings. Enjoyed both. Also tried their chive pancakes. The portion was big. The service counter is easy to use and helps with quick turn around.
Really enjoyed this place, even though the line was out the door, it moved really fast. You can order at the register, or directly through one of the self-serve kiosks. Seating is a premium here, so if you see a seat, grab a seat. It was busy, loud, fast paced but delicious. The price was really great for what you get especially with the quality of the dumplings here!

I will admit that I'm biased. I previously wrote a review for Dumpling House in which I discussed the benefits of having an old Asian woman hand-rolling dumplings in the window with duct tape on it. This place, Juicy Dumpling, is becoming quite trendy, and I don't really understand why. It is the equivalent of Popeyes for dumplings. You don't have to talk to anybody. There is no "service "or "ambience," other than the fluorescent lights. You order on a screen, someone calls out your number, and you pick up dumplings in a to-go container (the cardboard kind so the dumplings stick to it). The soup dumplings were not bad. They were adequate.The other dumplings that I had, the fried pork dumplings, were severely meh. The vegetable steamed dumplings lacked taste of any kind. They were an abomination. So if you want dumplings with no soul, no personality, this is the place you should go for "fast food" dumplings. If you want a real dumpling experience, walk around the corner.
This is my electric chair meal and I don't really even enjoy dumplings. we ordered the pork soup pan seared and steamed dumplings; and veggie spring rolls. They do NOT disappoint. The burst of flavor you get as you take your bite of dumpling is unlike anything I've ever had. I will say I enjoy the pan seared a little more. The inside isn't anything to write home about. It doesn't feel super safe as it's in a rough area but no one bothered us when we were there. Service was okay, nothing good or bad here to add.

Service is quick, prices are very affordable, and the quality is solid for what you pay. It is a great choice if you are looking for something tasty, filling, and budget friendly in the downtown core.
Juicy dumpling 100% lives up to the hype!! My friend and I came here last night to try their famous dim sum and we were so happy with everything we ordered. Unless you walk, take the subway, or bus, you will have to pay $5/2hr at the parking structure attached to the restaurant. Upon entering, you have the option to order through their kiosks (if paying card or tap) or the front (if paying cash). The menu is pretty straightforward, it tells you everything you need to know regarding portion, price, and what comes in it. My friend ordered the juicy pan fried pork bun and steamed pork/crab soup dumplings, and I ordered the pan fried pork soup dumplings. The restaurant was moderately busy but the food came out so fast I swear it took less than 10 minutes of a wait. The dumplings were all love at first bite. You can tell the wrappers they use are made from scratch, which definitely makes or breaks a dumpling. Soy sauce and chili sauce packets are included but if you need more, there is a self serve section next to the cash register. Very simple yet memorable experience and even though I live in Oakville I would ABSOLUTELY make the hour long trip just to eat here again. We're both still thinking about how we should've ordered more to take home, lol. 11/10 recommend :)
I could not believe how fast and delicious and cheap these dumplings were! i got the fried soup dumplings and fried pork dumplings. It came to like CAN$13 and was very filling and yummy!
Definitely a must try in Toronto! Sign feels like clickbait but it's cheap, affordable, and compares well to higher price point dumplings. By no means are the dumplings here elite, but they are on par with most dumplings at a fraction of the cost. Ordering is very easy with their numbering system (P# for pan fried, S# for steamed, etc). P1 Pan Fried (pork) - honestly the pan fry sounded amazing but it doesn't work that well in XLB style. Felt like less soup and the crisp wasn't that relevant with the small surface area. P4 Pan Fried (chicken) - the pan fry here is much better with more ground to cover, though opt for P3 because it's so juicy. The chicken made this a bit more dry, no juices leaked through, meanwhile the pork one was dripping like a XLB! S1 Steamed (pork) - like a XLB with hearty soup, a very classic dumpling that has no wrongs. Not dried out and it was amazing, on par with most higher priced soup dumplings out there.

I have been wanting to go here for such a long time after hearing about its amazing price of $3 for 6 xiao long baos!! after my long anticipation to go here long story short - THESE ARE THE JUICIEST DUMPLINGS IVE EVER HAD !!!!! I came with my boyfriend and we ordered two of the P1 steamed pork dumpling and two P3 pan fried juicy pork dumpling so 10 dumplings for us each. the food came very quickly and we were given a buzzer so we could sit down and wait. there is also a sauce station at the side which you can make while your wait. first off the steamed pork dumpling that had a thin exterior and the meat filled it to the brim. upon biting the juice exploding out like a volcano - there was sooooo much juice I was shocked. for the price this is so worth it. the pan fried juicy pork is amazing and you have to get it. although it is priced slightly more, the dumplings are much larger, about two times the size. I love that the outside dough has flavour too. the pan fried flavour gives it some crisp which is a nice touch. this one dare I say it is even more juicy. it squirts everywhere!!! I took one bite and it exploded in my face and my boyfriend took a bite and it exploded on his pants and table. I will definitely be coming here again for their amazing quality, cheaply priced DELICIOUS DUMPLINGS !!!! everyone has to come here !! a tip for me next time and for those looking to go is to not to get too many dumplings and try other menu items too because the dumplings can be oily if you get too many read more
I came here on a Friday afternoon and there was a line almost out the door! I got pork and crab dumplings as well as pan-fried pork dumplings. I sat down at a table to wait for my food, and after a few minutes, my food came out. The pork and crab dumplings were tasty but the skin was a bit thick. I really liked the pan-fried pork dumplings though; the insides were soupy and the meat was juicy too. It was pretty great, but the soup dumplings were average. Price-wise, they were okay; the six soup dumplings and four pan-fried buns came out to be $11.28 (CAD) including tax. read more

The best soup dumplings for your money, by far! I would highly recommend the boiled soup dumplings ($2.99+tax) or the fried soup dumplings ($2.99+tax). The soup dumplings are cooked to perfection and ordering is very simple because they have a limited amount of items on their menu. Located in the heart of Chinatown at the intersection of Dundas and Spadina which makes it easily accessible by transit or walking. The staff are friendly and really quick to finish your order. Only thing I'd beware of is the seating because this place is very popular. If you're looking to dine in, most times I've gone, it's been super busy. Highly recommend this awesome place!! read more
This is a great place for a quick lunch. This place is no frills and has a compact menu. My favorite is the pan fried soup dumpling. It was crispy on the outside and juicy in the inside. I got pork because that's what they traditionally are made with. It goes well with the black vinegar. I wish they had sliced fresh ginger or chunky Taiwanese hot sauce but the only other condiments were sriracha and soy sauce. Their steamed soup dumplings were ok. Not sure if my batch was just old but they weee like warm, stuck to the bottom paper and did not really have any soup in them. I got the crab and pork but it really didn't have crab flavor. Still much better than any other place I been to outside of the east coast and Asia. I would come back for the pan fried ones for sure. read more

Quick and friendly service, cheap, and delicious dumplings! We ordered 6 mini steamed soup dumplings ($2.99) and 4 pan fried pork buns ($3.99). Plenty of space to sit to eat or you can take it to go and eat it at the park in Kensington Market that is just up the street. Totally worth checking out - some of the cheapest dumplings in Chinatown. read more
This place is a must try! It is located in Chinatown at the intersection of Spadina and Dundas, inside of Dragon City. I've heard a lot of hype about this place and was so excited to try it. Let me tell you I was not disappointed and visited this place again two days later! Yes, I've had juicy dumpling twice in a week and it was just as good the second time! My first visit I order the steamed XLB and the pan fried XLB. The pan fried ones were nicely fried and filled with a good amount of soup. It was juicy and delicious. The meat inside had a nice texture and you can tell that it was a nice meat blend, not fatty. The steamed ones did not taste as flavorful as the pan fried ones but still had a nice filling and good amount of soup. My second visit, I ordered the pan fried XLB, pan fried juicy pork buns and the wonton soup. The fried XLB was just a delicious as I remembered and the wonton soup was so nice on such a cold day. The wonton was made with a generous amount of shrimp and came with about 7 pieces in the soup. The soup was light but still tasty, at the bottom there was fried shrimp found. It was nice to know it wasn't instant soup. The pan fried pork buns were similar to the pan fried XLB but the skin was a lot thicker. Definitely more filling. If you are looking for a cheap and quick meal/snack this is the place! Their dumplings are flavourful and juicy, you get 6 of the original soup pork dumplings for $2.99. Also tried the Kuza mochi this time. They were firm and chewy, filled with a generous amount of red bean paste. The service was super quick despite how busy they are. We got our dumplings minutes after we paid at the counter. This is also a popular destination for take out when you want an affordable night in! read more

I have been here a couple of times and never once have they disappointed me. Their dumplings are 2.99 for 6. It is filled with soup inside the dumpling which really stood up to their store name. They tell you to be careful when you bite into the dumpling as the soup can be very hot. Service - The owner came around the tables asking if we need the table cleaned and when we were about to leave he came and took our trays and told us that they are about to open another one at yonge and bloor. This is definitely a place I would keep coming back. read more
If ya'll haven't tried these cheap and quick dumplings DT... you gotta! The first time I let my phone capture the buns before I devoured them . My favorite would be the "Pan Fried Juicy Buns", which comes with 4 pieces of flavorful pork-filled soupy dumplings. Even though the pan fried dumplings aren't as crispy as the ones from Sanji Fried Bao, they are still pretty fire for the price. Their steamed mini soup dumplings are decent too with thin wrapping and soupy filling however they aren't as flavorful! read more

Quick service, low prices, and decent Chinese "fast food". It's definitely not healthy, but it's quite greasy for what it is. Our stomachs did not feel that great after eating thi What we tried: - Pan fried pork bun 5/5: $3.99 for 4, these tasted amazing! I was surprised there was soup in these dumplings. They were crispy and topped with black sesame and green onions for a nice touch. - Mini soup dumplings 4/5: super cheap - $2.99 for 6! They tasted standard. - Green onion pancake 2/5: $4.99 - wayyyy too greasy. Could barely taste any green onion. It was pretty much oil and wheat. Would not get again. I prefer dimsum restaurants over fast food style soup dumplings. Since it's fast food style, the tables weren't clean and there's a ton of plastic packaging waste without recycling bins. read more

I love dumplings especially soupy dumplings so when I heard that Juicy Dumplings opened up in Chinatown, I was eager to check it out. There is seating for 30 people. You line up to place your order and they give you one of those pagers to let you know when your order comes up. The staff were friendly and answered my questions about the difference between the choices of dumplings. Prices are very reasonable ($2.99-$6.99). I ordered steamed mini pork soup dumplings and pan fried juicy pork buns. I probably only waited about 5-7 minutes for my order. Compared with more famous soup dumpling places, Juicy's soup dumplings looked limp as though not freshly steamed or had a disproportionate amount of filling and soup versus dough. The combination of thick dough and limp soup dumplings made sipping the soup out of each dumpling more challenging than usual. The broth in the crab and pork dumplings had noticeable crab and pork flavour but the broth was not as strong in flavour as the broth in the pan fried pork dumplings. The pan fried juicy pork dumplings (or sang-ji bao) were juicy with a good amount of soup that could be sipped out of the bao. The bao broth was rich in collagenous umami flavour and texture. I would have preferred that the bao were a lot less oily. The "skin" on both dumplings was thicker than I would generally prefer and the inner side of the skin was just slightly underdone which made for a less than desirable textural experience. Also the lack of conventional Chinese soup spoons on which to balance the soup dumplings made it challenging to get all of the soup out of the soup dumplings. I prefer Sang-ji Bao in North York for their pan fried juicy pork buns and Ding Tai Fung in Scarborough for their xiao long bao. However if you're in the Chinatown area and having a craving for xiao long bao or sang-ji bao, Juicy Dumplings is sufficient to fill the cravings at very reasonable prices. read more
I get it. I understand the hype now. If you can get passed the possibility of dumpling juice shooting across the table and hitting a stranger in the eye, then yes, GO TO JUICY DUMPLING. My SO and I tried pretty much everything on the menu, and wow. Everything was full of flavor and, did I mention the insanely affordable price point? You and a friend can get everything on the menu without taking a second mortgage out. But seriously, you can go back for seconds and thirds if you wanted to. I definitely loved the PAN FRIED JUICY BUNS ($3.99/4) the most, hence the picture. My only complaint is how cold is it. I did have to wear my jacket while eating, but at least the dumplings never burned my tongue? read more

Alright. So the dumplings are pretty lit. Try it. See for yourself, read the other reviews, taste the soup. But that's not what this review is about. This review is about those that dip their soup filled xiaolongbaos in soy sauce instead of vinegar. It's really an atrocity that the option is even provided. Let me tell you, the soy dip is the inferior dip. It overwhelms the taste of these juicy dumplings, slight gaminess of the pork and delicate soup flavour with the extra taste of unnecessary sweetness. Do the world justice and dip your xiaolongbaos in black vinegar. read more
Ok.. I have never had Dumplings in my life. Now ever since I moved to Toronto I had the sudden craving for dumplings, I would always walk by Chinese restaurants with these little pockets of goodness on display. So I finally tried them, and let me tell you, these are so incredibly delicious! The little soup dumplings were so savoury along with the perfect eating temperature as soon as you get them. The pan fried juicy buns just exploded about a foot away onto my husbands T-shirt! Now I have only had these two types of dumplings but boy I cannot wait to try some more options! I highly recommend juicy dumplings for a little snack as you're walking the streets of Toronto!! read more

These dumplings sure were juicy! I got the $2.99 for 6 steam buns and another 6 of then fried XLB, the $3.99 for 4 fried dumplings and fried rice. My favorite was the $3.99 fried buns. The ratio of pork filling to crispy on the bottom and soft on the top bun was perfect, and it was filled with slurp worthy soup. I was pleasantly surprised with how much soup held intact in the bun. Many other places I have tried similar buns, the soup always find a way to escape before I get to it. They remind me of what I would eat in my Shanghai. In terms of value you honestly can't go wrong with the XLBs. Where else can you get so much deliciousness for $3? But really you can't go wrong with any of the buns here. Juicy and tasty. The idea of fast-food service in a dumpling house. I honestly don't recommend Xiao long bao dumplings be something you'd order and take to go. Also, make sure you have the be dark vinegar. You're not maximising the taste of you don't eat it with dark vinegar. There's also pour your own Sriracha and soya sauce, where the plastic cutleries and wooden chopsticks are placed. Great tasting and make do with the price (it be is afterall still in downtown location- means slightly more expensive rental ;) Long line, be back expected to be on alert mode and fight for your seats. Green onion was abit too oily. Stick to the Xiaolongbaos in your order and you'll be fine. read more

Saw good reviews on Yelp so the wife and I decided to bring the niece here for some dumplings. We were food hopping downtown and each had a taco at seven lives and shared a poutine from moo fries down by Kensington Market but we're still hungry. We ordered the pork filled and crab filled soup dumplings. The dumplings here are weak at best. The frozen dumplings you get from TNT is even better than this. There are a lot more better dumpling places than this. I have no idea how and why they have a four star rating. I would not come back here again. read more

unsure what the hype is about for this place. born and raised in southern china, i know what authentic xiao long bao and pan fried bao should taste like. they do NOT taste like this. if you are looking for authentic pan fried bao go to north york center sang ji fried bao. approved by mom dad me and my southern chinese friend. if you have no benchmark to compare the pan friend bao to, then you will think this is one of the most amazing pan fried bao toronto has to offer. but it really isn't! the grass mochi with red bean paste inside is from the fridge. thanks to the cashier for telling me the mocha is not freshly made in house to save me the four dollars. if you want the mochi go to T and T supermarket frozen food section. read more

It is very saddening, when the world is changing slowly their eating habits, with people who are vegan, vegetarian, or can gluten free... most restaurants are catering this group, but some restaurants wants keep their traditions, and won't update themselves to new demands. We went to Juicy Dumpling in Toronto Chinatown. The restaurant is small and semi clean. Vegetarian options are nil when it comes to their specialties. All pan fried or steamed dumplings are with meat. I opt for shrimp wonton with spicy sauce and mochi with red bean paste. Shrimp wonton was below average, and the sauce wasn't even spicy at all. False advertisement! Mochi was so oily, that it didn't make any sense, I had mochi many many times. The taste was oily too. Overall, it was a slight disappointment Juicy Dumplings! read more
This place is a hidden gem and i'm a little scared of giving this place a good review because its so good for so cheap. I've been craving xiao long bao for a good month, bugging my friends to go out for dim sum and this is my perfect alternative solution. It's a small stop shop where you can sit down and eat or you can grab take out, not really meant to be a restaurant for groups. The place is clean and modern, no sketchy vibes. The staff were nice but nothing outstanding comes out of it thats why its not 5 stars. The food earns the 4 stars because 6 DUMPLINGS FOR 2.99 like WOW. They won't change your life but they will certainly make up for a bad day and give you a nice warm memory of childhood family dimsum. I've only tried to classic pork soup dumplings and pan fried dumplings, sort of curious to try the rest Very happy to have found this place and I will definitely come back. read more
Pan fried dumplings were really good. The soup dumplings were ok too. Both were warm and not steaming hot. I think it would've tasted much better if it came right out of the steamers. The fried chicken had lots of cumin sprinkled at the top of one piece so we had to spread it around. Thattt was super hot and juicy. The service was quick too. Self serve condiments including vinegar, soy sauce and sriracha. Also self serve utensils and napkins. Great place for a quick bite. read more

Excellent dumplings. Better than asian legend! Siu long baos are fresh, jucy and skin is not too loose nor thin. Fried siu long baos are great too, adds a bit of texture when the bottom is fried San jin baos. Crispy,hot and even juicier than the xiao long baos. They explode when u bite into them. Prices are reasonable. Must eat when you're in toronto chinatown. read more
Stumbled upon this spot on a Sunday afternoon while roaming china town. There was no line but a full house in the dining area. There is also additional seating in the mall. You are provided with a pager to inform you when your food is ready which was within a few minutes. We went with the steamed soup dumplings, which seem like a no brained here. The portions were goo portions and it came at a great price. Would definitely be back. read more
