I recently visited Juicy Hotpot with a couple of friends, and we had a great experience! We each ordered our own individual hot pot, and I loved that everyone could choose a different soup base. I got the Tom Yum seafood set, which came with a generous amount of seafood. The handmade beef balls and fish balls were definitely the highlight. It was fresh, bouncy, and delicious. Great service, fresh ingredients, and I'll definitely be back!

We ordered the herbal chicken base. The soup had a depth of flavor and the chicken in the soup was very tender. Overall the place had a homey vibe. The topping station was well stocked. The portions of the dishes were fairy priced.

Stopped by this hot pot restaurant in San Gabriel and had a great experience! I really like the individual hot pot concept because everyone gets to pick their own soup base. We ordered three different combinations: beef with spicy broth, lamb with the house broth, and seafood with tom yum. The lamb was rich, comforting, and brought out the sweetness of the ingredients. The spicy broth had a nice kick without being overwhelming, and the tom yum paired really well with the seafood. We also ordered the fried chicken and calamari as appetizers. Both were crispy, fresh, and a nice addition to the meal. The restaurant is clean, service was friendly, and the food came out pretty quickly.

Not the first time but very satisfied for our most recent visit here…read more It's been a while since we last ate here and we had family dinner as a party of 10, so we were given a private room with 3 hot pots. We had beef, lamb, and pork slices for hotpot which we ordered 5 each per order. We had two pots original and one spicy. The meat slices were very thin so cooking time wasn't long and we paired it with various sauces, so if you make a good sauce it'll be even better. The buffet selection definitely changed, there's more hot foods and they no longer have mini sausages. I do enjoy their char siu and their varieties. Staff were pretty attentive with making sure our tables are cleared and if we need more meat. Since we were in a private room, they still came by to check on us. Overall, I did enjoy this place and would come again! I think not everyone liked how thin the meat was sliced but I'm fine with it. Ice creams costs money as well.

After they left, we were the only party there. It wasn't as busy as it used to be to be. After looking at their menu online, we saw that the lunch price ended at 3:30pm, so we got there before that time. When we were there, we were handed a new menu where lunch is from 11:00-3:00pm and dinner from 4:00-11:00pm. We were asked to pay the dinner price, The waiter just said his manager told him to tell everyone that, but the menu doesn't state the price between 3:00-4:00pm. The online menu also needs to be updated. As for the food, the hot food selection has gone downhill. Not as much variety as before. Mostly fried foods, not as much greens as before. The dessert selection was only oranges and a jello dessert. The meat was sliced super thin, so it wasn't chewy. I would say the service was just ok. One waiter was catering to us, but he was also busy doing other things in the kitchen. Would I come back here again, probably not. I just feel like everything should be transparent, so the trust is there.

Other places have passed them by in some respects First there is no sauce bar here. Just four small containers of sauces you can use. Ironically none of those sauces are soy sauce. A darker possible peanut sauce, a sesame sauce, a pinkish possibly fermented tofu sauce and the standard chili oil. I wanted more as far as the sauce goes and I thought a sauce bar was pretty standard these days Second there is no AYCE bar with small snacks. Kind of interesting When ordering the meat, I guess they wanted to save a plate so the sliced meats just came in plastic containers. That loses some points with me on presentation Other than that everything is fine. They charge a little less for the broth than a lot of places do, so that's nice Got vegetables, mushrooms, tofu, noodles and a couple of meats. Overall it's a fine experience, mostly Ok to Good. But the lack of some things makes it more second tier for me and it would not be a go to hot pot place for me

I found this place to be a bit pricey, particularly because almost all the veggies/noodles/non-meats were priced at $4.95. In my opinion, the end pricing should better reflect the ingredient pricing. Service was very bad. We were seated, ordered, and brought the food. We never were spoken to again and had to call over two different staff members to get the bill, then pay for it. They do have large tables for groups. Overall, this is the best hot pot restaurant I have tried so far, but I didn't love it.

Just like I mentioned in my review for Lameizi, that one is average, but Chunlahao is a little beyond average. It was at Chunlahao that I first learned about the so-called square bamboo shoot (方竹筍), and I liked it. But this time they were out of it, which was a pity. Another interesting thing happened when we ordered a plate of marinated beef. It looked fancy, arranged in a green and red Tai Chi shape, very beautiful. But when I tried to put it into the pot, I realized the plate only had the decoration but no beef. We told the waiters and they also found it funny. They replaced the plate for us. The restaurant was much brighter than the last time I visited, maybe because they changed the lights. We also had more people with us this time. I guess that is why I felt like giving a higher score. It must have been the better atmosphere.

On the outside it only says "Chong Qing Hot Pot". This place is pretty big actually. When you walk in, there's like a bit of a walk from the entrance to the actual dining area. The inside is also nicely decorated and themed. There are two "bars". One bar has all of your dipping sauces that you can make and it has jar sesame oil. There is another bar on the other side which has things like Sesame balls and other dessert like items. The service here is really good. They come check on you very often. Make sure your soup isn't empty and the food comes really quickly. The quality of the food is pretty good too. The meat is well marbled and the vegetables are pretty fresh. The soup broth I got was the spicy one which is like the traditional hot pot soup with the oil and the bone broth. The bone broth soup is actually really good. It's not bland and the spicy hotpot is actually really spicy. Overall, the experience is really good. Compared to Hai Di Lao to this place, I think this place is a bit better in terms of service and pricing but Hai Di Lao is better is presentation. The bone broth soup at Hai Di Lao is very bland and doesn't taste like anything compared to here. This place also has dessert items like sesame balls which is pretty good. I highly recommend trying this place out. 5/5. The only downfall I would say is the restroom, it just doesn't have good ventilation and smells.

The mushroom soup base is a must--rich, flavorful, and especially perfect when paired with rice. It's one of those broths you actually want to finish, not just cook in. For meats, I always go back to the fatty beef belly and the Angus beef ribeye. Both are high quality, well-sliced, and cook perfectly in the broth--super satisfying every time. Service here has consistently been great. Yes, there's usually a wait, but that's because this place is always packed--it's constantly poppin, and for good reason. The staff keeps things moving and still manages to stay attentive. But honestly, my favorite part? The snack bar. It's such an underrated highlight. They have a variety of snacks available, and I always end up grabbing extras to take with me for later. It just adds to the whole experience and makes it feel like you're getting more than just a meal. Overall, this spot lives up to the hype. Great food, great energy, and definitely worth the wait.

We tried meats #1-3 from the regular menu and #8-9 from the weekend/dinner menu. Overall, the meat quality was decent, but I would definitely recommend ordering from the weekend/dinner menu if it's available. Those selections were noticeably better than the standard options. The service was attentive throughout our meal. The staff checked in regularly and promptly took our next round of meat orders whenever we ran out. You can order up to three items per round for the table. As expected for an AYCE (all-you-can-eat) hot pot restaurant, there were self-serve stations for vegetables, seafood, noodles, and sauces along the back of the restaurant. The vegetables were fresh, and the buffet areas were clean and well maintained. Parking was also convenient since the restaurant is located in a plaza with plenty of other stores and restaurants.

When we arrived on a Saturday night, the restaurant was moderately busy, but the wait wasn't outrageous. Our server did a great job explaining how everything worked. It's 90 minutes of all-you-can-eat for $35.00 per person, and you're allowed to order up to three types of meat per round. The restaurant is set up well. Off to the left is a self-serve station stocked with vegetables, mushrooms, tofu, seafood, and other hot pot essentials. Drinks are also self-serve, and they even have a soft-serve ice cream machine if you want something sweet after your meal. One thing I really appreciated was the variety of hot foods available. They offered items you don't typically find at a standard shabu restaurant, which was a nice surprise. I also noticed a sign explaining that the hot food selection changes regularly, so each visit may offer something a little different. There's also a dipping sauce station where you can customize your sauces exactly how you like them. I ordered the house broth, which had a mild, lingering spice. It added plenty of flavor without leaving that overpowering heat that lingers long after you're done eating. My partner chose the miso broth, which was rich, creamy, and earthy--you really can't go wrong with a good miso broth. The meat is sliced fresh after you place your order, and you can definitely tell the difference. The slices were tender and cooked beautifully in the broth. They also offer four different noodle options. I went with the classic egg noodles this time, but next visit I'll probably try the buckwheat noodles since it's been a while since I've had a good bowl with them. When you're finished, you simply pay near the entrance, making the checkout process quick and easy. My only real complaint was that it was a little difficult to flag someone down when I needed more broth added to my pot. I like keeping enough broth in the pot so it doesn't begin to scorch the bottom, and it took a bit longer than expected to get someone's attention. Other than that, I really enjoyed the overall experience. The staff gives you plenty of space to enjoy your meal without constantly interrupting, making it a great place to catch up with family and friends. The music was at a comfortable volume, allowing conversations and laughter to fill the room without having to talk over loud speakers. One thing to keep in mind if you're coming with a large group: the largest table I saw comfortably seated six people. Since the tables are bolted to the floor, larger parties will likely need to split between multiple tables. Overall, I'd definitely come back. Between the fresh meats, customizable broths and sauces, the rotating hot food selection, and the relaxed atmosphere, All That Shabu is a great spot if you're looking for quality hot pot in a laid-back setting. At $35.00 per person, I thought it was a great value. With tax and tip, our total came to $92 for two people, which felt very reasonable for an all-you-can-eat meal with fresh ingredients and plenty of variety. I'd happily recommend it to anyone looking to enjoy a relaxing hot pot experience with friends or family.

We hadn't come back because our first visit felt very rushed and they didnt have ice & other items that day. This visit luckily was better with items being replenished pretty quickly or on request. Broths: We liked the Tonkatasu and Sukiyaki. I tried the the house, but it didn't have much flavor and I had to add some chili to it for more flavors. I drank more of the tonkatsu broth as a soup since it was so good. A little disappointed they dont offer a spicier soup base for spicy lovers. Meats: We liked the Short plate and chuck eye the best but all of them were good to eat. No issues on our meat orders, you just have the 5 or 6 options for regular menu. Our server was attentive and checked in for refilling our meats pretty timely. We were given last call about 30 minutes before time was supposed to be up. For the price, we felt there are many other places that offer more in the self service area with seafood options and other foods or drinks included. If you're just there for basic hot pot, then this will satisfy you if you don't care for those other items and it would be a 4*. For us, we enjoy the other things we can get at other places for a comparable price and felt there was more to be desired.
