    meats and spicy beef broth
    Angeline N.

I had All That Shabu a really long time ago in Irvine and remember loving it, but there's just so much competition in OC so I haven't been back in years! I tried it again with my friend the other day because we were in the area. I thought it was just okay and probably wouldn't come back here specifically because there's just a lot of better places, but this isn't bad at all for the price. The inside was huge and dimly lit, and they had a large self serve bar for hot sides, drinks, hot pot toppings like veggies and seafood, sauces, and dessert. It was a great vibe! There's a pretty large variety of broths to pick from which is nice. We both got the spicy beef, which tasted rich and tomatoey so it was different than a typical beef bone broth that I expected! It was nice because the acidity helped to balance with the richness of the meats. Of all the meats, our favorites were the brisket and the beef short plate. Personally I like to know which meats are which but sometimes when I asked, the servers couldn't really tell them apart so it kinda sucked because I wanted to know which ones I actually liked to order more of those. They were quick with taking our orders though and meats came out really quick. For hot sides, they had a large variety of things, such as fried rice, crab, crispy fried chicken, kimchi, and more. I liked that there was variety! I just think that overall, the experience didn't wow me as much as it did back then, but definitely cheaper than most places and so you get what you pay for!

Personally i like number 2 for meat it is fatty. Alot of the other meats dont have enough fat in them. But everyone else likes to eat the other ones. For the broth i get bone. Some people get half spicy and half bone. Service was really good. When we were running low on meat they came by to ask if we wanted more. They have a sauce bar where yiu can make your own dipping sauce. Mines consist if garlic, green onion, ponzu and the wasabi green things. The middle sections have veggies, noodles, seafood, etc for your hot pot. They also have fried food at the far right. When the crab legs come out fresh, they are amazing but on the sweet side. Definitely recommend trying it. I forgot to get ice creammm.

I came here with a friend on a Saturday night, and there was about a 30-minute wait. We waited and were seated within that time frame. I honestly can't believe how busy all the AYCE places are on a Saturday night. After we sat down, a server came by to ask which broth we wanted. I asked what was popular, and he recommended the beef bone broth, so I went with that. My friend ordered the spicy beef broth after the server assured her it wasn't too spicy. I ended up finding my broth a bit bland and later added some of the spicy beef broth to give it more flavor. We tried different beef cuts as well as lamb. Honestly, there wasn't a huge difference among the beef cuts, except that the filet mignon was leaner and therefore chewier than the others. The lamb was okay. We ended up eating more from the bar, which included vegetables, seafood, and cooked dishes. I really liked the corn because it was sweet, and I also enjoyed the chrysanthemum greens (tung ho), which I ate a lot of. As for the cooked food, the deep-fried crab was just okay. The highlights were the japchae and the tteokbokki, while the bulgogi wasn't anything special. At the sauce bar, they had a lot of Japanese-style sauces like ponzu, sesame sauce, and wasabi ponzu. Soy sauce and chili oil weren't at the sauce bar but were located near the drink station. Speaking of drinks, the unsweetened green tea and black tea were also bland. They weren't sweet, but they also lacked a strong tea flavor. I'd say the drinks here aren't great unless you're going for soft drinks. They also had rice available in a large rice cooker if you wanted some. For dessert, they offer soft-serve vanilla and chocolate ice cream. My friend tried it and liked it. I had the sesame balls instead, which were okay. Overall, everything here was just alright. With a $34.99 weekend dinner price, I guess it's reasonable given inflation--if you can eat enough to justify it. I did feel like I had to push myself to get my money's worth, so I'd only come back when I'm really hungry and have the appetite for it.

Great all around shabu place. Would recommend coming for the weekend/dinner only meat that includes filet mignon, ribeye, and beef chuck flap cuts. Spacious place and place does get busy. Waitlist in the store. Lots of sides and hot foods to choose from. Plenty of veggies and frozen items for the shabu. Their hot items are tasty and made fresh. You can see them frying the crabs at the counter and preparing their other hot foods. Broth is solid and tasty. Meats here a very thinly sliced and cooks instantly. My favorite was the ribeye. Due to its tenderness and fat ratio. Big sauce options and aromatics to choose from. This plaza gets busy and parking may be hard. Have had their other location in Irvine. Solid shabu place. Host service can be better. Saw customers standing in front a few times and didn't acknowledge new customers coming in. Was not a welcoming experience.

This was definitely a great Hotpot place to go if you love a variety of vegetables if you love tons and tons of meat in your soup. It's a great time if you have plenty of time to do hot pot. I don't recommend this if you don't really eat a lot at hot pot places or if you really like just the one bowl of food this is not it for you but great for groups. Great for people who wanna share. I love the variety. I think my favorite part was the dessert. They offer a soft serve ice cream. Really love the options so many different types of vegetables and if you're looking to get your protein on, this is definitely a great place. I live a high protein diet life and this will get you all your macros. Will get you all your proteins and all your fibers so go now go often!! I love the lunch special pricing by the way. Super solid deal for all that you get. It's really a great time. Great bang for your buck.

Genuinely love this spot for shabu shabu in Alhambra! Their service is quick and super friendly. There's a huge amount of options at the self serve area and the sauce bar as well! Their meat quality is always on point and the portions are good value. Love that I can finish my meal with ice cream at the end too! Super underrated spot!

I've been to All About Shabu several times, and while the soup and meat quality are somewhat still solid, this visit felt a bit underwhelming. Service was just okay. It wasn't as quick or attentive as usual, even though the restaurant wasn't very busy. I've been here during peak times and still received better service, so that was disappointing. What stood out most was the decline in the quality of the warm food items. Still an okay spot for shabu.

Food was alright, I would stick with the short plate, and the sesame sauce was pretty good. Service was honestly pretty bad. The Korean guy with the glasses better be the owner's son, seeing how he ignores tables and presses us for trying to order rounds. Had to flag down someone every time we wanted to order more meat or needed more broth, probably could've gone 30 mins without anyone checking in. They handed us our check after 90 mins and we asked if we could order one last round since we absolutely should've been able to order more frequently throughout the meal. The Korean guy then comes by and questions us for having ordered more rounds. Not sure what this guy's problem is but hope he gets it together

This my family favorite hotpot place. They always have a ton of fresh ingredients for your hotpot. The cooked stuff could be better though as its probably been out in the heating lamp all day and has dried out or gotten hard like their popcorn chicken. But the broth are good and the servers and very efficient and nice. The place is good and not overly expensive for what you get

AYCE Shabu what that gives Vegetarian/Vegans a $5 discount.... That is better than most who don't give discounts at all. The soup bases are good and the veggie offerings are pretty good as well. I've been here a few times now...and don't mind going back. There are so many choices...only thing is this place is such a huge location and I've never seen it have a wait or even filled up.... I definitely will be back though since it is pretty good overall.

If you're looking for a wide variety of items, this is a great hot pot place to go to. I love the self-service aspect of the non-meat items (veggies, seafood, noodles, sauce, etc). Each table can order 3 meats per round. The meat portions are small (but it's all you can eat) so we found ourselves calling the server over quite frequently to order more. Meat quality is just okay. You definitely get what you pay for. Most of the meat didn't have lots of marbling so nothing was "buttery" or "melt in your mouth." At most AYCE restaurants, you sacrifice quality for quantity. This is a great place to go when you want a little bit of everything but don't need super fancy wagyu or other cuts of meat. The $28 AYCE lunch is an unbeatable price!

I came here for Father's Day Sunday dinner with family. (Party of 5) it was very crowded! This place is definitely a hit or miss depending on what day you come. I guess since Father's Day was busy, the time it took to get the meat slices you order was very long which kind of ruined the all you can eat experience for me. But the quality of meat was still good for the price. I tend to order their ribeye cuts a lot as they are tender, but everything is pretty good. I appreciate that they always have lots of sides to get as well and they have daisy crown vegetables which are my favorite. Bone broth went well with the meat!

    Rosa R.

Been wanting to come here for a while, this is "all you can eat." I tried but didn't like the pre-cooked food, except for the noodles, they were OK. I loved all the fresh vegetables, meats and seafood to create my own delicious soup. I loved the miso broth with pork belly meat. There is a station for different sauces. Service was very good. Will definitely be back!

Can you share a meal between 2 people here?

Yes, as long as you pay for 2 people lol

Does this place have waiting list?

Yup, put your name down when you arrive. Need whole party there to seat

    Can you make reservations?

Can one person eat here? Or do does it have to be 2 people or more people together to eat.

Absolutely, solo eaters are totally welcome. The tables are set up as 4 sweaters but worth their own individual burner stations. I've been there several times and often see single diners especially around lunchtime.

    Is the vegetarian broth vegan?

Hi do you have outdoor dining as of December 2022?

No outdoor dining per se. They do have some bench seating but it's for staff last time I was there.

What's the price per person on the weekend? (adult and kid 7yrs). What is best time for weekend dinner?

$31/adult & $16/kid (5-8y/o) or $19/kid (9-10). Best time for dinner is probably before 6/6:30pm, gets crowded around normal dinner rush. Reservations fill up fast too, so might just have to walk-in & wait.

    Do you allow solo diner?

Yes, they do. I've dined here alone several times and they are very welcoming and accommodating of their solo diners. :)

Is there a non ayce option here?

No, the only options are Lunch AYCE or Dinner/Holiday AYCE

    Do you take reservation?

Yes, but only for groups of 6 or more is available. Reservations was almost always available during the daytime on weekdays. It was very good for birthday parties with affordable price and great quality! :)

    That are open.

Is this location still open? Yelp has it as closed and their number does not seem to be working.

yes, just went there yesterday 12/1/21 for lunch..

Today (12/2/2021) I was looking at Yelp and saw that All That Shabu has closed? Is this accurate? I thought this restaurant was popular and profitable. Why did it close?

It is no accurate. I think Yelper report it closed but Yelp hasn't has chance to verify it. It is Still open as of Yesterday 12/2/2021 8:30PM. I went by to check.

Date: July 10, 2026…read more Favorites: Snow Crab Seafood Boil Corn and Sauce Clams Pistachio Almond Ice Cream Milk Tea Experience: My husband was feeling ravenous, so he decided we should give this place a try. We came around 5pm, so we were quickly seated with only a handful of tables occupied. We ordered our drinks and made our way around the location to figure out what they had. They had ice cream and boba tea in the back corner, then came the dim sum options, hot foods, items for the grill, sushi, desserts with a chocolate fountain, and a mixture of cold items, such as fruits, seafood, and more desserts. Right away I got a plate of snow crabs and noticed the seafood boil the had shrimp and corn, so I got one of that as well the clams and some pieces of sushi. The crab legs were easy to open though I did have my husband request for crab cracker to help me with the harder pieces. I definitely preferred dipping the crab meat into the seafood boil sauce than the melted butter they had. The clams were pretty good as well, so I made sure to get a second round of them with the snow crabs. I did dabble in trying other foods, but preferred my seafood combo that I got. Once I had my fill with savory, I tackled the sweets and buffets are always fun to try new desserts but overall my fave was just good ol' pistachio almond ice cream with my milk tea. Overall, a good experience with both the restroom and dining area being clean. Staff was nice, but definitely need to catch their attention for refills and anything else you need that isn't taking away your used plates or the bill cause they were on my for those.

The Hits: - Fire-grilled BBQ station (steak, galbi (short ribs), pork belly, and squid) - Variety of sushi and rolls (average quality for the nigiri) - Dim sum options (popular items that get refilled regularly) - Desserts and fruits - 16 flavors of ice cream - Coffee and boba station The Misses (that I tried) - the orange chicken (flavor was off and bland) - fried chicken wings (looked good and crispy, but they were bland and had no seasoning) Service and staff were great. From taking drinks orders to clearing used plates, they were fairly attentive to everyone in the party. The food was refilled at decent times as well. There were plenty of seniors dining here since there's a special price for seniors. Reservations are recommended for large parties or peak dining times (dinner and weekends). My friend and I were mid-meal when two staff members bussed nearby tables. While clearing leftover dishes, soup and food splatters splashed directly onto my face. I attempted to flag them down to ask them to work more carefully, yet they immediately wheeled their cart away without a single apology. We are both quiet, reserved people and chose not to chase them down at that moment. Later, nearly finished with our meal, we realized two skewers of chicken bone-in skewers we ordered had never arrived. We waved repeatedly to grab servers' attention, but one kept wiping the fridge, while two others stood chatting at the front counter and completely ignored all diners. When we finally caught one server, he did not check the kitchen at all and simply claimed our skewers were still being grilled. We waited another 20 minutes with no sign of our food, then stopped a different staff member to follow up--they vanished and never returned to update us. Another full 20 minutes passed before the skewers finally showed up. It is completely unreasonable for simple grilled skewers to take 40 minutes to prepare, especially when the restaurant was far from busy. The checkout process was the most frustrating part of our visit. We waved multiple times requesting our bill; two servers clearly saw us. A female staff told her male coworker to print checks for our table and the table in front of us, but he only delivered the bill to the other party and left ours unattended for ages. We even submitted a checkout request via their online ordering page and waved again to signal we were ready to pay. The front desk staff only gave us an OK hand gesture but took zero action. We were continuously overlooked for no apparent reason, while all staff stood around idle with no sense of urgency to assist guests. Fed up with waiting indefinitely, we walked over to the front counter to pay ourselves. As we approached, the staff tried to duck off to the kitchen or start random cleaning tasks to avoid handling our payment. The entire team lacks basic customer service training and common courtesy. The consistent disregard for diners, careless table bussing, massive food delays, and negligent checkout handling make this place not worth your time or money. They have lots of seafood, sushi, and sashimi too from rolls to seaweed salad, crab legs, and more! Need a sweet treat? Don't forget about their chocolate fountain with strawberries and marshmallows, popcorn machine, or chocolate and mango cream cups or cake bites. They even have a fungus soup dessert, lychee, oranges, pineapples, jello, banana pudding, and more! Thanks Kami for a great time. Their focus is on quantity over quality but I appreciate the wide variety and still good food overall!

There's a solid variety of options, and you can definitely find something to satisfy whatever you're in the mood for. A few of the fruit and sushi items seemed like they may have been sitting out for a bit, which can happen at buffets, but there were still plenty of other choices to enjoy. The Mongolian grill wasn't running during my visit (I believe it's available during dinner hours), so that's something I'd be curious to try next time. The standout for me was actually the soups -- both the hot & sour soup and the miso soup were flavorful and comforting, and I ended up going back for more. Service was fine: nothing over-the-top, but attentive enough to keep things moving smoothly. All in all, it's a decent, no-frills buffet spot. I'd call it a solid 3-star experience, especially if you're nearby and craving variety in one place.

I could fill-up on their salmon sashimi alone (I definitely get a plate to start with) & be decently satisfied. That said, there's so much here to be pleased with. It's no secret that many buffets have done away with crab legs. Sometimes, I wonder how many populations of crab my family has decimated alone. But I have to admit, during this visit I've literally never seen 2 people put away so many crawfish - (in my humble opinion, the "poor man's lobster"). I'm not trying to exaggerate, but I feel like these 2 people alone put crawfish on the endangered species list. There's a decent variety of Sushi, Asian-American, American, & a grill-to-order-station. The dessert selection has a decent variety of fruits, your standard buffet pastries, & an unmistakable ice cream freezer (to scoop from gallons). Pro-Tip: When scooping ice-cream, it always helps to dip the scooper & rinse it under the running facet - it also helps to prevent cross contamination of different flavors. Another tip: Don't even think of trying to "sneak-in" crab legs onto your plate by only paying the lunch price - the staff always knows who has paid for the extra price of dinner.

Fuji itself was probably like 40-50% occupied and there was plenty of parking. For $37 (and 20% for seniors on Mon/Tues), I thought it was pretty worth for the amount of food we ate. - Korean rib (grill): thinly cut, tender, and nicely marinated (even when you don't ask for any special sauces). so yummy to eat it fresh off the grill - snow crab: i prefer eating this hot than chilled, and it hit the spot! meaty, sweet crab. they refilled this often - cajun seafood: not too salty! includes mussels, shrimps, thin corn cobs which I actually prefer - crawfish: nicely marinated and tasty but dry meat ); parents said the last time they had this here a month ago it was better - salmon sashimi was also restocked and tasted fresh - Fish maw soup/chowder: both were tasty as well - matcha ice cream: yummm - lots of fresh fruit options: blueberries, strawberries, cantaloupe, honeydew, grapes, cherries even Other selections are standard and not bad. Dim Sum is unique but usually not done well so I didn't even bother. Chicken feet isn't bad tho Bathrooms could be cleaner and service was slooow. We maybe saw our waiter like 3 times? He only cleared our plates once and he never offered us water refills, which we had to actively flag him down for. It wasn't busy as it was a Monday and we were the only table in that seating area (lower level by the Mongolian grill)

They have a lot of tables inside so it is great for small and large groups. The waiters were also fast even though they were busy. We ordered their Kung Pao Chicken, Fried Tofu, Beef Noodle, Shrimp w Walnut, and Vegetable w Garlic. We decided not to get lobster since it was pricey. They took our order pretty fast and gave tea to drink. The pot of white rice is extra $1 if you order though. And their menu book doesn't have prices for some reason. Only the to-go menu has prices. Food was served in a decent amount of time, around 15 minutes. And all dishes arrived close together so we didn't have to wait long. The kung pao chicken is so good! Not spicy at all and very nice and crispy with good seasoning. It tasted delicious with some rice. The beef noodles were also delicious! It had good wok taste and was very flavorful. The tofu and shrimp were also good. None of the dishes were too salty and all were seasoned well and in pretty big portions, though I don't remember the exact price since they took the receipt away when we paid. But the meal was very worth and we had leftovers for lunch the next day. Such a yummy meal! I really enjoyed it! I am definitely coming back again!
