It was also a little cramp feeling and things didn't feel very clean. The food was standard, but if you like spicy mala, theirs is very spicy. Almost everything was self served as well so why am I forced to pay a mandatory 18% when there was little to no service? Bit confusing here. First timer. Podium to put your tel# down was a bit hidden. Nobody up front to greet you. They didn't even text when table was ready. They just pointed and walked us to the table. The guy didn't even say anything, pointed at the QR code, and left, We didn't wait long, but where we waited is where the appetizer station is. Was it for the people waiting? Or free to people who dine? I scanned the code and there wasn't much on there. The soups, some dishes, drinks, and dessert. What about the skewers and stuff? We waited for somebody to come by. Another server runs across as I try to ask. He basically said to order the soup on the app and pick your skewers and bowls from the fridge. We ordered the split bowl ($16.99) with beef tallow, mild and beef bone broth. The tallow one was anything but mild! I can take the heat, but my friend cannot. We had to sit there another 5 minutes to watch what other people were doing. We didn't even know where to get the trays. Everything in the fridge was labeled in Chinese. At least my friend and I are adventurous and just picked. We didn't know half of what we ate. Skewers are $0.49 and bowls are $5.99. Some of the skewers had two skewers in them. Which of course made them $0.98 each. IDK if all bowls were $5.99 or certain size were different prices. Once again, the guy who I asked just pointed to the sign and signs are in Chinese. If you want the sauce bar, you need to add it on the app, but how would they know we got sauce or not? Nobody came by to ask how we were. Only one lady came to refill our water pitcher. We did get appetizers, self serve. We just guessed that it was unlimited. The chicken feet were the best out of the limited selection. Oh the cucumbers too. But you did have to dodge the people waiting and the in and out coming traffic. All in all, Food was good. I feel like I missed out on something, though. Once we were done, I hit the checkout button on the app. That was the fastest any server showed up to the table.
