Love this unassuming place. Get there early so that you can sit at the bar where you get a great view of the chef doing their magic. Definitely coming back to do the omakase. Drinks were great, we had the Ultraman and the old fashion. My friend gave Cam our bartender freedom to surprise her on her second drink and it came out so good. It made it even better that he had a Thornhill shirt on. Every bite of food was perfect. We had the bluefin tartar, waygu gyoza, hamachi kama, pressed salmon sushi and the donuts. The fish was fresh and prepared so well. If there wasn't so many other things to try on the menu, I would order all of these again.
We brought my dad to Jujus the other day as a treat. They can get pretty crowded but we picked the sweet spot around 5. Our server was so sweet and really made the experience even better. The atmosphere is very chill and I feel pretty immersed. It's funny bc it's a renovated Pizza Hut thus their Jujus signature drink in the Pizza Hut cup. It was a whiskey drink and once I gave it a good stir to mix the flavors it was really good! The fish was fresh and tasty. However, if you don't like curry maybe don't get the tempura it kinda through me off but the seasoning on there was A++ I even bought a t shirt. They should sell those cups I bet they'd sell a ton!!
Stopped in after 9p on a Friday for late dinner. Waited probably 10 mins for a table. We have been here a few times but it's been almost a year. We got some of our usual dishes. The karaage, skewers and chirashi. We tried the pressed sushi and did the half and half. Half tuna and half salmon. It was ok. For dessert we squeezed in the donuts. They were good. My favorite was the brown sugar sauce. Our waitress was Skye and she was awesome! Juju is still one of our go to spots!
The place is small, they don't take reservations. It's a first come first serve.. Monday night at 8 o'clock in the evening we have to wait 40 minutes. It's a small plate restaurant. The chicken skin was good. The pork belly skewers tender and a little salty for my taste. The egg rolls was a little mushy inside The sushi was disappointing. The rice was crumbling and too expensive for the quality.
To start, this is a beautifully decorated space with memorabilia and decor that is overwhelming, but in a good way. Our server was so sweet and willing to answer our questions, and made suggestions based on our preferences. We only grabbed a few things, but I will definitely be back again! The fish was super fresh, and the plating is like art. Absolutely loved my experience here!
Went here for a celebratory dinner and I was blown away by this unique experience. Upon entering I immediately noticed how cool the decore and ambiance of the restaurant is. Felt like I was transported right to Japan! The restaurant itself is smaller in size. I went on a week night for dinner and did not have to wait, however I can imagine during the weekends it can get filled. As for the food, some of the most delicious, unique food in all of Orlando, without a doubt. While the portion sizes are on the smaller and pricey (only reason for removing one star), it's great for a tapa styled dinner where you and friends order several plates and share among the table. I had the mentaiko udon, char-grilled tako salad, wagyu gyoza, and the tuna katsu. The udon noodles were so fresh and fish eggs provided a very unique texture. The char grilled tako salad was probably the most unique food I had there. While I love octopus, I've never had it full length leg like it was here. I will say it was hard to rip apart, so I ended up biting into each leg full, which was a bit awkward at times, but it was still delicious and tasty. The tuna was very fresh. Hands down my favorite item of the night was the wagyu gyoza. Unfortunately no picture of this item because the plate was gone in seconds! Only wish there was more gyoza in a serving. Will definitely be back! And it is great restaurant if cost is not a worry to you.
Fantastic food, creative menu, casual atmosphere, and good vibes. If you're familiar with Susuru, Juju is its cousin/sibling. Offering an "a la carte" menu in the Izakaya dining room; and an Omakase experience at their Kappo bar (reservation needed). Excellent cocktails and craft beers to enjoy with your Japanese charcoal-fired dishes. Highly Recommend!
Love this spot! We are always pleasantly surprised by this location that moved into what was once a stand alone Pizza Hut. The parking lot is a bit finicky as you'll need to park nearby to Target with the shared lot that is pretty busy at times, but that is really the only negative thing I can say. Once you walk into the restaurant you are taken in by the theming and decor right away. The servers are always quick to greet you and within a short time have you seated and provided with a menu of the offerings. Haven't yet had something we didn't like, but I especially enjoy the chicken skewer and the dumplings. Yakitori is a MUST. They have some fun specialty cocktails that are unique to their location, so I'd suggest giving those a look if you are interested in an adult beverage. Overall: A+ It's easy to understand why this spot has great reviews and a local following! Give them a go and fall in love with the space.
Been wanting to hit this place for a long time. I have been to their sister spot down near Universal. Susuru. We got here as they opened and sat at the bar. Best seats in the house. This is a small plates type of place so we orders up a few to share. Waygu Harumaki was a good portion but a bit greasy for me. Tempura Yasai was a large portions d well done. The curry sauce underneath it all was a hidden star. Oshizushi (pressed sushi) was the star. We had the combo so we could try both preparations. I lied the salmon due the richness of the avocado with the dried mushrooms and roe on top. My son liked the tuna preparation. Tried the King Ghidorah cocktail. Very refreshing. Protip. Happy hour is not a thing on a Friday night. During the week some very good deals my son tells me. Staff was very friendly and attentive.
I wanted to try Juju independently of knowing that it was Susuru's sister restaurant, but when I found out that was the case, I wasn't surprised at all. It's a super vibey spot featuring lots of small plates, so it's nice to just get a small group together and try a bunch of things. We got the Matcha mule - this drink was really good and refreshing but low-key stronger than I thought it would be. I wish the coconut milk flavor was a little stronger though. Ultraman - also really good, and has a nice bittery citrus aftertaste. Negima skewer - one of my faves of the night! The chicken was so juicy and flavorful. Teba wings - I liked the filling of these a lot, but the chicken part was just fine. It was fun to eat though. Mentaiko udon - the portions noodlewise of this were smaller than expected unfortunately. But of what you do get, you get a good amount of ikura and roe, resulting in a really creamy and salty (in a good seafood way) udon. So this was also a fave. Chicken karaage - this was also really good! They give a lot of chicken, and the outsides are really crispy, but the insides aren't dry. However, I wish they gave bigger pieces of lemon and a lot more sauce. Chashu gohan - Rice, sauce, pork belly, and egg yolk. Can't really go wrong with that! I really like the flavoring and the pork belly was so tender and delicious. It practically melted into the rice. Gohan - if you're gonna get a gohan, I would say just get the chashu one. This one is good but so plain when compared to the other. Tuna katsu - this dish was interesting. But idk if I would get it again. I like when my raw fish is cold, but after the katsu fry its more room temperature. And the sauce is good but so mild. Since the fish flavor is also so mild, it would have been nice to have something contrasting or something bright to pick up the flavors, like the way soy sauce or wasabi would. Momo skewer - also delicious. Chicken was still juicy.
This is for the Hikiniku Lunch Pop-Up! Wow, what an experience. Chef Lewis Lin literally cooked with this special pop-up. The whole experience was a foodie's dream, and we were so lucky to snag a reservation when they were available. Decadent Wagyu hambagu, grilled to perfection over charcoal -- it's such a simple dish, but it packs so much flavor, depth, and richness. The first one, you eat alone to enjoy the flavor and determine if you want to eat anything else with it; the second you eat with rice and egg, with the option to get any additional add-ons. I loved picking through all the sides -- there was such a variety and everything tasted light and fresh. I particularly enjoyed the potato salad, braised eggplant, and yuzu jam. The meal also came with a Wagyu soup and melon sorbet at the end! The soup was light, but hearty; and was very satisfying. Melon sorbet is also such a perfect summer treat, and was the perfect end to a fantastic lunch. We left absolutely stuffed. If they do this again, I highly recommend going.
Last night I finally got a spot at the Kappo bar and did the sake pairing with it. What an incredible experience. The fish is aged, which is something unique that I've never seen before. I cannot think of a single thing that could be improved on; the service was perfect, the food tasted as wonderful as it looked and the sake pairing did pair very nicely with the food. I love the vibe in Juju, and the decor. I'm not sure how many pics I can do since this is an update, so I'm going to leave out the sake pics. Plan in advance and get to the kappo bar! read more
I finally checked out this place after wanting to go for a while now. The customer service was great. The food was delicious. I ordered the Mentaiko Udon, which had a rich and creamy sauce that paired well with the briny spicy cod roe and ikura. It's a great, unique dish that I haven't come across anywhere else. I also tried the Hatsu(heart) yakitori and the Hiza Nankotsu(knee) yakitori. Both were cooked well and came with lemon and salt that went well with the meats. Both tasted very good, it's a matter of preference as to which is better. The restaurant is decorated a lot like Susuru, with plenty of interesting Japanese-themed items. I didn't try any drinks this time but the options looked really good and I'll have to try one next time. read more
Environment is a lovely old vintage Japanese aesthetic. Seating is lovely and service was quick consistent as well which is expected. Great place for small eats with friends or your date ! Ordered a "That Old Pizza Hut" cocktail which honestly tasted like a sweeter version of an Old Fashion with whipped cream on top. Ordered the "Mentaiko Udon" Bowl that includes spicy cod roe, sake, butter, and the marinated egg. It overall tasted so fresh and light that ties so well with the sweet yet savory taste of the "cream". Appetizers/Snacks: Mentaiko Fries - Always order these!! Fries are topped with spicy cod roe mayo that we ask extra of along with nori as a finish. Char Grilled Tako Salad - Octopus grilled with seasonal greens and a lovely vinaigrette to finish off as a lovely dressing. Octopus was tender, overall very citrusy and refreshing as a salad. Meat Skewers: Beef Tenderoin - Recommended! Topped with nicely chopped onions(?). Meat was cooked nicely(rare/medium rare) which felt like it dissolved when chewed a few times. Beef Tongue - Recommended! Meaty, tender, & such a beautiful beefy flavor that felt addicting. Chicken Momo(thigh) - Recommended! Presents such a juicy meat which also has crispy skin . Overall, me and my girlfriend loves coming here as a date. Juju never fails as a spot to have righteous eats. :) read more

First time coming to Juju, didn't have to wait at all. First thing, cute decor inside, Japanese theme, very interesting, unique concept, really enjoy it. Drinks came quickly and tasty, we got Real Ori ega and ULTRAMAN 2.0, each $14, which is pretty standard in Orlando. Lots of interesting options in the cocktail menu as well. We started with skewers and susuru gohan (rice with an egg). Chicken skewers are seasoning perfect, and flavorful, needed to order a bunch of skewers, ranges around $3-$5. Chicken karaage came pretty slow (not sure why, order as appetizers but came after we finished almost everything). The white sauce came with it very yummy, crispy chicken too. Finally gave Juju a visit, a big fan of Susuru so I knew what was coming. I love how everything was decorated in the restaurant, very unique with the Japanese retro theme. I will never get tired of the Mentaiko Fries and I always make sure to ask for extra sauce on the side. As for my entree, I ordered the Mentaiko Udon which comes with spicy cod roe, uni, sake, butter and marinated egg yolk. It was very creamy with the sauce and fits so well with the udon. We ordered some skewers and one of them was over cooked and a bit burnt. Our waiter gave us another one and didn't charge us. Andy was our waiter and he is an amazing person. It was celebrating my 21st and he gave me a matcha cocktail which isn't on the menu yet as well as taro soft serve with a lighted candle. The cocktail was sweet and for someone that doesn't like the taste of alcohol, it was perfect. It even comes with rock candy. As for the taro serve soft, it tasted smooth and great to finish off our meal. The surprise was the sweetest thing and made my experience 10x better as they acknowledge it was a special day. Overall, the service, ambiance and food was phenomenal. It's a place with small plates which makes it great to share and try different things. Would definitely come back! read more

Food was so great and beautiful! Our waitress was so kind and prompt for all of our needs. It's great that this place can accommodate for large groups. Loved the old-school, retro, Japanese feel. We ordered more things but I totally forgot to take a picture because I got too excited to eat it! We also got the hamachi Kama (yellowtail collar) that was perfectly fried. Skewers were juicy, the assortment of sashimi tasted so fresh, and the udon was my favorite! read more

I love the vibe of this place. Me and my husband got a chance to check out this spot and it gives you that Japan vibe even before entering the restaurant. I really wanna try Susuru but when we go its always pack so I'm glad this place gives us the chance to finally try their food. they did an amazing job with the interior decoration and staff are very welcoming. We went there on a friday night around 10pm, so we only have an hour before they close but they still accommodate us and give us time to decide what we want to order without feeling rushed. for drinks we got 2 cocktail drinks. Murasaki no ame- this is my drinks. It looks pretty but its strong. if you like strong looking girly drink then this is your drink! Its sweet with gin so you'll surely feel the kick. Juju old fashioned- bourbon, apple and sugar. Mg husband enjoyed it and its pretty strong too. for food, I got random yakitori. I got one of each momo, hatsu, beef tenderloin, hatsu, negima, pork belly wrapped lettuce, pork belly wrapped shishito. Meat is well marinated, good texture and taste delicious! My husband ordered the chirashi in masu box, its assorted sashimi with rice. It taste good as well but next time will skip this and just order more yakitori and tried other food in the menu. I have been wanting to visit Juju for some time now and finally got around to it. I ordered a variety of different things off the menu and was extremely impressed. The staff were brilliant, and welcomed everyone as they walked through the door. Plenty of seating, with great decor throughout the restaurant. Would absolutely recommend visiting if you haven't already! I will add that it may be an idea to bring a sweater as the AC was a little cold! read more
Meet Orlando's go to place. Everytime I have visitors,I always take them to either here or Susuru (Juju's sister restaurant) for yummy Japanese RETRO IZAKAYA food. Go for Happy hour if you can because it's so good for the price. Our go to must get are the MENTAIKOFRIES (ask for extra sauce on the side), SUSURU CHASHU GOHAN with the soy glazed yolk and yummy yakitori to eat with. Our fav at this location was the pork jowl. They also have Uni Udon and it's sooooo creamy and delicious. A must try for sure! Uni are usually always a hit a miss but the ones we had were fresh and perfection Another honorable mention is the chicken karaage. Just the right amount of crips read more

The theme is retro japan, the customer service is top notch, and the food is sooo good! Unless you go for the omakase, their menu options are all bar style foods, as in they come in smaller portions like appetizers. Me and my husband really love their yakitori and kushiyaki options, and I am obsessed with their chashu gohan with an egg every time! read more

This is such a unique spot and one of our favorite places for authentic Japanese cuisine. Although it's considered 'tapas' style, the portions are surprisingly generous. The layout and atmosphere are incredible--it truly feels like you've been transported into Japanese culture. Highly recommend! read more
Wow, I'm so happy to have Juju on this side of town! I love Susuru, but it's definitely a trek for me. They did a great job remodeling the old Pizza Hut building and giving it that retro Japanese gastropub feel. After getting to try their incredible Kappo Bar (omakase) experience, I was excited to finally check out their Izakaya dining room this past week. The menu features a variety of small plates, raw items, yakitori (grilled chicken skewers), craft cocktails. & more. My husband and I ordered a bunch of items to share along with two of their specialty cocktails -- the Japanese Old Fashioned & Layover in Tokyo. We love the presentations of the drinks and they were both delicious. Some of our favorite bites were the: Mentaiko Fries (spicy cod roe mayo + nori) Hamachi Kama (grilled yellowtail fish collar -- cooked perfectly & fell right off the bone) Susuru Gohan (mini rice bowl -- great to accompany any skewers you order) Wagyu Maki (AMAZING -- melts in your mouth like butter) Scallop Carpaccio (creamy yuzu miso -- citrusy & refreshing) Toro Tartar (Beautiful raw dish & a generous portion) Beef Tenderloin Skewer (Kushiyaki) We honestly enjoyed everything we tried and we were absolutely stuffed. I'd probably skip the beef skewers next time since we really just enjoyed the other snacks & raw offerings. I'd also like to try their yuzu street corn & pork belly wrapped mushrooms next. I was there last night with my friend to try out this restaurant! I heard about it but finally got a chance to come! We did not want to take our chance so we were there around 510 pm when they are opening at 530. We waited right outside the door and want to be sure to be able to get in. At 530 when it opened, there is about 5 groups of guests including us. Once you walked in, you are emerged into the world of Japanese old toys! I love the decorations and decors! It is very old school Japan! All the signs and lanterns are so cool! So much to look at. The staff are very friendly. Our server came to us fairly quickly and since it was my first time, she explained to us that everything was prepared after we ordered so it may take a little longer got get to us and just prepped us for the wait time! We ended up ordering black sesame tofu, Japanese pancake as appetizers, then thigh and ribeye grilled, Susuru gohan bowl, susuru chashu gohan bowl. I also have green tea! The green tea is so good! Then the food finally came! It looks so good and the taste are out of this world! Black sesame tofu is sweet and savory! The pistachios added additional crunch to the soft and silky tofu and black sesame sauce on top! The grilled thigh (momo yakitori) is very yummy that is two big pieces with skin on it! It is a very fulfilling bite! Then I have the ribeye one ( ribeye kushiyaki) it is just cooked and the inside is a little red but perfect texture! Then I went on to my susuru chashu gohan, it has chopped chashu, green onions, red pickled ginger, rice and some sauces! It is an amazing combination. Then here came the Japanese pancake (okonomiyaki) It is filled with cabbages and all the yummy sauces, delicious! Overall it is an amazing dinner and I cannot wait to come back and try something else!!! read more
Went there for a date night. We didn't have reservation for Friday night, but we were seated right away at the bar. Cute little place that gives you cool Japanese vibes. Tried a couple of things based on top items listed in Yelp. Chirashi in masu box is really good! The rice susuru gohan was not really cook well. Maybe it was just an off night. The rest of the items we tried were good, but not really something that we have to get again. I'll go back and bring visitors because of the cool decor...and the drinks! Great unique drinks read more
This place was so cool. The inside gives the same retro laid back feeling as when you walk into the first Susuru location. I was also pretty blown away with the service since it was the soft opening. As for the food; delicious! The Susuru Gohan was super tasty and the Yakitori was life changing. I don't say that lightly. Next time I will definitely try the other skewers. The plates were fairly small for the most part so plan for that! The fried chicken dish in the appetizer portion was actually pretty large though and definitely filled us up. The menu is limited but there are still plenty of items left that I can't wait to try for next time! read more

5 stars all around. I've eaten at the Kappo bar for the dry aged omakase experience, as well as the normal dining room and both are incredible. The host is always friendly and welcoming, the ambiance is always playful and light, and the food is always fresh and delicious. They have a wide selection of fun drinks, my personal favorites being the Mt Fuji and the Matcha Mule. The food portions are generous for the price considering the quality of the ingredients they use. Many of the dishes come with heaps of fresh uni and ikura - truffle can be added too. The dishes are tapas style so they are not full entree sized, but you can mix and match to build a complete and exceptional meal, customized to your choosing. One of my favorite dishes in Orlando is Juju's creamy Mentaiko udon, topped with egg yolk and ikura. I constantly find myself craving these noodles. The serving could be enough for one but I also recommend paring this dish with any of the grilled meat options such as the chicken meatball which is large and juicy. The susuru gohan rice bowls are another great option and safe bet for the less adventurous eater, which can come with or without pork belly or egg yolk. They have a wide selection of raw appetizers and hot snack appetizers too. I've had most of the items on the menu and I have never been disappointed. Juju has become my new regular spot and it's high on my list of restaurant recommendations for anyone visiting Orlando, or locals looking for something out of the ordinary. Wow! Have been passing Juju for months and finally dined in. Came with a group of friends and we ordered a little bit of everything. Everything was so good! The Matcha Mule was delicious and my favorite plate was the pressed tuna. Loved the chicken thigh yakitori too. Our server, Alex, was amazing and so cool. Gave us great recs and helped us find great options. read more
Great soft opening preview. Reservations only. Very fun experience and very trendy experience. I love how they decorated the place to make a retro izakaya concept. There is also a 6-seat kappo bar experience you can sign up on resy for. It is a 10-course meal. We opted for the izakaya experience with all the yakitori I could eat. Pace yourself because the protein is very filling. The meats had an amazing char taste to it and the seasoning was on point. Just needed some carbs but Im sure when they have their full menu it will include it. Definitely a must try in the Orlando area and can't wait to go back soon! read more

Second Review: Well damn. We were so excited to come back after our first visit. The second visit was a tremendous disappointment. We ordered a total of 6 small plates and waited about 2 hours for all food to arrive. While I appreciate the artistry, you just can't leave guests waiting on tiny wooden stools for two hours while they wait on two 1/2 ears of street corn. First Review: We have brushed this place off for far too long. "That's very clearly a Pizza Hut," has been uttered many times. But this place is NO Pizza Hut. Inventive and delicious (and unique) food, impeccable service, and quirky ambiance have won us over. We can't wait for our next visit to Juju! read more
3.5-4 stars We were continuing our expedition of exploring Japanese snack/bar food. We loved the ambiance of this restaurant, looks like a little Japanese izakaya. We got the following: Beef tenderloin skewer: 4 chunks of juicy, savory beef Tongue: good but not amazing. I felt like it needed something besides salt to make the flavors memorable. Wagyu dumplings: as a dumpling it's fine. But you don't really get to appreciate much wagyu flavor or texture when it's made into a dumpling. I can't get enough of Juju. The quality of the food is amazing and they have a great variety of fish and meats to eat from. My favorite raw fish plate is the chirashi box. They are not stingy when it comes to this box. The amount of fish and tobiko in the box is abundant. My other favorite plate is the Mentaiko Udon. It's a hearty dish that is just like a carbonara but an Asian version. The gyoza dumplings are a great starter. Super juicy and packed with flavor when you bite in. All the meats on the skewers are also very tasty. I like going for the chicken heart and the pork tenderloin. For drinks my favorite ones are the matcha mule and the king ghidorah. read more
So excited to try this place after loving susuru for the past few years !! The decor is cozy along with the bar / drinking area which has couches to sit and an open view of the kitchen. The walls are also lined with lots of decor to look at while waiting-- and be prepared to wait! We had a reservation for the dining room and waited an hour for a table bc it was pretty packed on a Friday. While waiting we had a Belgian beer which tasted light and fruity. Then we ordered wagyu, tartare, scallops, karaage, and fries! Everything was delicious even for me, and I'm not much of a raw fish person. The scallops were covered in a light lemony sauce, and tartare had a deep savory marinade at the bottom. Also definitely get the wagyu bc the balance between fatty meat, light avocado and perfectly chewy rice is to die for !! Overall tbh I do prefer susuru menu bc I'm more of a ramen than sushi type of person, but I would definitely come back for the atmosphere and extremely friendly service. I had somewhat of high expectations with JuJu because Susuru is pretty awesome. This soft opening let me down a little bit. The place makes you feel you are in the streets of japan. There is no sign outside of the building so it might easy to miss. It is the old pizza hut building. But remodeled. Once you enter it is a smaller space than susuru. But has a more spacious lounge waiting area with a large louis vuitton luggage and above is a big screen TV playing japanese videos. This eatery is rsvp only via online. This restaurant is smaller than Susuru. However the ambience is similar with the decor. Only thing is there is a big screen tv at the waiting area and the bar is a wrap around which caters for the guests who choose omakase style dining aka Kappo bar. Menu is small due to it is still in soft opening status. No dessert offering on the menu. There is also a drink menu. Ordered the following: Negima - Chicken Thigh With Scallions Yakitori Fried Yasai - Vegetable Tempura Crunchy Prawn - Crispy Cold Water Prawn With Butter Sauce The Yakitori that was served today wasn't as good as how they serve it at Susuru. This was tad salty and not as juicy. The fried shrimp was okay. I think it's pretty much shrimp tempura but how they make the batter has more crunchies to it. The butter sauce was bland. And the vegetable tempura, had similar batter as the shrimp but lighter coating. It was topped with tempura crunchies which can make the table messy if you bite onto the vegetables. No tempura sauce served. Service is awesome - Drinks were filled. The lemonade was not as sweet coming from a fountain. It tasted better than Susuru. The glasses they serve the water and drinks are small size but refilled quick. I wasn't impressed really with the menu food items and I would give them another chance once a full menu is revealed. So far Susuru is still my favorite as far as food items go. Susuru have better food options and the menu items are better and tastes better by far. read more

This might be one of my favorite places to go to in Orlando! Sister restaurant to the already popular Susuru, this location is a little more accessible and less touristy. Is it still busy? Yes. Is a wait required? Absolutely. But it is definitely worth it. Coming here is the closest I'll get to a Japanese Izakaya without going to Japan. The people working here are super friendly and the food is creative and delicious. I love a good mix of shareable and individual items. Coming with a group of at least 4 people allows you to try a variety of items on the menu. Some of my favorites include the grilled pork collar, which is salty and juicy, perfect with an ice cold beer. The okonomiyaki was nice and thick, with a crispy bottom and delicious texture and flavor throughout. The Karaage was also crunchy and crispy on the outside while staying tender on the inside. Good drinks its a shame they dont have the fries cuz thats my fav thing but o well wat can u do right anyway they do have good drinks nd other stuff u can try instead id say go defiantly ask for the spider man Pizza Hut cocktail its mad good read more
Stepping into JUJU, I was immediately impressed by the lightning-fast service. The staff seemed to have mastered the art of efficiency. The ambiance of the restaurant had a vibrant and bustling feel, reminiscent of the lively street food stalls in Japan. It created a lively and enjoyable dining experience, further complemented by the quick and attentive service. However, I must admit that the fries were a bit of a letdown. Having tried their sister restaurant (SUSURU) addicting fries before, my expectations were high, but unfortunately, the ones we had here fell short. They were disappointingly dry and lacked the flavorful punch that I had been hoping for. Our group used to get 3 bowls of fries and would fight for the last one, and unfortunately we didnt even finished half of the first order of fries. They were overcooked and way too crunchy and got served cold. Fortunately, the Pork Chasu Gohan more than made up for the fries' shortcomings. The dish was a delightful blend of tender pork chasu and perfectly cooked rice, coated in a delectable sweet soy sauce. The combination of savory and sweet notes was absolutely mouthwatering, and each bite left me craving more. While the fries may have left something to be desired, the star of the show, the Pork Chasu Gohan, stole my heart with its rich and satisfying flavors. If you're looking for a fast-paced meal with some delicious Japanese street food flair, this restaurant is definitely worth a visit. This establishment get 10s across the board. The food was amazing the wyagu gyozas and beef tenderloin were cooked to perfection, the perfect blend or fat, salt and was so savory. The old fashioned was nice i drink old fashioneds all of the city and this was a solid competitor. The STUFFED WINGS, were delicious i ended up ordering 3 more servings. Clean, great service in general nice place for a small group outing, (there was 6 of us the first time I went) The music was amazing right before i left they were playing the Japanese version of the intro track to Yu Yu Hakusho and i was jamming out! I was lucky enough to score a reservation for Juju's soft opening. I've been to the Susuru location out in West Orlando but this one is so close to my home so I was super excited to go. Such cute retro Japanese decor and toys all over the place. They had a very limited menu for the soft opening but everything was so good, so I know the items were specially picked for it. The prawns are sooo good- I've never had it with the shell on before but it was so tasty and that butter sauce that compliments it was perfect together. Each Yakitori skewer that we had was full of flavor. We tried all the chicken ones and one beef tenderloin, which was so tender. Can't wait to go here again and try more items on their menu! read more
Juju was an absolute delight. Once I was okonomiyaki as a dish served, I knew all the other dishes would match the ame level of deliciousness. Although the seating is limited, we were sat quickly. Our server was extremely knowledgeable with everything on the menu. Everything is served in smaller bowls but just the onkonomiyaki can feel you up. We also had the susurró gohan bowl which was a decent size and multiple yakitori (skewer) options. Everything that came out was amazing. They have a full bar and the drinks were top notch as well. Although it gives a more casual environment inside with the creative and unique toy museum like displays at the front, they do have a 6-seat limited Kappo Bar that looks incredible. read more
Such a cute lil spot in town! I've been a huge fan of their sister restaurant Susuru over by I-Drive so I'm glad they opened up something closer for us locals! I forgot to take pictures because we were eating everything as they were setting it down lol All of the Yasaimaki we tried was great, my favorite was the shishito peppers and we tried the gyoza to start. We shared a lot of random plates and got to try a bit of everything, which is my favorite way to eat with friends :) But I love that they pay homage to the Pizza Hut building they reside in now. Honestly incredible. We have been twice and we will certainly be back. Service is friendly and fast. There's usually a wait for a table, but worth it. Such a cool location inside and out. Here's what we got: Drinks: Matcha cocktail (off menu) - So nice I ordered it twice. Not too much of a matcha flavor, but enough to give it some flavor. That Old Pizza Hut cocktail- My husband got this and really liked it, but said he would've preferred it at the end like dessert due to the whip cream. Stoned in Manhattan Cocktail - it's a cocktail with Wagyu fat in it. It's what you'd expect. My husband was not a fan, but the rest of the table were all happy we got to try a sip because it was certainly interesting. Food: Chicken Karaage - lots of chicken. It's great for any picky eaters joining you, but also great regardless. Wagyu Gyoza - SOO good! Chirashi in Masu Box - really great and well made, but not my favorite thing. My husband loved it though. Hamachi Crudo - A must try if you like raw fish. I did not want to share this one, but also wanted everyone at the table to try how good it was. Shoyu Smoked Duck - OMGG cooked to perfection and the duck was soft and buttery. One of the favorites at our table. Persimmon Scallop - I liked this one, but it was not at the top of my list. Our party of three arrived three minutes before opening but there were already 10-15 people ahead of us. However, the line moved quickly and they were able to seat most of the people ahead of us and we were only second on the list. There is a comfy and atheistic waiting area but we were promptly seated and served within 10min. The server was very friendly and helpful with the menu and we got our food relatively quickly. The only thing that took a long time was the Pork Belly Wrapped Mushrooms (which we got when we finished the rest of the food). The Mentaiko Fries reminded me of McDonalds fries topped with spicy cod roe mayonnaise. Crispy, salty, and addicting- just how I like it! All the skewers were amazing! The only mention is that for the Pork Belly Wrapped Mushrooms, the meat was seasoned beautifully but the mushrooms tasted a bit plain. The Susuru Gohan was so good. The saltiness of the egg and furikake with the rice was so delicious and I will definitely come here again just for that. The overall ambiance was very cozy and I really liked the aesthetic of the restaurant. This place is pretty fast paced and brings out food as it's ready which I really liked. The only thing is that because of the menu, it's really more of a place to drink with very unique snackies so there were a couple of loud drunk people but that also kinda fit with the theme and it wasn't too disruptive.
