Their crab cakes are delicious as well but these fish and chips were out of this world fresh, flavorful and the batter was perfection not too thick and just right, served with coleslaw and tarter sauce and delicious fries. We sat by the bar and Molly the bartender was very attentive and bubbly and knew her selections of beer and what to go for and all. The service is the same and quick. We came at lunch time and was a bit full so there was room at the bar and was first come first served. The ambiance here is great, you can people watch thru the window and see all the cruise ships and have a quick bite to eat and enjoy the fun music and ambiance is great. Will def be back when we come back to Alaska this is the place to grab a bite to eat.. thanks for a wonderful experience.

We were promptly seated. Several customers were there so place appeared busy. We were on a time crunch so ordered the crab cakes and king crab legs. Both items came out in reasonable time. The $21 crab cakes were not great and had significant breading (2/5 stars). The $119 two piece king crab served with clarified butter was excellent and tasty (5/5 stars). They give you the appropriate utensils and pickers to cut the claws open. Overall good experience but wish I could've tried more items in the menu. Would return when I'm in the area!

The salmon in the poke bowl was the standout for me. It was so fresh, silky, and practically melted in your mouth. All of the ingredients in the bowl tasted fresh and came together perfectly. The halibut fish & chips were delicious too! The batter was perfectly crunchy while the inside stayed soft and flaky, and you could really taste how fresh the halibut was. Even the fries were really good and well seasoned. The oysters were also super fresh and did not disappoint. I definitely recommend Woadie's over some of the busier restaurants in the area. The atmosphere is casual and unique--the building is open-air with no walls, so you get plenty of fresh air while still having shade overhead. You simply order at the window, grab a table, and enjoy your food. Fresh seafood, great ambience, and a laid-back atmosphere. Definitely worth a stop!

The crab legs were so fresh and so delicious (better than the famous Tracy's crab legs in Juneau in my humble opinion). We ordered 2 orders of the king crab leg that was longer than our forearms. The fries that came with them were so so delicious with a seasoning that I haven't had before. Kind of barbecuey! And even better with malt vinegar on top. The coleslaw was very good too!!! The local beer and ciders on tap were great. The S spruce tip though had us order an other pretty quickly!! And a local specialty. My mom ordered the chowder. It was potato heavy and had small lumps of seafood. I don't think we would recommend this item. The hostess at this location was so awesome too. We even got merch a glass to commemorate our best meal in Alaska!

Solid place to grab some lunch while docked in Skagway…read more The place has a mix of indoor and outdoor seating. During the summer months when able to sit outside, you are blessed with some amazing views. All of the food is good and the staff are friendly. My halibut fish basket came with 2 pieces of fish. While the fish was pretty thick, it was not overwhelming and the batter wasn't too thick. They give you a ton of fries. If you order an entree that comes with fries, no need to order the appetizer version So, if you've been cruising all week and need a break from shop food - this place is a solid pick.

We weren't there for a typical meal, we did a culinary and Alaskan gardening class. These two things happen to be my all time favorite pass times. I learned so much from nearly every staff member I came into contact with. Their pastry chef taught us so much about bread making and the science behind it and was incredibly knowledgeable. The in house gardener (yes they have one of those!) grows ingredients on site to help supplement food costs and she taught us so much about how climate impacts the plants she grows. (Their rhubarb was gigantic) everything we ate was off the charts amazing! If I had to give a negative comment it would be that the manager seemed inconvenienced by the guests and made sure to tell us that we were keeping him from his busy day, but to be fair he said he isn't usually the one who gives guest presentations so I have to give him props for doing it even when he clearly had other things to do. DO NOT MISS THIS PLACE if you find yourself in Skagway, but get there early because space is limited. 11/10 Great job!!!

I thought it was mostly a food tasting tour but it was also full of history about the gold rush. We got to sample a smoked salmon spread and a baked Alaskan. Both fantastic. So much in one tour.
