The pasta I'm told was just ok, but by the time my salad came back my friend had already finished her food. Juliette's makes its home in the former restaurant called The Department. Nothing has changed in the interior. I recommend making a reservation especially on a show night at the Rialto. Very crowded. The young girl we had as a server was friendly and provided good service. I wish I remembered her name! The menu is predominantly Italian. Our party of four shared the veal meatballs appetizer. The marinara was very good and the meatballs soft and full of flavor. We then had the bottomless salad, which was mixed greens with a balsamic dressing. I had the orecchiette in a marinara sauce with veal meatballs for my entree. I just loved the meatballs that I had to have more! They were that good. The only negative was the bread. I like a crusty Italian loaf, not what they provided. That is just personal preference, though. I was really disappointed with Juliet's. I wanted to love it so bad but there were too many negatives. First, it was difficult to find parking. I pulled up their website before going but couldn't find any info. So I parked at the library and walked. I met some family from out of town there for lunch. It didn't start out great when I asked our server what she recommended/ what was good here. She replied, " I just started working here a couple months ago. Anything Italian." I ordered the fried calamari pizza. She responds with "I don't know if our chef will make that, he is really strict with the menu. You got to catch him on a good day."....ok?? But it's on the menu! I changed it to a pepperoni instead. And for the price I should have stayed home and made my family some frozen Jack's instead. Husband got a burger and said it was ok. I'm giving two stars because the building is cool and people were nice. I guess if I go back I should have something more Italian? read more

My fiance and I hosted our engagement party at Juliet's Tavern this past weekend. Drake assured us that his team would provide us a wonderful experience, and they did not disappoint! Debbie greeted us as we arrived early to set up. She was instantly "the fixer," finding extra votive candles and even arranging the photo backdrop and props I had brought for the occasion. She let us know immediately that the staff would accommodate in any way possible: our server was sweet and thoughtful to attendees. Even though the bar kept busy with our guests, they smiled and maintained a positive attitude throughout the party. The food was DELICIOUS, arriving promptly and fresh. The (almost) three hour party went smoothly and incurred not one incident! Everyone raved about the beautiful atmosphere of the restaurant and the spacious loft area at our disposal. They have a selection of about a dozen beers on tap (which they change up often) and the ambiance of that beautiful building is the icing on the cake! I have been to this restaurant many times. We love it! The bar has excellent quality fresh made options! The chefs are creative with appetizers and entrees! The staff makes their service personal! Good food, just painfully slow service. We made reservations but the girl answering the phone wasn't sure how to finalize them, so she said she would call back, never did. We arrived and were seated upstairs, there was one other table of people up there. About 20 minutes go by, more couples seated up with us. No water, no menus nothing. The first table just got up and left. Another guest got up and walked down stairs to ask for service, we had a show to catch, so didn't have time to sit around on a Saturday night. Finally after 30 minutes someone takes a drink order and we order our food too. The food was wonderful, but management needs to hire people to actually give service, especially with the Rialto Theater nearby, there's no reason not to be ready. Our first visit to Juliet's was great. On our way in we ended up meeting a few of the cooks in the back who were very friendly and seemed like they really take pride in what they do. I discovered Juliet's tonight while attending a concert across the street. I wandered in and sat at the bar and ordered fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp. During my visit the food was absolutely phenomenal and my server Katie was great. Really no big complaints. Had the spaghetti with sausage and my friend has a specialty burger. It honestly was the best pasta I've had and my friend said the same about his burger. The specialty bruschetta sausage appetizer was also one of the best we've ever had. The food was quite delicious, but unfortunately, the service was so terrible that it deserves a one star rating. I visited with a friend and when we were seated, our drink order was taken. It took almost ten minutes to get a drink, despite the restaurant being nearly empty. We were also prompted with appetizer options and suggested to tried the fried ravioli. Sounds great, but Steve, the server never put in the order. He also didn't even remember taking the order, because he never brought it up again. My drink, an Arnold Palmer (half lemonade, half iced tea) is not an uncommon beverage option, but apparently the staff was unaware of how to make it. Steve offered an apology to the delay, but not because the staff was unsure how to make my drink, but he blamed another table because they wanted to split the check. Another menu option we ordered was the unlimited salad bowl.... which don't order, because Mike (the other server for the night) will bring you one bowl and clear it without bringing more. No bread bowl was offered in the beginning, which doesn't surprise me, because we weren't even greeted the first five minutes of being present. The pasta bowls were good, and my build-your-own was actually made correctly as I ordered. That was a plus. Fix the staff and service issue, and maybe this place would be worth visiting. read more

After reading the reviews, I was somewhat concerned what to expect when I went there with my family on 12/16/17 to have dinner and see the band, Code Blue play. Well, it was beyond my expectations. The food was fabulous. I had the best eggplant parmesan I have ever had. There was not a complaint from any of us. Service was also fabulous. We were there a total of five hours and our waitress was readily available for anything we needed. The only complaint I have is they had the television on behind where the band performed and that was somewhat distracting. I will definitely be back. read more

This was me and my lady's first time coming we live in joliet and my uncle gave us a voucher for the place that he received from 103.5 radio station. It was our first time out in awhile and got a baby sitter for the night, so we decided to try this place julets. When we got there it was pretty dead but quiet and nice. We ordered appetizers and sides first that came out ok. But when it came to the entrees everything went down hill. My plate was sloppy and not good to say the least with being nice. But when it came to my lady's it was pasta and spicy as ever where it was not bearable to take another bite. They did offer to bring a new one out and they did in about 3 minutes. Well we all now noodles take alot longer then 3 minutes to fire up a new one. The new one tasted as if it was rinsed off and lemon juiced was poured heavily on it. The waiter was nice and manger said she would take care of the bill. Remind you the voucher was good for another $20 n we decided to just leave and never plan on taking my business or my reference out there for this place.
