The room was tiny and the walls were very thin. As I sat down to remove my sneakers I hit the wall by mistake and thought I felt the wall shake. Seriously. LOL A few minutes later the massage therapist/lady came in and she asked me what part of my body I would like her to focus on and I told her my neck and my shoulders. Unfortunately, she focused 90% of the entire massage there. It was okay but that's not what I paid for. The bed was off to one side of the room, against a wall so ever time she went to massage one side of my shoulder/back she slide the bed over to the other side. It felt weird. There was something underneath the bed because a few times she hit it by mistake with her foot. She then excused herself so that she can go get the hot stones. They were pretty hot but they did feel good. Throughout my massage I could hear someone's cell phone ringing (twice) and cleaning going on. All in all, it was worth what I paid but it wasn't very relaxing, very clean or very comfortable. After some recent stress with my husband suffering a heart attack I took some time to go and do what I do to make me feel amazing after a huge ordeal. I booked the same scrub and massage and upgraded to the more expensive milk scrub. Right from the moment I met the girl I could tell she didn't know what she was doing and I won't bore you but it was so unrelaxing and she actually left the majority of the process out. I have always tolerated the language barrier and frankly the rudness from the front desk and basically any one there as I am not Korean but it was always so awesome that I put up with the unfriendliness. I told the girl many times this treatment is not the same and not right but she just giggled. The 3 staff at the front desk didn't care either and when I asked for a refund of that particular service or even partial they said only the manager could do this. I left my number and of course no call from the manager. Sadly these places don't realize what a great customer is and how many people I have sent to them. I will find another place as there are many other great ones I just used to like crystal because of the authenticity the food and other services but when they don't value you and the service becomes rubbish then its time to call it quits. On top of that, spas generally ask if you want your glutes to be massaged, and I wasn't asked and more so just a verbal check-in after the fact. After that experience, I didn't get a massage for a whole year, and yet I felt a need to tip them as the front desk lady and the masseuse looked at me expectantly. I'm not sure if they are aware of how the lack of communication could impact customers, but hopefully they can create a better experience for customers in the future. THE EYELASH EXTENSIONS I came in to try the deal that they were offering around the same time. The lady who did the extensions for me was truly giving her best, I could tell, and was very friendly. However, the process, wasn't totally smooth. I recall my eyes stinging because the glue would get into my eyes and after the entire experience was over, I realized my eyelashes were very stiff because there was too much glue used on each strand of extension! Though the site showed that they had no availability on this date I called and was able to be fit in that same day. The receptionist mentioned that my esthetician Rebecca had a language barrier, but she and I got on perfectly fine during my hour long service. She started with cleansing and steaming my face, then got to work using the microdermabrasion and hydration tools which felt like a small suction running up and down my face. I'd never had any type of dermabrasion done to my face before and was a little nervous about how uncomfortable it would feel, but the facial was virtually painless. My skin was feeling a little hot after the treatment, but luckily the next step was a cooling facial mask that smelled kind of like eucalyptus. Rebecca massaged my arms and neck while I had this on, which was my favorite part of the facial. She applied some cream as a finish at the end, and when I looked at my face again my skin looked notably less dull. My blackheads were no longer so visible, and even my pores seemed tighter. This facial was on the pricier side, but I was happy to learn that they have more inexpensive options like the glow and go facial - just $65. The spa itself is beautiful and brand new. It's a relaxing atmosphere which is hard to cultivate when you're stepping in off busy Steinway street. I will absolutely be back.

Today, after my facial, I walked to Macy's in Queens Center mall. In Macy's I am at the cash register when the check out staff said, "What's the name of the fragrance you're wearing, it smells good?" I answered, "You are smelling the fragrance of the FACIAL I just had." Of course, I was very descriptive about the facial and left her with name and address of the business and she said she will remember because "Happy" is a name she won't forget!

The rest was just massage, massage and more massage...and seaweed mask for an additional $10 which I regretted coz I don't really like it. That killed the time since it was for about 20 minutes. And then it's over! I was expecting since the review say they were good, to have my Whiteheads extracted and a clean face after. When I came home, I could still feel the spots that needed to be cleaned. Nothing was done with them...i spent money for nothing and now I've to have another facial again next week to have my problems addressed. I'll just go back to my old facial spa place in flushing. The distance is a little off, but I get my money's worth there.
