What is not to love about jumbo slice? If you do not like this pizza, then I question your sanity. The pizza is absolutely delicious whether you are sober or drunk at 2 am. The service is never very friendly but I guess that's half the charm. The pizza slice is the size of a small child. My fave is pepperoni. read more

Best pizza in DC? Not even close. But the pizza I crave after a long night out? Absolutely. Jumbo Slice is the quintessential DC drunk food, and at $5.50 a slice you really can't beat it. So yeah, the pizza might be a little greasy and a lot average. But is it worth the trek at 2am in AdMo? Every time. read more

This pizza was actually pretty good but I was a bit grossed out by the fact that the place has a funky smell like it needs a deep cleaning. That smell is more potent than the actual smell of food. The pizza slices are pretty big and you can probably get full off of one or maybe even 1 and a half slices if you have a big appetite (if you still have one after the restaurant's smell). Drinks are cans only. There isn't much seating but the place was pretty deserted. We were the only customers. We opted to eat on the patio tables and chairs outside of the restaurant as the smell was pretty pungent. I asked to use the restroom. That was also disgusting. It smelled pretty bad and it was pretty dirty. It looked like it had not been cleaned in a very long time. read more

After a long night out, a slice of pizza is the perfect way to end the night. Coming from NYC, I haven't had much luck with slices in the DC area. I stumbled into Jumbo Slice by chance as it was the closest pizza joint opened at 3am. At $5.50 a slice, this was shockingly expensive, but when we opened the box, I can see why- the one slice was the equivalent of 3? In any case, it was pretty damn close to a NY slice. The crust could be thinner, but the cheese and sauce, spot on. Definitely satisfied a craving, and I wouldn't mind going back. read more

Great location right next to all the bars. When it's 2am and there's not much else, Jumbo Slice definitely hits the spot. Great price for a slice the size of a medium pizza. Staff is super friendly too. Would definitely recommend! read more

There are many fakes but this is the original Jumbo slice. After seeing this local spot on a few tv food shows I had to try it out so after a girls visit to Pitchers ‍we had our appetite on. The pizza was delish and huge. Everyone was so nice even to the customers that had a bit too much to drink. Don't be discourage by the line it moves fast!! We'll be back!‍‍‍ read more

After a night at District, I mistook the garlic powder for parmesan cheese and had a field day. Not only did I manage to still eat the entire jumbo slice on the cab home, but I managed to score some nifty heartburn for the next 24 hrs. Oh, and I burped up garlic for a strong 36 hours. This was actually my first experience of eating a jumbo slice pizza. Yes, I've lived here for almost my whole life. Yes, I've partied in DC and drank in Adams Morgan before. I can't believe I waited this long to try it! So, it's literally bigger than your face- maybe two people's faces combined. It's huge. Even after hearing about it and seeing pictures online, I was still surprised to see how big it actually was. After getting over the initial shock of how large one slice is, the actual flavor is pretty good. It was completely drenched in oil, so I had to pat it down a few times with my napkin. Other than that, it was pretty good pizza. They have a bunch of things you can put on top like garlic powder, cheese and chili flakes. It's a little too big to try to fold in half, but I did it anyway. It would be the perfect late night snack. I can see why everyone craves this after a night of drinking. read more

Do not wast your time or money! The inside has dirty and stained walls. The service is really bad. For example, I requested the supreme and they boxed up a meat pizza. Said the supreme would take 10 minutes. Did not give me a choice! The pizza was only slightly warm and was very very doughy. Within 1-2 blocks there are other pizza choices that I wish I had visited. Don't make the same mistake! read more

On the starting leg of my recent summer vacation, I present to you Jumbo Slice Pizza out of DC baby! I think the reviews are true, this pizza excels when you are drunk off a night of partying in downtown DC. I had the kids with me that day, so I dared to get a slice sober. All in all, not the best slice of pie but not the worst! This place sells the crap out of giving you a JUMBO slice! These things are huge! Each slice comes in it's own box for you to enjoy! At $5.00 a jumbo slice for cheese or $5.50 a jumbo slice for 1 topping they ain't too cheap either. But man, was it greasy goodness at it's best! I picked up a slice of cheese, a slice of beef pepperoni (this place serves no pork products, I'm guessing because of religious affiliations), and a slice of mushroom. Each slice was bigger than my head! It was just fun to look at. The kids were amazed when they opened their pizza boxes revealing their own slice. They're massive! Taste is kinda meh. A bit on the chewy side (I like my crust crispy), but I think it's because this bad boy drips of grease! Make sure you have napkins...cheese drippings everywhere! I did the best I could to dab the oil off my slice but not the kids! They savored every bit of that greasy heaven. The little one even managed to polish off her entire slice! Not bad for an 8 year old! She didn't even bother rolling or folding the slice to make it easier to eat. Honestly though the pizza here is about an average. I gotta imagine this slice is much better when you are hammered and on the verge of a hangover. Oh, and Jumbo Slice Pizza has competition a few doors down...Pizza Mart! They serve a jumbo slice as well, word is the competitors are actually brothers fighting over who has the better slice. read more

What you see is what you get - a huge slice of pizza for $5.50 for the ultimate late night snack. I actually came here really early - about 10PM or so. This is an Adams Morgan landmark, which you may find difficult to believe considering the place looks like it hasn't been renovated for twenty years. The menu is really bare bones - a slice of gigantic cheese pizza for $5.50. If you want toppings, it kicks up to around $7. This is not the best pizza you will ever have, which is okay since 90% of the clientele are stumbling in at 2AM after leaving the bars. For the price you get a lot of pizza, and it's one of the best deals in town. read more

Yep! You guessed it! Another avid viewer of Food Wars who came into town to see what all the hype was about. Actually, I didn't even watch the episode . . . my friends saw it and began conversing about it so I earnestly nodded along, hoping to fit in. Does that make me non-legit? First up, was Jumbo Slice. As advertised, the pizza is pretty big. $6 for a slice seemed kind of steep . . . we all know what the basic ingredients are in a slice of pepperoni pizza and simply enhancing the size a bit doesn't exponentially skyrocket the price. But price aside, the pizza was alright. Yeah, it was really greasy but to be honest, there just wasn't enough tomato sauce for me. I like my pizzas to have that tomato flavor but Jumbo Slice seemed to go more cheesy with their slices. If you swing that way then Jumbo Slice is for you but my piece just tasted mediocre. It was also a little too chewy for my taste. I'm not sure if that was a product of the cheese or the dough but as I got deeper into the slice, I became noticeably aware of the laborious task chewing had become. So yeah, not too bad. For $6, probably wouldn't come here on the regular unless as people have stated in their reviews, I was heavily inebriated. That is assuming I wouldn't go to Pizza Mart . . . . . . Its JUMBO. Its cheap ($6 pepperoni; $5 cheese). Its pizza. I'm not big on crust, but this one is good. I like that the slices are piping hot and raring to go like 8 millisconds after your order. DO NOT come here unless you're drunk or coming from a bar/club. This place was messy, and has no customer service!. I order a cheese slice with four buffalo wings. The pizza was thrown at me in a box.. the wings came later on. When I got to my room I was fully disappointed. Waste of my money. The pizza was horrible, the sauce the dough like how can you make pizza this bad. THE WINGS! Those were the worst. I've had better wings from the local Chinese place. DC you have let me down. I will never come to this place ever! read more

Jumbo slice is great! Cheap and delicious. I went around 7:30 on a Friday night and it was empty besides a few people who would wander in. It's a small place, I can't imagine it super late at night. Pizza was huge! A little greasy, but that's fixable with napkins. I got the pepperoni and it was delicious. I would go back again. Very cheap too, for the massive hunk you get. read more

I'm not really a pizza person. It's not my shtick (by that statement, you might assume I'm more of a matzo ball soup, old dill pickle kind of person). That said, after a night of bar-hopping, our night was destined for some sort of grease-infused meal. One jumbo slice could easily feed 3 people. We mistakenly each bought one slice. I cut mine in half, and had I been thinking more, I would have probably blotted off the grease as best I could. Pricey for a slice at $4, but worth it because again, it can feed multiple people. So here I am, stumbling in drunk from all the bars in Adams Morgan. I need food.. like right now!! And here is a pizza stand, filled with people and the glorious scent of pepperoni and cheese. I remember hazily walking up to the counter. "I'll have a slice of pepperoni" "Five fifty." "Ok" I pay the man and slow thoughts come into my head -- "wait... 5.50 for a slice of pizza. isn't that kind of a lot?" Before I have time to really think it through, out comes the slice in about 5 seconds. HOLY JUMBO! this is the biggest slice of pizza I've seen! It's also the most delicious thing when you're drunk. These slices are HUGE. But does size really matter when the pizza is no good? The pizza was served cold & the guy behind the counter touched the slice with his bare hands after handling cash. It's usually packed late at night & everyone is most likely inebriated. There's just something about being drunk that makes pizza taste so good... Just be prepared to be in a disorderly, but entertaining crowd if you're planning to get something here at night. If you're barhopping in AdMo and promised yourself "one slice of pizza," then this is your place to go to make that slice count. It's okay for what it is, but once you sober up you'll realize that it doesn't live up to the hype. Bleh. read more

As everyone says, great drunk food after last call. Just snag a bunch of napkins to pat down the surface and sop up the excess orange pools of grease first. Believe me, it will still have enough to coat your stomach and prevent that hangover the next morning. Go back outside and sit on the curb to eat. Either fold up the slice as best you can NY style, or tear pieces off it and share it with a friend. If you do it the former way, do beware of grease dripping down onto your shirt. I always grab pizza when I travel and this place is still one of my favorite stops. The novelty of the ridiculously huge slices combined with the fact that both times I've been here it was after a few drinks has led to two awesome experiences here. I think most pizza is good after the bar, but I remember the food being pretty good. If you're an out-of-towner, I'd definitely check it out. read more

Ordered through Postmates. While the pizza is okay, the French fries were kind of bleh. They were basically raw and tasted weird. I'd say 6.5/10 pizza, 2/10 fries. I think I was more turned off that the plastic container of sauce was throw into/under the pile of uncooked fries (instead of separately) especially for covid reasons. read more

Yum!!! Went in on a very hot day ordered 2 jumbo slices of peperoni pizza and 2 drinks (12oz. can) $16.50. The cheese slice which is the base price for the jumbo slice was $5.50. For every additional topping added it was $1 more. For a can of soda i thought the $1.50 price was a little high but i was extremely thirsty. That's honestly the only complaint i have... the service was fast the seating is limited but the jumbo slice is so good! We heard about this place through a YouTube video and had to check it out... thay meant walking a mile from the Smithsonian zoo then 3/4 a mile back to the metro. Completely worth it! read more

Have you ever seen one slice the size of a whole pizza pie? Well this is it. One slice after a night owl will have your full to the next day. It's literally like five slices in one. Surprisingly though, it doesn't fall apart. It is pretty greasy... So you'll have to go through like 50 napkins. But I guess you walk into this place expecting that.
