We had my daughter's birthday party here today. It was a lot of fun and the kids really enjoyed themselves. The two adults, who were brave enough to stay surrounded by 15 screaming kids, also had fun playing on the inflatable structures. The place is very organized and clean. They make sure the kids are safe, walking them through the rules at each stage, but also allow for the kids making a mess. The attendants were very nice and interacted with the kids. Basically they took care of everything, we just had to show up and have fun. While they are a new business they are very professional and friendly. read more

I wanted to edit my previous review. I had been frustrated because, as an individual customer, just looking to bring in one child, I'd had a hard time finding an "open jump" slot; it seemed that Jump Around prioritized groups and parties and was less welcoming to individuals. However they very kindly were able to let us in for a 75-minute slot last week, and my daughter, her nanny, and another toddler-nanny pair they are friends with had an excellent time. The pictures look amazing--there are huge jumping structures as well as other toddler toys like a play kitchen and ride-on cars. Both my husband and I and also our nanny plan to take our daughter back often. I shouldn't say this, as I hope they don't raise the prices, but I think the admission price is a bargain. I do really wish they would reserve at least a few hours a week, perhaps some weekday hours and some weekend hours, as *permanent* open jump hours that are never booked for parties, because it would be really much better to be able to plan in advance rather than always having to call at the last minute. read more

I bought a 5-pass Groupon. The first time I called to book an appointment (which seems so ridiculous for a place like this, but anyway), I got a live person on the phone and easily scheduled a time to bring my kids and their friend. Be aware that you've gotta get the friend's mom to sign some waiver, blah blah. Oh, and you can't let the friend use one of your Groupon sessions--as you are beginning to see, this is not the kind of "spur of the moment" activity to do with the kids. The bounce house itself was fun, a good time was had by all, etc. The idea of an appointment did seem extra lame when you consider that we were like the only people in the whole place during open jump time. Anyway, I totally agree with another review who wrote that this place caters to birthday parties and not to individuals. I have been trying to book another open jump session for months now. Every month, I call and leave a message about booking. No one ever returns my call. No one ever answers the phone...except this one time a few weeks ago. "Jump Around." "Yes, hi, I'd like to schedule a time to come in." "Uh, OK, for a birthday party?" "No, for the open jump time on Wednesday at 3:30." "Um, hold on." (placed on hold. muted. silence.) After four minutes, the guy clicks back on but is CARRYING ON A CONVO with the other employee, not taking my call. I can hear him discussing his weekend plans, etc. I'm yelling, "Hello? Hi?" but no one hears my pleas for help. PLEASE LET MY CHILDREN JUMP ON YOUR GIANT VINYL MATTRESSES! PLEASE! I LOVE YOU, JUMP AROUND! To no avail. I hang up and call back. What do you think happened? Oh, VOICE MAIL. This is why I frickin love Chuck E Cheese. I can walk in at ANY TIME, spend a few bucks on tokens, slump into a booth, and masticate some decent Hawaiian pizza while my kids happily flit about. read more

Won't be back. It is a small place (4 inflatables). Questionable safety: they have a large tarp collecting water from the roof with bricks holding it down and a hose. Looks like its been there for a long time. The inflatables are hitting points on the ceiling including lights and wiring. Some of the slides are extremely steep and then don't have a smooth landing spot - easy for someone to catch their leg or arm and break it. Lots of other place around that are far better ... Do yourself a favor and go to those first. read more

Had my daughters birthday celebrated here recently. Booking was done online. Around 2 days before the event I called the place and made sure the order was right for the pizza, juice and goodie bags. The pizza was tasty and so was the juice boxes. The area looked clean and the helpers were friendly too. The inflatables were good enough for the 5 yr olds. But the giant slide was a little scary but later the kids enjoyed it. There is a separate area for smaller kids with small roller coasters kitchen sets and a car play area. There are bathrooms in the rear and a changing station too. Over all the party was smooth and organized. The helpers expect gratuity (15-20%) of the total which seems fine as they were friendly anyways. Good place for your next son or daughters birthday party. Only downside is that the play stuff seems slightly battered up but nothing is in bad shape. read more

I was so excited to bring my son here for the 1st time today, he loves places like this. We've done Pump it Up parties, we've done the My Gym membership classes, etc...it's nice for young kid to have an indoor spot to run & jump and play safely even when the weather's not great. I was happy to hear this place was right up the street AND they had an open slot for the earliest open-play time today (I figured earlier=cleaner!). On the phone yesterday, I asked about the cost & was told it was a couple dollars higher than usual as it was a vacation week (no problem), asked if it was VERY clean & safe & was told yes, and I asked if there were staff attendants to make sure everyone stayed safe, etc. and was told YES. When we got there, the first thing I noticed walking in was the strong smell of a gas leak. I mentioned this & the young lady (owner?) told me her landlord said this is normal and that it dissipates as the day goes on. Umm...OK, maybe worth checking into, I think...but OK. She gave a safety talk to my son but talking too fast with a lot of info for a 5 year old (on top of that, my son has a language processing disorder so it pretty much went over his head, but he's a pretty mild kid and he already knew the main ideas were "take turns, no pushing, be safe".) So we go in & take off our shoes, there were only 3 other kid when we got there so it seems pretty good. Equipments seems in good shape, etc...I did find a AA battery laying inside one of the structures that hadn't been played in yet so I gave that to the owner. She was the only staff there, but I figured the other staff would be along shortly. Meanwhile, my son's pretty happy on the slide & the other 3 kids are about his size and well-behaved, so far so good. So, pretty soon the place is filled with kids, babies to big kids. As is usual with these places, parents get caught up talking to each other & pay no attention to their kids (which is why most of these types of places employ staff). Some of the small kids were being overrun by the rambunctious older ones, and one of the other mothers expressed concern that she couldn't see or get to her kid in the big green play thing closest to the entrance, while another mother cringed as she saw her small kid almost crushed by an 8 or 9 year old on the slide. Every now and then the owner would leave the front desk and ask the kids to take turns and/or be careful, but then she'd go back out front to the counter. I asked her about the other staff (the one's I'd been told would be there), and she told me she was it. 1 semi-present staff for 25 kids? Really? Even the 12 year olds who staff Pump it Up are at least a physical presence. Meanwhile, my son is trying to get up the slide and he was looking kind of stressed, it was too crowded and kind of unruly. I expressed my concerns to the owner & although she seemed kind of defensive that I thought she was not enough to safely monitor 25 running screaming jumping kids on 5 different structures across 1000 feet of space, she offered me a refund. She told me they had video cameras on the play space that she can see from the front desk...not the same as having people with the kids, and NOT what I had been told on the phone (and I'm pretty sure it was her on the phone). I told her I was going to think over her refund offer for a minute as I didn't want to disappoint my son. But, a minute later as he was being crowded again by bigger kids, he told me "there are too many 100 kids here". OK, time to go. This place isn't awful...it's pretty clean (aside from the battery, and some staples I saw on the floor while putting our shoes on). It would be WAYYY better with some staff. Or with smaller groups. Or if the play times were organized by age to give even the small kids a chance to play. Pump It Up & other places aren't perfect, but they do seem to be more structured and safer. I know for sure My Gym staff have child development experience & it shows. This place could be great, but right now there's definitely lots of room for improvement. It felt like it was more about making money (big groups of kids with no staff to pay), than about kids. And that gas leak NEEDS attention: no matter what the landlord says, it's NOT normal. Feb. 2011 edit: Considered giving this place another try, but am now pretty creeped-out that someone (owner?) seems to be tagging their reviews as "useful/funny/cool", like a dozen time each...except for the ones that weren't positive. Check it out: completely disproportionate, as well as really sketchy and really obvious. Just reinforces what I felt in December: this place isn't interested in doing good business, only driving up buiness volume. read more

I've had it with this place. The management/ownership is horrible. Calls go unanswered and messages do it get returned. I've been told numerous times that the open jumps I want to take my kids to will only be held if a certain # of people sign up. I purchased a Groupin b/c although I despise it my kids like it a lot, trying to get the manager to verify how many passes I had left has been a multi day process. The inflatables are held together with duct tape in some places, and as another reviewer mentioned they go up to the lights(fire hazard???). The slide is so steep I have seen children get a rug burn type injury as they come down. Such a disappointment. It could be so fantastic if the management was somewhat competent and valued safety and the everyday consumer, not just booking overpriced birthday parties. read more

We recently held my son's 5th birthday party here. I will say that he and his friends had a great time - they loved all of the structures and had a blast climbing, jumping and sliding. I thought the place was clean and I like how they had the kids use hand sanitizer before and after using the gym. However, as the parent, I was quite disappointed in the organization of the place. Once the kids were finished jumping and went into the party room, things went downhill fast. We had 45 minutes in the room and I knew that this would be way too much time to just eat cake so I had brought an activity for the kids to do. However, the staff assured me that I didn't need to bring it out; that they would play games and have the kids play with the xbox in the lobby, so I said OK. The thing is though, that they did not explain any of this to the kids. The second they were done eating cake, they all tried to run back out to the bouncy structures which was not allowed. Luckily we had quite a few parents there to help keep them in, but the party assistant did not initiate any games or let anyone know what as going on, so pretty soon guests started to leave. They did not pass out the goody bags like they said and I had to chase people down in the parking lot to hand them out. Finally most kids gathered in the lobby and were dancing to the xbox, but a couple were in the party room so I was walking back and forth, through someone else's party in the bouncy area to check on both groups of kids. Apparently one kid did get out into the bouncy area because he appeared out of nowhere toward the end. To top it all off, they lost one of my son's gifts!! I am working with them to try to find it, but I'm not optimistic. To summarize, I think that Jump Around has the potential to do a great business in the Metrowest area. However, they are way understaffed for parties (we haven't attended an open jump so I can't say if that is the same) and desperately need some better organization to have the parties run smoothly and safely. read more

I had to come on and write a review about this place. They way they run their business is awful. The website clearly states a reservation is required to schedule a session. Well don't expect a call / email back when you try to do so. I have left multiple calls and emails and its pulling teeth trying to get my kid in there. If its wasn't for a groupon I am trying to use up, I wouldn't even bother anymore. This is my 2nd session I am trying to schedule. Also scheduling a session requires planning which is kind of hard with kids. Would be better if you could just show up at the times they have displayed on their website (which I think I am going to try). After my groupon is done, I am done. I will never be back. I recently brought my two boys- ages 4.5 and 2.5- here during an open jump time. It was GREAT! They both had fun. There is a nice variety of jumpy things to accomodate various ages kids. There's also the semi-gated off area with a pretend kitchen, which both of my boys played in in between jumps. the place was clean and not crowded as you have to reserve a spot for open jump time. The 75 minute jump time was plenty and left my boys good and tired. We will definitely spend a lot of time here this winter! read more

We found out about this place late on a rainy Sunday afternoon. When we called, we were late for the jumping session but were told to come over anyway and the owner would stay late so we could have more time to play. Hi! This is a clean place, but it is dark. I felt like for a $18.00 for 2 kids, that there should have been more. I have been to Jumping Trax in Sharon and it was a lot nicer and a lot more to do. With that said, my kids had fun and did not mind when I said, let's go. So for $18.00 for one hour, I could have done something more fulfilling. read more

Do not bring young children to open play!! went here with several children under 5 and we were even charge FULL PRICE for the 1 YEAR OLDS!!! mind you they could not actually jump because there was not a single inflatable structure dedicated to young children. they do have a play kitchen, a train table with no trains and a slide, but who doesn't have these things at home?! absolutely NO STAFF presence other than a quick check in. 2 total to be exact...and at one point the superviser left to get lunch...and left only at 17year old kid in charge...good thing the structures didn't deflate! DANGEROUS!! the 30foot slide had children toppling all over eachother on the ladder and was an accident waiting to happen. Even the 5 year old couldn't jump because all of the older boys were overpowering it and she was scared...i would be too! There is no age division or supervision here. if you are going with small children save your money for pump it up or playtown express where they have areas to actually JUMP for them without being hurt. seriously, who pays full price for a 1 year old to play with a train set and plastic slide? so we talked to the 'management' about our thoughts and asked for a refund for the 1 year olds....she said no and offered a free jump....NO THANK YOU!!! read more

This place is amazing! It is loving and caring and my son had his birthday party here and it was great. The staff is really nice to the kids and took great care of my party. The prices are very reasonable compared to other places. I looked at other places and compared to Jump Around it was so expensive. They are very attentive to my kids and all I had to do was sit back and relax and they did all the work for me. Their website is very easy to book birthdays and included great information. I would recommend this place to my friends and I recently purchased a groupon which is a great deal and saves me a lot of money. The manager was very nice and was very reasonable with my party. My 2 1/2 son broke his leg going down the small slide when you first come in. He went down on his bottom feet first. The slide is just too steep. When I posted this happened on facebook 4 people said they had heard this happen on the same exact slide. As a very relaxed parent I would never set foot in this place again. read more

I have been several times and my kids enjoy Jump Around. However, they hardly ever answer their phone or return your message. They also charge full price for kids over 1. There is not enough to do there for a 1 year old to be charged full price. They have also dramatically cut back their hours and are only open for 2 sessions a day. Had my son's birthday party at this location, and was not thrilled. Partway through his birthday party, we were told that we would not get the cake we ordered. During his party we are told this?! Not only did we not get the spiderman cake we ordered a week prior to the party, but we got a different kind and size from some random nearby grocery store. It was not the Coldstone birthday cake that was advertised on their website! No discount, or apology was made... instead I was blamed for not ordering my cake in time, despite showing them on my phone that I called a week prior and not the day before as they claimed. My son had fun, and that's all that matters... but I will never go here again. It's a birthday party factory, and people are rushed in and out. The focus is on them and not their customers. I was recently baby sitting for my great nieces for the week and took the children to Jump Around. I am a former school principal, trained to recognize safety and supervision concerns and this place was filled with both. There was a tall, wood bookcase, unsecured which was not filled with anything; just waiting for a youngster to pull it over. The lack of supervision was scary and I found myself being the referee of too many children coming down the slide as well as too vast a spectrum of children from various ages altogether on equipment not suitable for some of the children. I found the young woman who was the "supervisor" very responsive to my concerns, but this place is an accident waiting to happen. I also questioned that no plastic caps were installed on the electrical outlets, but was told that the city had approved the outlets. My great nieces had a ball, but I was silently biting my nails for their safety as well as the safety of others. Never again- read more
