Hawaiian pizza, pineapple and ham topping

Sat along Burden Lake in a shady spot on the side at one of the outdoor tables. There was a nice breeze, very comfortable. We ordered steamers, hot buffalo wings and a pineapple ham Hawaiian pizza. Very tasty steamers and wings. The toppings on the Hawaiian pizza did not have a lot of flavor. We will stick with the cheese pizza next time which they are famous for in the area. Really tasty crust with a nice crunch and good chew. We got there fairly early near when they opened so we got a spot we enjoyed.

Ca Kays is a place I usually ride my awesome motorcycle to. On Burden lake and sports amazing views and padio/deck seating! Beautiful spot to relax qnd eat amazing food! If you are looking for excellent pizza you will find it! Add sausage and bacon and you will be in heaven! But the salads are big and delicious! Steamed clams, and spiral shrimp will have you hooked. But, the friendly staff will make your visit extra special. So hop on your hog, or in your car and make the drive.

There are quite a few pizza places in a short stretch of Wynantskill, NY and I don't like most of…read morethem. La Famiglia was my favorite for a while, but they went out of business and I was left with no really good pizza place. Sure, there are those that will argue that they have their favorites in town. That's fine. But they're not MY favorites. Then I hear some good things about the newest kid on the block: La Trattoria. You should know that just after Thanksgiving last year I started a low-carb lifestyle trying to cut way down on breads and flour based products. Also, keep in mind I said cut way down, not totally eliminate. I mean, if I can't enjoy what I'm eating, then why not just eat processed mush, right? So, now I have pizza on the brain. I'm getting "ghost tastes" of pizza in my mouth and keep wondering if this place is going to be good. I finally crack. This is also smack in the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic, social distancing, restaurants closed for take-out only madness. I go in not expecting anything to be hot and fresh out of the oven because let's face it - people aren't rushing in and out of restaurants during this clamp-down. My litmus test for pizza is a plain slice. If you can win me over on the plain slice, that's all I care about. You have three key ingredients that have to synch up: the dough, the sauce and the cheese. I order two plain slices: one for me and one to share with my birds (2 Umbrella Cockatoos and a Blue Front Amazon), Guinea pig and bald rat at home. Hey, everyone loves good pizza and they help me keep the carb count down. They heat it up, put it in a box for me to take out of the place, because you can't eat it here - just like every place during this shutdown. I get to my car, open the box, pick up one of the slices and check underneath to see if it's one of the pre-made crusts. Nope, this looks like it was manhandled the old fashioned way - the right way to make pizza. I then fold the back end of the slice in half, bite down on the pointy end and... ...and I'm in pizza heaven. I close my eyes and I let the basic flavors of crust, sauce and cheese dance around my taste buds. The pie crust is thin, crunchy on the bottom and chewy in between and it has this amazing flavor that becomes even more noticeable when you get to the crusts. The sauce is just right. I hate a sweet tasting sauce. And the cheese tastes like cheese and not like a lump of melted plastic that's supposed to look like and pass as real cheese. Congrats, they hit on a winning combo. My pets approved too. They all got a piece of a much cooler slice of pizza and they all wound up with pizza face at the end. Not a crumb went to waste. I've been back twice since then for a slice - single since I'm still trying to keep the carb count down. But it's so hard when you have a great pizza place in your town. I wish La Trattoria a long and prosperous stay in town - mainly for selfish reasons. I love a great tasting pie and having a go-to pizza joint in town is more than anyone can hope for. I wish I could report on some of the other items they offer, but when they have a great plain pizza and you're satisfied with just that - no, let me rephrase that. When they have a great plain pizza and you can't walk out of the place without at least one slice of plain, it's really hard to go in there are try something else. Highly recommended. PLEASE PATRONIZE this La Trattoria and keep them in business (again, for selfish reasons.) :-)

We did the morning animal feeding and my granddaughter absolutely loved it! We spent a lot of time putting around the beautiful grounds in our golf carts and had a blast feeding the cows, chickens, and ducks with the feed you can purchase at the Pony Barn. We did not eat at June Farms, unfortunately on the evening we were going to, we got torrential down pours which led to flooding.( More on this soon) We did do bingo and had some drinks which was a great time with very tasty drinks! The only negative was not the fault of June Farms, we had a massive rain and thunder storm come through and there were flash flood warnings and lots of flooding happening. We were staying in The Hobbit Hut and it flooded. We got in touch with Michelle and she quickly provided us with different accomodations. As I said, the staff is very friendly and efficient, they really help make staying at June Farms even more enjoyable than it already is. This was a great trip with our granddaughter, but would also be a awesome place for an adult getaway. We look forward to visiting again!

Gorgeous, rolling, lush, green grass, healthy and content livestock, the huts and houses were gorgeous and I would so love to say onsite for a weekend, the event locations were exceptionally nice, and the indoor entertainment venue was beyond wonderful. I have to also say that the service was on point. While it was great to meet some of the folks that I actually got to see on tv, it was equally wonderful to meet new folks, and to also find that all of them were top notch and went above and beyond from a service perspective. I was lucky enough to meet the owner, reminisce on his time in NC for a short bit, and be able to share that we watch the show down in NC. The drinks were on point. That Bourbon Peach Old Fashioned was AMAZING, and everyone said their drinks were beyond great. Our bartender, Trinel was undoubtedly one of the best parts of the visit. Well, that, meeting Matt, and Tess Collin's (who in my opinion has the best kind of personality that makes you just want to sit and soak it all in). They were, and are, some of the nicest people and my other half's family loves them. I can see why. We topped the night off with Pizza which is constantly being wood-fired on location and within view. The hot honey pepperoni was just the best! If I lived here, I would be at this location every event and every time the doors opened. You must visit this place! You will be amazed!
