I previously had a service request with a company (to remain nameless) through my home warranty, who claimed our heating unit just needed cleaning, charged us and left without actually checking the heater. They didn't fix it & it didn't work. We decided to call Jungle Cat Heating & Cooling. Matt was very prompt & courteous! He diagnosed the problem immediately and fixed the issue. He stayed until he knew the heater was not going quit on us again, which would indicate a deeper problem. We had a functioning heater that day & it's still going strong! Price was great & well worth paying out of pocket to not only have a working source of heat (given that it's been in the 30s at night lately) but to also support a local business! This company installed my rooftop AC/heating unit in 2017. I haven't seen them since. I made numerous calls for service and was always told they are busy on installs and outages, and can't check my unit. I hired another company to tune up my unit periodically. Recently I noticed that the compressor is making noise on startup and called Jungle Cat for a checkup. I told them I wanted a list of measurements for the components they check, and was told that information is not part of their advertised service. I told them I need the information to verify warranty coverage. I was told they will check on whether they will give me the component check values. This was 10 days ago and no one has gotten back to me. I will never use this company again... can't trust them. read more

Scheduled repair for my furnace on November 25 scheduled for the 4 of December. Called to see when they were going to be able to repair my furnace. Said I was not on the schedule. Asked what we could do to expedite this was told two weeks out. Said that wasn't acceptable. She said I am ending this call and hung up. Not cool. Called your office as you requested. Very bad customer service. Will take your money and not do what they were hired to do. My home warranty put in a Service request for an AC unit not working properly and it took 4 calls and 5 days before they called to schedule me. They then took over a week to come back and install the part, which didn't even fix the problem. I went out of town for a week and when I got back the issue was still not fixed. The request was resubmitted and again, they did not call me to schedule, I had to call them 3 times before I got a call back a whole week later. They couldn't get me in for another week and this morning, two hours before my appointment, they called and cancelled, saying their appointments for yesterday had to be moved due to weather so they also moved everyone else and had automatically rescheduled me for tomorrow. I reminded them that I have been without AC for a month and should have been a priority appointment that should not be moved. I had cleared my morning, rescheduling three of my own clients to tomorrow to accommodate their schedule, and am not willing to reschedule them a second time. I asked them to honor the appointment they had scheduled with me, and they refused. I asked for a supervisor to call me. Their manager refused to call and talk to me. Instead, they sent me very unprofessional TEXT MESSAGE stating they were cancelling my job. I already paid the trade call fee for this job, which was not done. This company came to my home to service and maintenance my furnace for the winter season and after looking at my unit i was told that may furnace was working a good as it could for its age and my ducting needed to be replaced. After getting a second opinion my furnace was retag and shutdown due to "Deadly Levels" of Carbon Monoxide being emitted. I will never recommend this company to anyone. read more

Jungle Cat came to my home because the American Home Sheild insurance sent them. The man spent a lot of time, complaining and doing nothing. I have pictures after he left, my heater was still covered in dirt and grim, and the system still made bad noises. He put a "shim" in the side, to stop the noise and told the insurance company it was fine. It quit a few days later. Before it quit however it filled my home with burned wire smells and smoke. If we had not been home, it could have been much worse. When I called the insurance company, they said the man said it was fixed. I would have to start a new complaint, and pay again. They said to call Jungle Cat back. I did... My phone read JUNKMAN... when I called. The insurance sent me a JUNKMAN to fix my heater? It said so on my phone... Try the number yourself... Wow... no wonder it was poorly handled and nearly cost me my home. I had no idea, until I read my PHONE I asked for them to pay the actual repair from a real company, and they said they were not responsible. I asked the Insurance shield company, and they said, they were not at fault as I should have had the Jungle Cat come back. I would not have done that once I found out they were a JUNK MAN... So the insurance company, American Home Shield, sent me a JUNKMAN to fix my heater. I would not recommend American Home Shield as they do not check out who they send... and they do not deal with professionals... as far as I can tell. Our upstairs AC stopped working in the home we recently bought, so we contacted the home warranty company (American Home Shield) to send a repairman. We were very anxious since the heat wave was just starting in Prescott. Jungle Cat was the company that AHS contacted on our behalf. They called promptly and scheduled an appointment a couple of days out. The repairman was professional and knowledgeable, and diagnosed the problem as a lack of Freon. He replaced the Freon and topped off our other AC. While we had to pay for the Freon in addition to the $75 fee for AHS, it was well worth it, since our AC now works fine. We were happy with Jungle Cat and would use them again. read more

They accepted a contract with AHS to service my A/C. Never showed up and didn't call. I was told weeks ago their tech was sick and the contract would be rejected because no one else was available in the area. I spoke with AHS today and was told that was never done so my claim was frozen. Possibly not all their fault. Seems like a team effort between them and AHS to drop the ball. 1 phone call with another local company and my issues is already settled. I suggest avoiding both this company and AHS. read more

Can I give less than 1 Star ? We have several commercial properties in the community and we scheduled Jingle Cat to replace an HVAC unit that was in disrepair. Paid our maintenance manager hours to sir and wait while they kept making excuses as to why they were so late. They said they don't want the job and don't want.our business ! Buyers beware ! Beware, this company is is not honest. Assigned by our home warranty company (AHS) who told us they would call within 24 hours. Never received a call. We called the number given by AHS. Jeff answered and told us he was busy and would call us back later in the day. Several calls both to Jeff and AHS resulted in an appointment time 6 days later. When Jeff did not show we called him and his response was "Oh Shoot, I'll call you right back." Jeff called back and said he would come over in a couple of hours. When I voiced my concern he told me he did not want to talk to me any more and would not be coming out to fix my air conditioning. My advice to the people of Northern Arizona is to stay away from both of these companies. Please make sure to spread the word about these two companies. read more

Called them our for a tune up as we were having trouble with our ac cooling. The tech showed up and was friendly but said everything was okay. Then we had some really hot days so we tried to call them back out but couldn't get through, tried for over a week and eventually got ahold of them. Please do yourselves a favor and stay away from this company. They never answer the phone a box is full so you can never leave a message. Fixed my furnace and then broke again 3-4 weeks later. Took 2 weeks for them to get back to be and schedule me a week out. They give me and appointment with a window between 1-3 PM. They called me at 11:45 and I was not able to answer. I called 5 times throughout the day. Then I received a text message that the work had been completed when they never showed up at my house. Jungle Cat has great service people, but the front desk is abhorrent. If the owner is recording customer calls for quality assurance - pull mine! I have a dead compressor on my a/c unit, under a 5 year manufacturer's warranty on parts. On the a/c manufacturer website, there is a search bar to find me a local dealer/service. First company on the manufacturer's website for my zip code: Jungle Cat Heating and Cooling. The service technician (and owner) was quick to come assess, and quoted a costly repair (due to hours of labor) or suggested a new unit altogether. We decided on the repair, as the compressor is still under warranty. Playing phone-tag with Anna at the front desk, we were informed that they do not deal with this manufacturer's warranty work, despite being listed on the Jungle Cat website, and recommended on the manufacturer's site. I called back to clarify that this is under a manufacturer's warranty, not a warranty from the original installation company - and was all but hung up on because apparently we didn't choose the new unit install, and dealing with warranties is unappealing. I am now on Day 6 of my house being 85+ degrees inside, and back at square one. read more

Jungle Cat HVAC is my first pick for service, repair and replacement (5 stars). Owning commercial properties and apartments in Yavapai County, I can not say enough about their staff and owners. As a past owner of a commercial (low temp) company in NCAL (Western Freezers, Fremont, CA) I use to tell my guys your work is your signature, but I always cautioned them that some customers you just can't please. Just like some of the one-star mean-spirited comments we all see on Yelp. That said, I always weigh the facts when reading reviews and you will notice that most one-star reviews are just unhappy folks, and nothing will make them happy (just look at their previous reviews). Now, why do I recommend Jungle Cat? First, I have never been employed or a relative; just a person that has somewhere around three years business with them. With 23 tenants and eleven replaced (new) units, blown fuses, air handler issues, commercial restaurant hvac issues... Jungle Cat is always my first call and they do a super job getting things done. Called the office to see what was going on and was told the tech was running behind which I can certainly understand however I would expect a courtesy call to notify me. Well, from these reviews it seems that if you're calling because of a home warranty issue, especially from American Home Shield, go elsewhere. My technician, Jeff I think, showed up on time and we looked at the a/c equipment together. I explained that it would not come back on most of the time after a power failure. He verified that and said that the outside a/c unit was operating, but the blower inside didn't come back on. I left him to it for 5 minutes and went upstairs. I was sitting on my couch when he came up and said "Well, you're good to go". I looked at the thermostat and saw the temperature had risen. "It doesn't look like it's working to me," I said. All of a sudden the technician went from Dr. Jekyll to Mr. Hyde. "You need to watch your tone," he said testily. "I can't do anything else for you." And with that, he slams the door and leaves. The blower then worked continously, instead of intermittently as it's supposed to. I called Jungle Cat twice and left messages before and after closing time. Neither was returned. I have never had such a "Psycho" experience with a repair technician. They seemed normal at first. But it seems they just do not want to do anything for you if you're under a home warranty. At least he was in such a hurry to get out and slam the door in my face that he didn't charge me for the service call. I won't be paying it if they do. read more

Do not trust this company, First technician Jeff on 03/31/21 stated that the issue to the duct work is do the heater coil damage due to hail. ( he not only told that to me but to my mom who was at the appointment) I tried 4 times to get the report with photos through my warranty company. My warranty co kept saying they did not have the report. I called Anna and she stated the report was sent 03/31/21. as of 04/14/21 . Warranty company does not have the report. Anna also changed the rhetoric and told the warranty company, there is no damage, the unit is perfectly fine. would you want this company in your house or trust them to do any work or what they say? RUDE! I saw Matt (owner of Jungle Cat) in the park and asked if he would please see why my new air conditioner does not work at all. He did it but yelled at me the whole time! Said they have service 24/7, I need to call JC instead of having him do it on his only day off. Once, he apologized because he has a migraine headache because he was in hospital all nite w grandchildren. Then he went on a rage again when I told him I was worried how the unit was not working more than working. In the winter, the heat would go on but heat would only come out at first run then cool air would come out the rest of the nite. I called the office and he came out three times from Oct to Feb. He was very nice then. He said he put in heat strips but I didn't see it happen and I do not know what they are. Since I'm not there all the time, I still do not know if it works. It's too hot now to see if it works. Matt told me I could call someone else, yelled at me about that, too. I told him i could not because I did call the manufacture to find out how the Goodman unit works. They would not give me answers because the unit is warranted in some man's name, not my name! I sent them my receipt and a photo of detail tag on unit but they did not send me info stating it is now in my name. I also called JC and told the woman in the office, she said they would have it put in my name. I have not seen anything. Ugh. The manufacturer said I can't hire any other company to honor the ten yr warranty unless it's in my name. Matt was so angry the whole time he replaced the fuse. Told me he has a million $ company and if I don't like the deal I got, he would give me back my money and I can go somewhere else. Absolutely the WORST service. There are a lot of bad reviews for these guys, and I agree. I recommend you never ever ever ever hire these dipsticks. First off, this is a WATER leak. So probably the pan. Which I keep telling them, but they don't believe me. I even had a friend who works in HVAC come and look and he agreed it has to be the pan. Could be because the Home Warranty company (First American) can't afford to pay anyone qualified... But these people couldn't even bother to call us to make the first appointment. I had to call them twice to schedule. Then the guy was an hour late (after I waited 4 hours for him). He did NOT fix my water leak. I called again and the scheduled him for a late afternoon. I took off another half day from work and he never showed up. When I called the office back they said they never put it in the schedule and forgot about it. Refused to send him out because it's 50 miles away. Schedule again for a few days later. Called First American to find out why they sent a tech from 50 miles away. Was informed that it was a computer thing... Tech came out a second time, still didn't fix it. Later the receptionist called to inform me that they needed a second opinion and that they basically GAVE UP and are leaving me with a water leak. This is over 2 liters of water a day coming out of this stupid thing, and these guys don't care at all. If I didn't have to go through the Home Warranty people, I'd have hired one of the dozen or so companies down the street. I've taken about 20 hours off of work to deal with this, and they give up. After I called American Home Shield, I was told that Jungle Cat had cancelled because I had been rude to them previously. If rude is expecting them to finish a job, then I guess I was. We were called (Thursday 8/16) at about 1PM by the a/c tech who wanted to know if we were available earlier than the scheduled time. 2PM-6PM was the scheduled time. We had scheduled the time when we would be at the house, and advised the tech that we would be at the house during the scheduled time, but would not be available sooner. We were advised by the tech would then call us later during the scheduled time. He did not call and then did not show up. We had to call there office to find out what was going on. The service call was then reset for Friday (8/17) 12-4 pm. At 2 PM I called to confirm appointment only to be told that they probably wouldn't be able to get here today. They never even bothered to call me to let me know not to wait for him. We were left with a non functioning a/c system on a Friday afternoon with no ability to call for someone else to come out. BEWARE OF JUNGLE CAT was here 3 Month ago and corrected my Heater not heating by replacing a Circuit Board, and some other parts. Now it's Summer and my AC like the heater issue was not blowing cold air. I called Jungle Cat and explained the issue. They made an appointment and said they would come out in 3 days. It has been very hot and they called for extreme heat. Nonetheless we had our appointment but Jungle Cat called and said they no longer would service our area. I said they needed to check there prior work but said they would not come. Another company came and found the AC problem was related to poor install work and errors. I was charged $190.00. I sent Jungle Cat a Message to give them the opportunity to bear some of the cost for this being related to their original work. NO RESPONSE! JUNGLE CAT DOES NOT STAND BY THERE WORK!
