Love this place! Most reasonably priced laser center in the area. Medispas and other laser business are double or triple the price. I came to Junin 8 years ago when they were located in Bowie. Hair was reduced by 90-95%. 8 years later and some of the hair has returned. It is not permanent and I knew that. Hormones and other things change and it can grow back. Back then the laser was so painful. She now has a newer, better laser that I barely felt in some areas. read more

I specifically chose this place because of their experience with women of color, which gets different results when it comes to laser. The price is seemed very reasonable and it still costs less than a year of waxing. My first appointment, I had Junin herself and she did a great job. The hair fell out and I was hair free for 2 months, it was crazy. The second time, I had a different tech and I felt like she missed a lot of areas on the... inner areas. The treatment is so fast, and the laser hurts a little but isn't worse than waxing. My skin has not experienced any issues or pigmentation so I'm confident I'd like to try it on my face later. read more

My husband and I have been loyal customers to Junin from her initial office to her relocation to Crofton. However the lack of care, bedside manner and declination of PAID service is why I am writing this review. My husband purchased a Groupon for her laser hair services years ago and was so satisfied with his care that he later purchased me one as a gift. I also initially had a pleasant experience. This Christmas I purchased (for the first time) a Groupon for her business as a gift for my husband to use. Upon his arrival she told him that "he should have mentioned it was a Groupon on the phone when he made the appointment, it's only 1 Groupon per client, by getting more Groupons per client you're bringing us down, if you want the service you can pay the difference, otherwise get a refund by Groupon." I called Groupon for a refund and they also checked the terms and agreement and said there is no where that states such information and refunded me ASAP. I find it ridiculous that for the greed of "paying the difference" you decline a service that someone has paid for as returning and loyal customers. If you don't want Groupon customers "bringing you down" the. Get off Groupon.... I called later that day to speak with Junin and left a message with her front staff and it's been 2 weeks and I have still not received a return call. Needless to say, as a healthcare provider myself, I DO NOT and WILL not ever RECOMMEND this business. We have taken our business elsewhere. read more

Junin Laser continues to win!!!! I've been receiving laser services here for about a year. The service and package prices are unmatched. When the dermatologist is asking for $350 a session, Junin can put together a package of 6 sessions, for a lot less. 1 of advice: their prices are increasing. So if you're considering services, start now. For the business: -please post before and after pics, pricing specials, etc to a website, social media platform, etc -consider providing pricing for single session areas -clearly specify the areas that are considered-extra small, small, medium, large, extra large I'll continue to return! read more

I discovered Junin while looking for a laser hair removal deal on Groupon in 2017. I was nervous to try it because I have read some stories about women of color with darker skin not having great success at other laser hair centers. Booking with Junin was really simple, but there was a bit of a wait the first few times I went even when I was on time for my appointments. I noticed a difference in my hair growth after the 2nd round. I have dark, thick, dense, coarse hair that grows quickly. Seeing less hair in my area of treatment combined with the fact it was growing slower was amazing to me! I ended up adding another body part to my services because I was that impressed. I have referred my friends who have referred their friends and they all swear by this place. Yes, the laser does hurt, but that is the price of beauty! Word of advice - shave as close to your skin as possible the day of your appointment. Stubble will get zapped by the laser and it hurts more when that happens! I also tried i-Lipo and I did lose a couple inches around my waist. I also coupled it with exercise and dieting AND I didn't follow the instructions completely, so I can't give a definitive review about my success with that procedure. But I highly recommend the laser hair removal, especially if you have darker skin and coarse hair. read more

Bought a groupon for laser hair removal. Showed up on time for my first consultation and ended up waiting 45+ minutes to be seen. There also seemed to be other people waiting there for extended periods of time. The technician was nice when I finally was seen, so decided to give them another try and also book a microdermabrasion appointment. I showed up less than 10 minutes late to my microdermabrasion appointment and was told i would have to reschedule. This establishment doesn't respect your time but refuses to accommodate you. Most places usually give you 10 min leeway before making reschedule. Very disappointed as I have a laser package I will need to complete with them, and don't look forward to their extended wait times read more

Hands down, this place is the real deal. The staff are very courteous and friendly and they know about efficiency. You can easily find a deal with this Spa through Groupon and trust me, you won't be disappointed. I purchased the I Lipo treatment of 8 and so far into my 5th treatment, I've lost a total of 8 inches around my abdomen. I'm definitely fitting into my jeans easier and my stomach looks smoother and flatter than it did prior to my treatments. Be careful of what they deem as a small area for the Groupon deal. Apparently only the points of the chin is covered. Didn't like the aggressive upsell for $80 more to cover the area under the chin. Heading back to the other spa that offers groupons for laser hair removal. I've done the Groupon deal with that other company for the chin AREA and again for side burns with no issue snd no uncomfortable debate. The Junin Groupon is a ploy to bring you in and charge more. The rep applauded my decision to try to get a refund on the Groupon instead of trying to understand why what she was doing was not fair. read more

I found this spa on Groupon. Before purchasing I read the reviews. I made my purchase based on the positive reviews. When I called, the woman who answered the phone wasn't the most polite, however I made the appointment. I got here today a few minutes before my 1:00 appointment and the woman questioned me like I'd made up my appointment. She then proceeded to take 3 other people who arrived after me. One of the ladies mentioned that her appointment was at 1:30? I would not recommend this place to anyone. There are only 5 chairs in the waiting area so people were standing along the wall. Apparently there is only one person who services the clients and she lacks professionalism and social skills. This experience was a waste of my money, time and gas. read more
