Cool bar with random photos of people on the wall. I came on a Saturday night with Jay O. And felt horrible for the bartender. Ariel was very sweet but also very busy! I felt terrible for her. It was super crowded and she was the only bartender there! Huge bar and with just one bartender on a Saturday night yikes! We had one drink and off we went to the next place.

After walking around the area we needed a place to relax for a few & grab drinks. We came in & sat at the bar, decide to go with a IPA good beer but being an IPA it has quite the after taste once u get over that it's not bad at all. Since we just wanted drinks didn't get to try any of the food, maybe next time. Small place not too big, a lot of pics on the wall just don't know exactly who all the people are! Dimly lit even thought the windows are open, nice comfy couch seating right here. Good service, music playing & decent prices, the bar served it's purpose good for drinks.

I literally downloaded yelp to write this review... And what a shame it is, I understand yelp only verifies reviews from consistent people. Regardless I figured I could share my experience with everyone. I originally went into Juniors Spycoast to charge my phone, I sat down ordered a beer and proceeded to do so, upon coming back from the bathroom my quarter drank- still chilled beer was thrown out from the bar. When the staff was confronted they were too busy entertaining friends behind the bar, refused to reimburse me with another as they thought I'd left. Rude employs, bad business ethic, worse bar. Won't be coming back.

Junior's Spycoast opened over the past summer in the location that used to be Old Port Pub. While Old Port Pub used to be a lazy local's watering hole, Spycoast is much livelier establishment resembling a cross between a sports bar and a safe house? I'm still not sure how the spy theme fits with the large flatscreens showing different games (football the last time I was there), but I guess it works. Hipsterish bartenders serve beer in mason jars and drinks from their Signature Menu such as Sazeracs, Hot Toddies, and Sidecars, while an indie rock heavy playlist carries on in the background. I've never had any items off their food menu, but pub grub coming from the kitchen always looks great and comes in big portions! Worth checking out as a first stop on your Port Jeff bar crawl! (Because you know it's only a matter of time before you hit Billy's for that $2 shot wheel...)

Had a wonderful time on Tuesday night. The food was delicious and so were the drinks!! Rich was behind the bar and he was so lovely. Definitely will be coming back on a Tuesday to see him again.

    Great cocktails

New ownership with a remodel of the restaurant and new menu! The cocktails were $10 each but well worth it.

    Crabcakes and tuna appetizer.

This place is pretty nice but small. Have popped in to have a drink or two. Also had some food there one time. Tasted pretty good it was the crabcakes and the tuna appetizer

Terrible design, the bar is too narrow and impossible to move around in. The drinks are too expensive and the staff isn't friendly.

We had a table near the bar and the ambiance is very pretty, but can be a little dark. Noise level was perfect, could easily talk to everyone without feeling like I was hard of hearing. Service was kind and helpful, but it certainly felt slow. I would have ordered more drinks if they just had come around and checked in on us a touch more frequently! Although it did seem like they might have been down some staff that night, so I don't fully ding them for that. The most convenient parking is the paid lot right in front, but there is some street parking further away if you're willing to walk a little. The real reason you're here though is the food and drinks! Starting with cocktails, I tried their mezcal version of an espresso martini, 43 Espressions, it's a little bolder than your typical espresso martini, but that's what I also like about it more. Also tried the Lavender Fields, which is a delightfully fresh summer/spring cocktail that is very easily sippable. For a quick appetizer I tried the French onion soup, as classic as it ever has been. When you have found perfection, there is no need to try and reinvent it, and luckily they don't! On to the mains. I had Dave's Roasted Chicken. Perfectly cooked and the sides of paella rice and asparagus make an excellent pairing, serving size is the right amount to fill you up. Also tried their tagliatelle with red pepper romesco and skirt steak, which was fresh and not an overwhelming pasta portion like I'm typically used to from any Italian place. Even in spite of the less than stellar service time, I'd love to comeback here and try out more of the menu, especially some of their steak options and get a chance to try out the dessert menu too!

The food and service were great, and I want to acknowledge our server Christine, who was a real joy to interact with. We stopped in for a Friday lunch. I ordered a salad and one of the soup specials. My Burrata Salad was $14 for a big portion of mixed greens, cherry tomatoes, and basil topped with a big hunk of burrata cheese, roasted peppers and a balsamic glaze. The salad was excellent, especially the creamy decadent Burrata. Half of it came home with us. My soup was a cup of Mediterranean Lentil for $6. It came in a bowl-sized portion with a big hunk of fresh Italian bread. Both were great, and I loved how the soup was served piping hot and not tepidly lukewarm like so many places serve their soups. My wife ordered an Eggplant Parmigiana Flatbread, and this is where Christine displayed her customer service skills. She told us the restaurant had run out of Eggplant the night before and ran back to the kitchen to see if there was a new supply ready for today. She came back and said it hadn't been fully prepped yet, so it wasn't available, but would we like to try Cauliflower Parmigiana instead? That sounded intriguing to us, and we agreed. The flatbread that came out ($16) was delicious. Big nuggets of sauteed Cauliflower with cheese and marinara sauce on a flatbread. It tasted so good, we vowed to try making our own Cauliflower Parm at home. Lunch ran around $40 after tax and tip, and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience at the Port Bistro & Pub.
