Nostalgia much? I grew up with Blondie's Pizza. I have loved…read morethis place since I was a teenager & I love it even more now. For more than one reason. For one it brings back so many good memories, Blondie's always makes me happy. The second reason is they now have 100% BEEF PEPERONI! You heard me, 100% BEEF PEPPERONI! For some people that's not a big deal. For someone who hasn't eaten pork their whole life & always has to avoid getting pepperoni on their pizza, its a HUGE freaking deal. I love, love, love when the rare occasion happens that I get to enjoy BEEF PEPPERONI on my pizza. OK besides that, the pizza is amazing. I was literally closing my eyes and in my happy place the whole time. Now for those that never had BEEF PEPPERONI, please go try it. It is so much higher quality than pork pepperoni, so I've been told. I plan to make many more trips in the near future, thats how excited it made me. By the way I loved the cheese just as much, yum yummy. Pro tip: parking is hard, obviously, downtown Berkeley and all. So either walk, Uber, find parking, take the bus, or do as I do and tag team it and drop off a friend to go order for the whole car and drive around until they are ready to be picked up. Do what you have to, just get there. Now go enjoy yourself, you can thank me later.

They're consistent, quick, and the Desi Bread, Aloo Gobhi, Tandoori Chicken, and Chili Paneer pizzas are delicious. It's a perfect choice when ordering for groups, since they have so many varied flavors and vegetarian options. It's great that CPH has spread its wings (proverbial; I haven't tried their wings) across the bay and elsewhere. 15 years ago, we had to travel to Pizza and Curry in Fremont, which was fantastic but not particularly close. Also, the last time we ordered, they had the option of making the pizza into a heart! It probably resulted in a smaller pizza, but it was absolutely worth it.

Hi everyone, My…read morename is Sara. (I'm not a local). Not being so I decided to check this place out for a fun exotic treat. So me and my son door dashed food from here and once "delivered" it was... not there. So basically someone stole it. Yikes. Me and girlfriend head over there to figure out why we didn't get the food. Mind you I guess this was during final season so people steal? Wtf?!? But when we go to this place they ACCUSE ME of stealing the food even after I showed them the order and everything and what not so we had to wait for the next door dasher to literally hand me the food. Two grown men yelling at two young ladies. Totally rude and unprofessional. I wouldn't recommend this place to a lot of people. Ambiance wasn't, food was extremely disappointing, and expensive. Do I look like I grow money from my hair, medusa style!?$ Anyways, don't come here for date night, in all aspects this place disappointed me. Thank you.

I've been wanting to try this place out for forever and it finally happened! Safe to say this is…read morethe best pizza I've ever had in Berkeley. We were a party of three and definitely over ordered- the Sicilian style Ray J, Truly thin and crispy, and arancini, but zero regrets. The Truly thin and crispy really reminded me of the Ciccino at Truly Pizza in Dana Point, which is my favorite pizza spot in the world! As the name suggests, it's very thin and crispy and I loved the texture. Great as an appetizer pizza lol. Thick square focaccia style pizza is definitely my preference, which is why the Ray J Sicilian was my favorite here. The toppings are generous, love the large chunks of cheese and the hot honey on this one. The arancini we got was also amazing, it had a slight lemony tang to it and some veggies inside which balanced out all the fried cheesiness in it. Would super recommend Pizzeria da Laura, and come in a large party if you can! I think my only downside is the bathroom situation as you have to take a key to take the elevator downstairs and it was hard to get a hold of the key, but maybe try to come at a less busy time. That reminds me, for sure make a reservation for weekends! Super easy to do on their website. Service by everyone was very kind and they were helpful explaining the difference between all their pizzas.

I've been looking forward to visiting Pizzeria da Laura ever since I heard about Chef Laura Meyer's…read moresuccess in world pizza competitions. It definitely lived up to the hype. The location is excellent. It's within walking distance of UC Berkeley, just a minute from Downtown Berkeley BART, and there's a public parking garage a block away. Another nice touch is the market next door. They sell pizza by the slice, snacks, and drinks. I would've been there 100% during my college days. The customer service was outstanding. Everyone was genuinely friendly, welcoming, and happy to answer questions. The atmosphere was warm, clean, and inviting. You can watch the pizzas being made, and there's also a TV if you want to catch a game while you eat. It had a relaxed neighborhood feel that made us want to stay a little longer. Having delivered for Round Table back in the '90s, I have an appreciation for the flow of a pizza operation. Everything felt organized and efficient. We started with the Chicories & Beets salad. It was fresh, crisp, and a perfect way to start the meal. We ordered the 18" NY Ray J and Detroit The Standard. Detroit The Standard was my favorite. The crispy, caramelized cheese edges were incredible, while the inside stayed light and airy. The mushrooms were perfectly cooked, not soggy at all. Every topping tasted fresh, and the balance of pepperoni, sausage, onions, olives, and sauce was spot on. The NY Ray J was just as impressive. The crust had the perfect balance of crispiness and chew, making it easy to fold. The combination of thin and thick pepperoni, creamy burrata, fresh basil, fermented honey, and Parmigiano Reggiano was outstanding. Every slice came with a great cheese pull. Both pizzas had crispy crusts, fresh toppings, quality ingredients, and just the right amount of sauce. We left feeling satisfied, not heavy or bloated. We visited on a Wednesday, and by dinner time the restaurant was full. That's always a good sign. One of the highlights of the visit was chatting with Chef Laura about dough, ingredients, and technique. It gave me an even greater appreciation for the attention to detail that goes into every pizza, and I picked up a few ideas that will definitely improve my homemade pizza game. I'm actually eating the leftovers as I write this review. They reheat beautifully. The crust stays crispy, the toppings still taste fresh, and they're just as satisfying the next day. We'll definitely be back to try more of the menu. Whether you're a Berkeley local or just passing through, Pizzeria da Laura is absolutely worth the trip.

I'm happy to admit when I get it wrong…read more After another visit, I found a whole new appreciation for Rose Pizza. This experience couldn't have been more different from my first. The pizza was every bit as delicious as I remembered, but this time the service was warm, welcoming, and made the meal that much more enjoyable. Looking back, it's possible my first visit was simply an off night. Everyone has them, and I'm glad I gave Rose another chance instead of letting one experience define the restaurant. Because of that return visit, I'm updating my rating from 3 stars to 5 stars. Great pizza deserves recognition, and when it's paired with genuinely friendly service, it's easy to recommend. I'll definitely return BB

Stopped by Rose Pizzeria for lunch in Berkeley. They have very limited indoor seating (1-2 tables)…read moreand a nice outdoor patio with more seating. Their kitchen is pretty tiny, with maybe 1-2 chefs. I went on a Friday afternoon and there was no wait. I don't think they'd really be able to accommodate a larger party (5+ people). Their menu is kind of limited, and I wasn't really excited about their pizza offerings. They don't allow substitutions or mixing flavors (half and half), and their flavors either had meat and cheese or veggies and cheese (didn't see any that mixed meat and veggies unfortunately). They did have a few unique flavors like one that combined feta with I think it was like apricot or some fruit? We ordered 2 Pepperoni & Basil pizzas for 3 people ($24/pizza). Our waiter was nice and the pizzas came out fairly quickly. The pizza was good, but didn't stand out to me. I did like the texture of the crust (very crunchy). I probably won't be back because I prefer combo-type pizza, but it's a nice lunch or dinner spot.

We didn't mind waiting -- new systems take time to learn. What bothered me more was the execution. We ordered identical meals -- same pasta, same salad, and a margherita pizza to share. When the food came out, my friend's pasta had mushrooms while mine didn't. After trying his, mine tasted completely bland. Then the pizza arrived and it wasn't margherita -- just plain cheese pizza that didn't taste very good. It was a slow time of day with only a few tables, so it wasn't a chaotic rush. I didn't want to hold up our plans by sending things back, but the mistakes stayed with me. The pasta had potential, and I'd still give them another chance, but they really need to focus on listening to the customer and getting the orders right.
