San Francisco has great places to eat pizza. There is a pizza parlor for each neighborhood. Having…read moretried the majority of the pizza spots in San Francisco I decided to go to Berkeley. The city of Berkeley has brought good pizza recently to San Francisco like Rose Pizzeria. Going to Berkeley I have experienced great pizza places which are not located in SF. Berkeley has some great pizza places such as the Cheeseboard , Pizzeria da Laura and for the best Chicago style pizza at Zachary's Pizza ( actual fresher ingredients than most of Chicago )which both have no locations in SF. There a different pizza spot in Berkeley which serves fresh pizza with local ingredients and there is no spot in SF and it's called Sliver pizza. On a Summer day stroll in the sun in Berkeley I landed at the Telegraph Avenue. Inside there are plenty of seating and they do not accept cash. I ordered their POD also known as Pizza Of the Day. It had the Mushroom, red onions, green scallions , and it had a lemon zest which was sour like some in SF. It was a little cheesy and the sourdough crust was soft. It was tasty and you can taste the field to table ingredients in the pizza. They also have interesting pizza like the Cherry Corn Pizza like I saw on my social media feed. When in Berkeley you must try Sliver Pizzeria. Go to Berkeley for this is a "must" because they have a sourdough "crust" is a "plus" it's not too cheesy and very delicious and leaves some pizza places in SF in the "dust" This pizza place is to eat inside , pick up, and they do "deliver" I rate it more on gold standard side than "silver" fresh ingredients from the "Salinas River" at a pizza place in Berkeley on Telegraph called "Sliver"

Amazing pizza, great location, lots of interior space, slight sus bathroom…read more.. Food: Sliver is probably one of my favorite pizza shops in the bay, maybe in general. I went last week and they had a summer corn pizza that was loaded with juicy kernels of corn, fresh tomatoes and peppers, plus a ton of parsley for garnish. I am a corn fan so I knew I'd like this flavor. And I wasn't disappointed. Sauce: Sliver could even be more well known for its sauces. You have to try the green sauce! Perfect blend of savoriness, freshness, and a kick of heat! Location: right off the Berkeley BART station, This shop is super easy to transit to whether you're taking bus or the bart. Lots parking nearby too. Bathroom: maybe I just went too early in the day before the employees had time to clean up the bathroom, but it had no toilet paper, no seat covers, no paper towels, and the hand soap was simply in a cup that you had to dip your fingers into... kinda sus? Overall I'll definitely be going back because sliver become so popular because of their incredible pizzas and not their bathrooms!

They're consistent, quick, and the Desi Bread, Aloo Gobhi, Tandoori Chicken, and Chili Paneer pizzas are delicious. It's a perfect choice when ordering for groups, since they have so many varied flavors and vegetarian options. It's great that CPH has spread its wings (proverbial; I haven't tried their wings) across the bay and elsewhere. 15 years ago, we had to travel to Pizza and Curry in Fremont, which was fantastic but not particularly close. Also, the last time we ordered, they had the option of making the pizza into a heart! It probably resulted in a smaller pizza, but it was absolutely worth it.

So me and my son door dashed food from here and once "delivered" it was... not there. So basically someone stole it. Yikes. Me and girlfriend head over there to figure out why we didn't get the food. Mind you I guess this was during final season so people steal? Wtf?!? But when we go to this place they ACCUSE ME of stealing the food even after I showed them the order and everything and what not so we had to wait for the next door dasher to literally hand me the food. Two grown men yelling at two young ladies. Totally rude and unprofessional. I wouldn't recommend this place to a lot of people. Ambiance wasn't, food was extremely disappointing, and expensive. Do I look like I grow money from my hair, medusa style!?$ Anyways, don't come here for date night, in all aspects this place disappointed me. Thank you.

Where I found room for improvement was the other. The salads were expensive and not quite worthy. The Caesar was pretty disappointing, and I love me a Caesar salad. It didn't have enough dressing, resulting in a dry and flavorless salad. The gelato was delicious, but also an extremely small scoop for $7. The place is cute. It has some outdoor seating but the star is the downstairs area. We were a bigger party, and were able to snag a last minute reservation for 8 people in the much more casual upstairs space. The downstairs is smaller, but very mid-century modern classy with a great wooden bar, perfect for date night. Back to the pizza: It's really good. The pepperoni is delicious. We also went with a speciality pie with cured meats, arugula and hot honey and it was truly a great pizza. They offer a variety of crusts - NY style, Detroit, Sicilian and Grandma. I only tried NY style and it was so good but the others look decadently good. Prices are similar to other pizza spots, so you're paying $28-35ish for a large. They do have small available, as well. Overall, a really great downtown Berkeley spot. Great pizza, great for families, and while space is somewhat limited, it's still great for groups.

Although there are times it can lack a little flavor, so I just add a dash of salt and it's delicious. My husband got the chicken Godfather's Favorite, and he really enjoys this dish. It's creamy, hearty and flavorful. The parking here, however is atrocious! There is rarely any parking. People usually double park here. But be careful because some cops will be in the area and will try to cite you if you don't move your car. The wait time is long on busy days. It doesn't help that it's near campus so it can become very busy in the area too. I do recommend giving this place a try. Definitely a comfort-food kind of place, and the price is decent and the portions are pretty generous.

I found that the shrimp were on the smaller side and the sauce could have used a little something. However, I did find it much better than any bottled alfredo that I have tried. I'm also very glad that the pasta portion came with a slice of garlic bread with fresh garlic on it. I would say that it was a good portion for two meals. It was affordable and good for the price. I would definitely recommend this if you're looking for affordable pasta option.

For the appetizers, we got the caprese salad ($19), cheesy garlic bread ($14), chicken wings ($18), and BBQ pork riblets ($18). The caprese salad was one of my favorites. The spring mix was super fresh, and even though I'm not the biggest cheese fan, I really liked the fresh mozzarella. The vinaigrette had the perfect balance of sweet and tangy flavors, making this a great spring or summer salad. The BBQ pork riblets and chicken wings were both a little dry. I liked the seasoning on the riblets, while the chicken wings were a bit lighter in flavor. The cheesy garlic bread was, as expected, super cheesy! I didn't realize the roasted garlic was served on the side, and personally wasn't the biggest fan of its flavor, but the focaccia itself had a great texture. We also shared the Aries ($22), Mercury ($21), and Cassiopeia ($25) pizzas. The Aries was a classic pepperoni pizza with a nice thin crust, and the Mercury was a margherita pizza. I liked the fresh tomatoes, although I wish there had been more basil. The Cassiopeia was my favorite of the three, and I can definitely see why it's so popular. The BBQ sauce was super flavorful and paired really well with the chicken and onions. Jupiter has a lively atmosphere and a really nice outdoor patio with live music, making it a fun spot for group dinners. I'd recommend making a reservation if you're coming with a larger group.
