I was just tossed around like a wet rag... but with dinosaurs trying to eat me. Bought a beautiful amber bracelet afterwards to make me feel better.

Jurassic World VelociCoaster is hands down one of the best roller coasters! The theming is incredible, the launches are intense, and the ride is smooth from start to finish. Every second is packed with thrills, and the top hat over the lagoon is unforgettable. If you're visiting Islands of Adventure, this is an absolute must-do. I do not recommend this ride if you are not a fan of thrill rides.

as a person whose never rode roller coasters up until this trip, let me tell you... this is my favorite roller coaster ever!!! i was super scared at first with all the inversions, speed, and going upside down. however, that made it so fun!! i can understand that some might not like this if you don't like the scary, thrilling roller coasters. but, as someone with experience with the "novice" roller coaster rider feeling, don't say you hate it till you try it!!! once you go on it, you'll want to go on it again. also, the queue was amazing

I'm not unhappy, I just can't move my face due to the G's.

You never know how fat or funny looking you are until you look at your on-ride photo. I'll leave it at that.

Wow wow, i must say i absolutely LOVED the Velocicoaster!!!! It's a beautiful scene. The coaster was fast, smooth and exciting. The lady joined me on this! Love you for fighting your fears! The drops, inversions, helix twists all made for such a fun. Scream worthy adrenaline shot!!! Original wait time was 55 minutes. Who got thru it in about 25-30min no line hopper. It was the coaster that just put a smile on my face from the rapid launch to the ending halt. I would ride this 5-10x if we had the time this day! WELL worth it and MUST give it a go. This coaster and star dust racer were my TOP two rides on this trip! Cant wait to experience this again! Now it's not an extreme coaster by any means but there's different attractions for those types! This is a great blend for coaster lovers and yet smooth as butter for those a bit more apprehensive!

    The best!

By far, my most favorite roller coaster I've ever ridden! Nothing compares to it!!! G-forces, upside down, spirals over water, gut wrenching drops....All of the things!!! #1 in my book!!

    Wish me luck

Are you too a coaster nerd? Buckle in for some coaster facts. Track Length: 1,436 meters Inversions: 4 Airtime Moments: 12 Barrel Roll Speed: 53 MPH Top Hat: 155ft with a 140ft drop at 80° angle Launch Starts: 2 Upside-Down Hang Time: 2.0 seconds What could go wrong? For me, absolutely nothing as I LOVE coasters! Though, if you aren't a coaster person, I would possibly sit this one out as it is pretty intense. The ride is especially intense in the front, and well worth the little extra wait (separate queue). We rode almost ten times in our 4 days in the Universal Parks. Easily it would have been more if my mom was a coaster person. There are amazing state of the art lockers that you can open on both sides, and be sure to empty EVERYTHING as you will go through a metal detector to make sure. This ride is intense and you will definitely lose items if you try to keep on your person. Once you ride, you'll know why they are so strict on it. Personally, I would suggest leaving any glasses as you'll be holding on them for dear life. Lastly, this is my favorite coaster in the United States. And absolute must! Beautiful theming through out and built by the state-of-the-art renowned coaster company Intamin. Be sure to strike a pose when you first launch as the photo is taken fairly quickly on this ride. Enjoy and stay safe as there are raptors on the loose!

Velocicoaster is a FIVE STAR ride! If there's one ride you MUST go on at Universal's Island of Adventure, it's this one!! If you're not a roller coaster person, it's okay me neither honestly LOL. Trust me, I was contemplating ALL day whether or not I wanted to go on this ride & finally 2 hrs before closing time, I decided to go! This ride & Stardust Racers in Epic Universe are my favorites now, of all the Universal rides. Velocicoaster is slightly faster than Stardust Racers. They both start off with a pretty fast launch & have multiple inversions! I really enjoyed this ride because of how SMOOTH it was... literally smooth like butter! I think that this ride looks much scarier & intimidating than it actually is! Universal + Disney do such a good job with bigger coasters, in my opinion. I didn't feel that stomach pull at all, that I typically experienced on big coasters w/ drops. Hehe, if we had more time before closing, I would totally go back x5. Originally the wait time was supposed to be 55 min but we ended up only waiting for 25 min!

The fastest coaster I've ever been on! This ride is so unique--there's no safety bar to pull over your head, just a secure lap bar around your waist, leaving you feeling completely open. The thrill and adrenaline rush are unmatched, and it was absolutely worth the wait! The queue itself is immersive, filled with raptor visuals and fascinating information. I loved every second and wanted to ride it over and over again! Highly recommended

    Brett J.

One of the top three coasters in Universal and maybe the best coaster overall. It is fast fast fast and has many drops, loops, and turns. It will send you on a thrill ride that will have you screaming and then begging to do it again. You need their fast pass here or run here at time of early entry if you have that.. otherwise you are going to be in for a heck of a wait. However no matter what this is a MUST ride coaster! You have not done anything here until you ride this coaster! Believe me you'll thank me... do not miss out riding this ride!

I had heard from locals that it's a great local option over the big theme parks. Fun Spot was pretty great, for what it was. Free parking, free admission if you don't plan on riding rides, also a discounted adult pass if you only are going on rides with your kid who is too young to ride alone. The whole place was small, maybe the area of a handful of city blocks. And on the Sunday afternoon when we went, the place was quiet enough that we never waited more than a few minutes to get onto a ride. As we were only there for a couple hours, the cashier recommended the 4 ride pass for my kids, and the companion pass for me. But if one were to spend more hours there, buying the day pass online for $59.95 is quite a bargain. Not all rides were open, but the "big" rides that most kids want (the roller coasters and the go carts) were open. My daughter, who is not a big roller coaster fan, had a harder time finding kiddie rides that she actually wanted to go on, and she watched the go carts and didn't even want to try those with me driving. However, the place was small enough that I felt fine leaving my 10 year old son to go on rides by himself while I went on the Ferris wheel or the merry go round with my 8 year old. There are a bunch of food options available throughout the park. They were definitely more affordable than Disney prices! Most of the places offered souvenir cups with discounted refills, but there were also water stations set up throughout with free cups. I'd definitely come back if I had a few hours to burn and the kids didn't want to go swimming. Hopefully at some point, my daughter will change her mind about roller coasters, though!

We had a beautiful day to visit and smiled throughout the day. Some of our best moments were walking through the various city streets and seeing musical performances and dancing. The locker areas for cramped, but I appreciated how many of the wait queues were indoors, keeping us cooler and away from the rain. The Harry Potter sections were amazing, just amazing. I couldn't have imagined how it would have felt being in the middle of the space. Restaurants, both sit down and quick service, were scattered throughout the park. I loved that we didn't have to worry plan in advance to get a spot at either. They have a convenient parking garage where the first three floors are paid parking, while the fourth floor and above are free. That was a nice bonus and made getting there easy. I was actually on my way to a restaurant, so exploring the park wasn't part of the plan. But once I walked inside, I couldn't help but look around. There were restaurants, food vendors, candy shops, drink stands, and so much more. The atmosphere was lively, fun, and full of energy. It looked like the perfect place for families, couples, or anyone just looking to spend a few hours enjoying themselves. This is a short review because I didn't get the chance to experience everything Icon Park has to offer. However, based on my first impression alone, I can definitely say I'll be back. All three of these together took up about two hours and then we were able to go to Cafe tu tu tango to get a bite to eat. This was a great half day experience while we were visiting Orlando. There was a parking garage and parking was super easy. By that time we left around 8:30 PM there were so many cars, but when we first got there at about 5 PM there were tons of spots. They do have parking spots you can pay for in the lower levels so it seems like if you're willing to pay there will always be parking. If you want free parking, you need to go earlier because this seems to be popular for nightlife. I always appreciate when there's so many attractions together that you can walk to. This place has quite a few restaurants, some shops and the attractions all in a contained area. It was very clean and when we came, there was a huge police presence, because apparently a couple weeks before there was hundreds of teenagers that descended to the area and fought. So the place was doing a really good job making sure that everything was safe. This is a place for both families and non-families alike.

I walked through the warp pipe entrance and into the land, and that was a genuine moment. The colors, sounds, and scale of everything around me hit immediately in a way that was hard to prepare for even though I knew what to expect. The attention to detail was remarkable, and the music threading through the entire area kept the immersion intact as I moved from one section to the next. Donkey Kong Mine Cart Madness is the ride to prioritize and the one that generates the most excitement in the land. I arrived at park open and went straight here, which was the right strategy as the wait times built quickly. Mario Kart is the other major attraction and delivers on the concept, with the Power Up Band integration adding a competitive layer that makes it more than just a passive ride experience. The Power Up Band is worth purchasing before entering the park if I want the full experience. It unlocks interactive elements and mini games scattered throughout the land that let me collect coins, hit question blocks, and track my score on the app. Without it I could still enjoy the rides and the theming, but a meaningful portion of what makes the land special is tied to having one. At around fifty dollars it is an added cost on top of an already expensive day, but for a Nintendo fan it justifies itself quickly. Weekday visits made a noticeable difference in wait times and gave me more room to engage with the interactive elements without feeling rushed. The land rewards people who slow down and explore rather than just moving through it as efficiently as possible, and there is enough packed into the space that I could spend a solid chunk of the day here without feeling like I had exhausted it.
