By far the best ride in Super Nintendo World; in fact, it's the only one worth riding. Yoshi's Adventure and Bowser's Challenge are both rather poor. By contrast, Mine-Cart Madness is a fun ride, and accessible even to children. Unlike many, I did not find the jolting action especially hard on my neck and back. The only downside is the wait time. You're lucky if you get to ride it in under 60 minutes, and it isn't good enough to justify that long of a wait. So, be aware that the return on time invested won't be very high, if you decide to get in line. read more

We waited about an hour for this ride. No delays like I've seen other people talking about. For how long the wait is for this ride I definitely think it should be longer. I feel like the rides in general in Nintendo world are lacking in comparison to the other parts of the park. I wish there was more going on in the line too. Mine Cart Madness was a lot of fun. We had express passes, so luckily we didn't have to wait too long. The queue itself is great, especially if you're a big Donkey Kong fan. There are a lot of fun little details and interactive spots that make the wait more enjoyable. I was so busy taking everything in that I didn't get as many pictures as I should have. If you're looking for a super intense, fast paced thrill ride that's going to blow your mind, this isn't that. But it is a really fun coaster with some great moments and a little bit of surprise thrown in. I loved how they designed it to feel like you're actually jumping the track, especially when you hit that outside section. Such a cool effect. We rode it in the evening and seeing everything lit up made it even better. 10 out of 10 recommend, especially if you're a fan! read more

Not only has it broken down a couple of times that my family has been in line for it and ended up waiting for a long time for it to not be fixed... As a larger, big and tall man, I didn't fit in the tiny seats... I wear a 3X Tall shirt and if you're a big man no chance. Really discouraging that rides are designed for much smaller framed people still to this day... This could have been an easy win for Epic Universe. Mine Cart Madness in Donkey Kong Country is so much fun! It's a family-friendly ride, great for all ages, & is a "boom" coaster that simulates the feeling of the mine cart jumping over gaps in the track. The wait for this ride was honestly pretty long (1 hour),compared to all the other rides we hit earlier in the day. We saved this for last hoping the wait time would drop throughout the day, since the wait was long all day. I think this ride is worth the wait! Mine cart madness! Love that it's an actual themed coaster that makes me feel like I'm right back in my bedroom playing DK country for the first time on the SNES! Well worth it, probably the best ride in Nintendo world tbh. That's just my opinion. We saved this for last, the other DK ride where you shoot shells is a cool theme VR style. But it's not the experience I expected! This ride exceeded expectations and i think everyone left with a grin on their face. Yes, there was a long wait! Was it totally worth it? Yes!!! I had so much fun on this ride! Mine Cart Madness is located at Universal Epic Universe in Orlando Florida. It's within the Super Nintendo World, but a sub section called Donkey Kong Country. I grew up playing the Donkey Kong games. My favorite was Donkey Kong Country 1 and 2 on the Super Nintendo Console. When I heard that Universal was making a Donkey Kong Section for Epic Universe, I was so excited! While I was down in Orlando Florida in October, I ended up buying a single day ticket for Epic Universe. Mine Cart Madness is a new roller coaster attraction themed to the classic video game! The ride immerses you in the world of Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong. The mission, to protect the golden banana! The ride vehicle looks like it's barreling through mine cart tracks and then jumping across gaps in the rails. It really felt like a video game level from one of the mine cart levels in the Donkey Kong game! While I was riding, you couldn't really see a track. It was hidden. It felt like in the jump sections you were really flying across in the mine cart. It's a four person style cart with two rows of two. During the ride, you'll pass through indoor scenes with vibrant theme and outside sections including a splashdown moment! This ride is quite unique! It features a lift that transitions into a launch, drops, and the jumping illusion of broken rail segments! This is one of the more popular attractions in the park. I did single rider line and it was about a 60 minute wait time. The best seating positions are front left or back left! Luckily the ride queue is mostly indoors and covered, not fully air conditioned though. I'd recommend trying to go on this ride early in the day or later in the evening. Weather does impact this ride as well! This is a must do ride if you're visiting Epic Universe for the first time. I just had to go on this ride because I'm a big fan of the Donkey Kong video games! read more

Fun coaster! To start, while waiting in line for this, Yoshi, and Mario Kart, there are a couple of spots where you can place your wristband to unlock animations or other things. That is the solution to long line waits! Just put in more interactive things so it doesn't feel like you're waiting so long. It makes the line wait seem not so bad. This coaster is worth the wait although it's more on the shorter side. I still had fun with it. If you've played Donkey Kong Country from old SNES days and remember how zany it can be, this coaster fits right in with that vibe. There is part of the ride you can see on the way to it where it looks like you could get wet. You don't get wet during this ride and I honestly think that's a drawback. The place where there's water around this ride, it wouldn't hurt to get a small spray... especially during the HOT Florida summers. There are a few other things to do with your wristband in the Donkey Kong section but that's one area of Nintendo World seriously lacking. Everything centers around that ride. I don't even remember seeing a place to shop in the area. read more

This is also a roller coaster. This attraction is actually located all the way in the back of the portal, you can actually see part of it from the parking lot. This was one of the more highly talked about attractions due to the track being below you and making you feel as though you are jumping the track. If this is on your list of must do's I would head here first or get in line right before the park closes. This line gets really long. When my wife and I went, the wait was over an hour. Luckily for us, we had a disability pass for my wife, which allowed us to get a return time and sit inside until our time was called as opposed to standing in the regular line. For us this was really nice as I would not wait an hour for this ride. This ride is fun but it is extremely SHORT! My best guess would be about 45 seconds maybe 60 seconds at most. By the time we were really having fun it was over. There was hardly enough time to know what was happening. It is also very loud inside with the Donkey Kong music playing over and over again throughout the whole line. The vehicles hold 4, 2 in each row, with a lap bar. They are constantly moving so you have to step onto a moving platform and then into your car. There did seem to be a lot of leg room actually. I was a little nervous for my wife since her legs are long and she sometimes has issues on these rides but she was totally fine, with even having a little extra space. There are test seats outside if you need to do a check before getting up to the front. There are no pouches or places to put your things, so we had to hold our bags and Universal refill cup, which was very difficult especially on a roller coaster. I thought they could at least have a pocket to put hats and sunglasses and stuff. The ride makes you feel as though you are going to fall off the track and then all of a sudden you jump to the new track. It is so unique and one of a kind how they make this happen. I personally have never seen a ride like this before. Because the ride was jerky and bumpy, my back and my wife's back really hurt after the ride. There are lots of twists and turns, sharp jerks and again very bumpy. I do think if you get motion sickness you might not feel so great after. I recommend Dramamine, which is what my wife took who suffers from motion sickness, and it really worked for her. Overall this is a fun ride, I don't know if I would try and ride every visit, but I am very glad we got to go one it at least once. I'm sure if we went again we would see more and maybe enjoy it more. We were so excited to just be going on it, I'm sure we missed a ton. The ride is loud, the lines are long and the ride is short. However, the experience of jumping the track is incredibly cool and something I have never seen before. My recommendation would be to check the wait, if it's 30-40 minutes wait time, get in line and wait , but don't wait longer than that. Great job Universal on another attraction. Aces! read more

My heart BREAKS that the lines for this ride are so immeasurable, because I am certain this would have higher reviews if it was more manageable. The song playing as you wait in line? Yes, if you are waiting for an hour or more? It might drive you into mine cart madness (). But if you had the freedom of a ten minute wait like I did? You'd realize it's an absolute bop. The ride itself is so immersive, fun, and imaginative. I rode it at night and could not stop laughing from joy. It was so fun and silly. My tips? 1. Hold your feet against the front of your cart if possible. Some people complained about being jostled around. This secured me and I didn't find it overly rough. 2. If the ride is delayed due to weather, try to check when the rain will stop. Then make sure you are near the ride. Just a few minutes after the ride was active again, I got right into the single rider line and waited ten minutes! The stand-by was maybe 25. To me, this ride encapsulates what Epic Universe is all about: immersive, forward-thinking, and joyful. Much like the park, there is still a large list of things to fix to make it more accessible to the large demand. read more

Roller Coasters are something I seek out in the world and right here is what I would call a very mid ride that's full of bananas! So the theming here is on point especially for a roller coaster but where you go wrong is with the ride experience as it's very janky as it has some really bad transitions at various points in the ride making for not the best ride experience especially for a coaster that's new! While most people would just feel this is how roller coasters are I know better as I've ridden well over 550 of them at different parks this one however I had a hard time wanting to ride it more than twice as getting thrown into the side isn't the best feeling and I can see little ones especially hating this as it bugged me someone who seeks out rough coasters! Overall super cool theming and a bad ride experience but would I ride it again probably because I'm just sick like that! read more

I had heard a lot about this one before coming and was excited to experience it- Mine-Cart Madness is the Donkey Kong themed roller coaster located at the back of Nintendo World in Epic Universe. Not only is Nintendo World so amazing, but once you head downstairs and keep walking towards the back, you'll discover Donkey Kong Country, a whole extra section of this world that feels like the desert oasis right about of Super Mario Bros. It's awesome. Here is where you find the queue for Mine-Cart Madness- this line was one of the longest all day and is super popular as it's a fun rollercoaster that's exciting yet still low intensity enough for kids to really enjoy as well. It finally got down to about 50 minutes so we hopped in line- it would have been a shorter wait then this but unfortunately, there was a delay as they had issues with something so we waited probably an extra 15 minutes due to this. Hopefully that will continue to become less common as they work out more kinks. The ride itself was super fun! Your goal as a rider is to protect the golden banana in DK's temple from intruders/ thieves. This ride is also famous for parts of the track looking like you jump off of it- and especially when you ride in the front (it's 4-person carts w 2 to a row) you really feel like you're flying off the tracks. I even knew it was coming and the first "off track" part got a small squeal out of me. This is the only time I'll admit it. My one complaint with this ride would be the timespan. It's a fun ride, but it's super short. Like, if I had waited 2 hours as some people did when the queue got really crazy, then rode for such a short time I'd be pretty disappointed. It's still a lot of fun but it definitely feels like the ride is cut off before you can get started. Nonetheless, the queue has some fun interactive elements if you have the Nintendo wristband, and it's definitely worth experiencing at least once or twice, especially if you're a DK fan. read more

I LOVED THIS RIDE! I was so excited when riding it because it felt SO MUCH like the game. I love that it's named the same as one of them. I don't remember if I ever owned it but I remember playing it with my cousins when we went to visit grandma's house. It was a wonderfully nostalgic ride and it really felt like I was inside the game. All other rides will operate with a spinkle, but this one automatically shuts down for whatever reason. Why build such a water sensitive ride? This rollercoaster is such a spectacular failure that it should win an award for how often it breaks because it is down for most of the day every day and somehow the park still acts surprised when it collapses into another hours long shutdown and the whole thing feels like a safety hazard that nobody wants to admit is a safety hazard and if the park cared even a little they would either rebuild it properly or haul this rusted mess out of here before someone gets seriously injured. read more
