As he was wondering about looking at the creatures, the desk clerk came up and told me, "there are many kids who come here with conditions like your son but can you watch the kid because he is getting in the way of the other customers." He was directive and sharp and so I complied and apologized following my twelve year old's lead who was just very curious and excited to be there. As we stood in line to pick up our items and pay, Although we were waiting in the front of the line, he quickly attended to another customer who was not staying in the line. I asked him we were here waiting for the turn first. He then acknowledged us and said that he was sorry and then took our turn. Today, I think that experience was dominating me when I found out that an item we needed for the dying reptile was missing. I want to extend my apology to the attendants who helped gather a few things which I believed that they left it out by accident. All is good with me but I wish that there was a bit more sensitivity for the children who walks in with special needs and how you address the parents because sometimes kids are exfoliating their curiosity just to be bewildered by the creatures you have. I was surprised at the clerks lack of emotional sensitivity calling kids like that but after all, that is why they are there. We are there to support the local business and most of all, our kids love that business .

You'll find goodies to purchase for your pets and for the parents, too I like the ambience and the music they play. Today we had Ray as our groomer. He was awesome. He was very attentive with our fur baby's coat. He's a Shorkie so he has the width of a Shih Tzu and the colors, length and height of Yorkshire Terrier. He looks like a little Ewok. Ray made sure he asked about any concerns we had about styling Bozley's coat. We wanted to only trim his natural Mohawk but close for the rest of his body because it's a hot summer. He did such an excellent job with Bozley's coat and our little Bozley was so happy! We can tell he feels much lighter and cooler. We know that Bozley loves visiting the Hollywood Pet Center because he knows he's going to feel like a million bucks! Ray is really nice, always had a huge smile and was really good with Bozley. This is why we will be loyal customers for years to come. Ray, you've got a new regular!

They were having an event: Making colorful paw prints into pretty pictures. Either a butterfly or flowers! I love flowers so that waa my choice! There were a dozen different color shades to choose from: from orange to yellow; blue to green, red to purple. Harvey is so nice, friendly and helpful! She explained to me the complimentary event! I got to pick the colors: purple and yellow for my flowers. We got Haru chan to put his paw in the colored paint and place it on the white poster board. Then i got a couple paint brushes to paint the stems for the flowers! Such a fantastic Event with free salmon treats and lavendar wipes! Since we're regulars, the employees recognize us and are always so friendly, helpful, and genuinely happy to see us. It really gives the shop that wonderful neighborhood feel that you just don't get at the larger chains. They also have a surprisingly great selection of pet supplies, treats, toys, and little critters. I almost never manage to leave with just the crickets -- usually an extra cat toy or treat somehow makes its way home with me too!
