I will never bring my dogs back here, and I would not recommend this groomer to anyone I care about. Both of my dogs have been professionally groomed since they were puppies without behavioral problems. After being groomed here, BOTH developed fear-related behaviors we had never seen before. Henry, who previously loved every stranger he met, began barking, backing away and acting afraid when approached. I was also told Charlie tried to bite while having her nails trimmed--something no groomer had ever reported in five years. I gave them another chance because at the time I didn't know what had caused this sudden change. I regret doing so. On our final visit, Henry was only supposed to have the fur around and under his paws trimmed for nail care. When I picked him up, no one mentioned any problem. Once home, I discovered they had shaved his hindquarters, back legs and ONE front leg. He literally had one shaved front leg and one fluffy leg. I had seen another employee approach his groomer while he was still on the table, and shortly afterward they stopped and brought him to me. No one acknowledged the incorrect haircut or told me what had happened. They also couldn't complete Charlie's nail trim. When I complained, I was offered a future free bath, but I chose not to return. At their next grooming elsewhere, that groomer independently commented on how unusually skittish Charlie was. He found that holding her close and comforting her made her feel safe enough to relax and be groomed. I explained that BOTH dogs had developed behavioral issues after their experiences at their previous groomer. Whatever happened during their visits here traumatized my dogs. I know their behavior before and after, and Henry's change has persisted. Before this, he enthusiastically greeted strangers, rolled over for belly rubs and practically peed with excitement meeting people. He now fears many strangers, barks and retreats from them. Charlie, after five years of being groomed without these issues, also came away fearful enough that another groomer noticed it. The cute photos, backgrounds and bows initially won me over. They are not worth what happened to my dogs. I trusted this business with two animals I love, and after seeing the lasting changes in their behavior, I will never trust them with my dogs again. read more

Groomer: Ray As always, when we visit, there's always wonderful staff members there to greet us. The location is so spotless and the storefront is always organized and dust-free. You'll find goodies to purchase for your pets and for the parents, too I like the ambience and the music they play. Today we had Ray as our groomer. He was awesome. He was very attentive with our fur baby's coat. He's a Shorkie so he has the width of a Shih Tzu and the colors, length and height of Yorkshire Terrier. He looks like a little Ewok. Ray made sure he asked about any concerns we had about styling Bozley's coat. We wanted to only trim his natural Mohawk but close for the rest of his body because it's a hot summer. He did such an excellent job with Bozley's coat and our little Bozley was so happy! We can tell he feels much lighter and cooler. We know that Bozley loves visiting the Hollywood Pet Center because he knows he's going to feel like a million bucks! Ray is really nice, always had a huge smile and was really good with Bozley. How it went from I thought we found a forever groomer with this establishment and just like that, this happened. I came in with Junior and said they have to cut him short because he is matted. I am so upset and lost for words. It's been two days and my baby has not been the same. He has been sleeping and keep scratching and scooting. Nell was so dismissive and the first thing she told me was I'm going to hate her because that means she did something that she knows I'm going to be upset about. When Jasmin was there, I would get updated pictures this time I didn't get any. I got one because I asked for it. I message 10 minutes into the appointment and they had already shaved him raw. My poor baby they didn't even take their time or introduce the clippers to him. They shaved even his PP area and his butt area to the skin. I am so heartbroken. Jasmine did so good with junior as you could see with my pictures, she took her time and care. Mind you they say he's matted and yes, maybe there's five spots that is left because I dematted him before I even brought him. The owner Yaeli is so nice and nurturing.Nell is such the opposite. My 11 year old maltipoo really needed a groom. I had gone months of trying to do it myself and her body was completely uneven (plus some matting even though I always tried brushing her out). Hollywood pet center was responsive and kind from the beginning. They are cage free, which means they don't hold your dog all day. This is perfect for my little old lady. Jasmine took such amazing care of my old maltipoo. She sent photos at every stage, which had me laughing the entire time. I could tell she was being gentle with her - my maltipoo has terrible anxiety. The full groom took just a little over 2 hours, but only because my dog was in such bad shape. The price was more than fair for the amount of work. At the end of it, she took the cutest photos of the end result and my little girl was bouncing off the walls happy!!! 10/10 recommend. I brought my Golden Retriever in for grooming and couldn't be happier with the experience. Anyone with a Golden knows how much coat they have, and mine can get pretty tangled if it's not handled properly. They did an amazing job with the brushing, bath, and trim while keeping his coat looking natural and fluffy. The staff was super patient and clearly experienced with larger, long-haired breeds. My dog usually gets nervous at groomers, but they made him feel comfortable and took their time with him. When I picked him up he looked fantastic and smelled great, and his coat was so soft and well-deshedded. It's hard to find a place that really knows how to handle a Golden's coat without over-cutting it, and they nailed it. I'll definitely be bringing him back regularly. read more

In the past, I've also had difficulty finding a groomer that didn't keep my pup crated for multiple hours unless I used a mobile service, but in this case, Yael was communicative and straightforward about how long the grooming would take. My spouse and I were able to have breakfast nearby and our dog was ready within the timeframe Yael provided. She even texted us an update and photo of her progress. Truly a five star experience. After a terrible experience at popular Burbank pet groomer I was hesitant to take my dog somewhere new, especially after going to the same place for ten years. But after finding out that Hollywood pet center works with shelter rescued dogs who've experienced trauma I knew it was the right place for her after her last experience. As soon we walked in we both had a very good feeling. My dog instantly went from being nervous to excited as everyone welcomed her arrival. They listened to our concerns and took note of where her sensitive areas were as to not cause any injury. I also received texts throughout her visit, letting me know when she'd be done. Ray was great - he took the time to ask a lot of questions to make sure he gave Clover the cut we were looking for. The extra photos he sent mid-groom are such a nice addition.
