Big shoutout to Dan, Memo, and Jose! They have been helpful during the past few days as I just rescued a poodle from a very bad situation this past weekend. She has some dietary restrictions, and I simply want to give her the best diet possible. & JFFDs is a top tier product. I trust it 100%. I gave it to my late dog son, and it was the only stuff he would eat (super picky eater). Only the best for our beloved dogs, right? When I walked in, memo and Jose were so helpful when choosing dog food for my new rescue. They recommended a few blends that would be appropriate her, so I picked up 2 out of the 4 they recommended. Anyhow, My dog responded well to one of the blends and refused to eat the salmon. When I came back in today, I gave Daniel the 411 on my dog and how she has been doing with her diet. Since the salmon didn't work out, he happily exchanged it for the venison and chicken. I love how they let your dog sample the food to see if they like it before having to commit to something that doesn't work for them. I've been in numerous situations where I would be stuck with dog food that would eventually be thrown in the rubbish bin due to strict return policies. & I hate wasting food. That said, I'm happy the folks at JFFDs are so accommodating with respect to exchanging food. Every dog has different needs, tastes, and preferences, and these guys really "get it". They also care about the dogs and pet parents that come into the store, and for me, that is everything. What an absolute disappointment this store and company has become in the last few years. Their prices have gone up as their customer service plummets. Went here on my lunch break the other day & they had a sign on their door that they were out and would be back soon ALSO, no longer accepting cash. Is this a random bodega or an established chain retailer? I called the 800 # on their site to communicate my issue, as well as emailing their customer contact requesting that someone call me back with absolutely zero response. They check your purchase history and if the total $ amount isn't worth saving, apparently they don't mind losing your business. What retailer closes their store two hours early on a weekday the day before a holiday? I get to the store today at five and there's a line of people waiting at the door to get their dog food to go on vacation and the store closed at four instead of six. Do you think that Just Food could send out a text or an email to people with their hours because it's not like it's a store that we go to every single day. So then we're all calling Costa Mesa trying to find out if the main store is open and they don't answer their phone so there's no way to tell so anyway that was really poor customer service for those of us who spend hundreds of dollars a month with you. Customer service here is amazing--super friendly and helpful every time. The food itself is just okay; sometimes it feels like it's not the freshest. The treats are good but extremely pricey. I paid $82 for two bags of brisket treats (and that was with a buy one, get one half-off deal) plus two small frozen meals. Without the deal, it would've been over $100 for such a small amount. My Labrador, Joe, was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease about a year ago, so we switched him to Just food for Dog's renal support diet. He loves the diet and we as owners love that it has maintained his renal values. The store's manager, Rebekah, is always so sweet and attentive! She remembers Joe and gives him lots of love when he visits (she knows to only give him pumpkin treats given his diagnosis). I have been feeding my two dogs, Paisley (11 yrs.) and June (9 yrs.) since I rescued them at 5 and 6 months of age. I started picking up food for them at your Newport Beach Store and then to the Costa Mesa store. For over 4 years now, I have been going to the Just Food For Dogs Store in Tustin, and everyone there has been so helpful. Each month, I am at this store to pick up the two different diet formulas for each of my dogs. Rebekah is always there and always so helpful. She is knowledgeable about the different diet formulas and takes the time to make sure your dog is getting the right formula. She loves animals and it shows. Today, I stopped in to pick up more dog food and she was assisting another customer with an older dog. Rebekah, came out from around the counter to assist the customer and even took a picture of her sweet older dog giving her a treat. The older dog was so happy. Nowadays, it's so easy to report the negative and today I just wanted to share how kindness goes a long way. Stopped by here last Tuesday after my vet visit, and the service here was top-notch. There was a member of the team--I unfortunately don't know her name--but she was super nice, helpful, and warm towards my pet and I. I drove all the way from L.A, to the vet cardiologist that day, and was in a rush so I completely forgot to bring my pup's food. This store was conveniently located next-door so decided to stop by. The kind store associate recommended some options for my senior pup, the lamb meal, and he absolutely loved it; and he's a super picky eater, too! She made sure to recommend the best option, as she would go back and forth to ask the team what would be best based on information I gave about my pup's condition--which I appreciated the thoughtfulness! They also have a snack bar, including samples of their treat bags. My dog ended up loving the Venison treats so purchased the whole bag, and our trip back to L.A was a success--thanks to the delicious snacks that my doggo could munch on for the 50+ miles trip back home. The store associate went above and beyond. I asked if they had a spare bowl (since I forgot to bring his food) and I just expected a disposable/paper bowl but she ended up giving me a super nice bowl, by JustFoodForDogs, for free! She just wanted my pup to have his meal right away so that was just super duper sweet of her!!! Thanks to the bowl, my buddy absolutely devoured his meal on our drive back home and even licked his bowl clean at the end :p Additionally, even after purchase, she said to feel free to give more snacks to my pup at the snack bar which was very kind of her. You can tell by their actions and sweet words that they truly love pets (even though my boy was barking at her) and not just in it for business purposes. Very admirable and refreshing to see! They strive to make the experience welcoming, comfortable, and best suitable for your pet's needs. This is the kind of business that makes me want to return, even though they are far from me! I highly recommend the food from here because they have high quality-ingredients that are so clean and simple that you can almost eat it! haha, just jokes but it is named JUSTFOODfordogs for a reason (don't take it too literally) ;) My buddy loved it more than his raw, freeze-dried food at home so that's how you know it's picky-eater approved. I have been meaning to write this review for two years now. I was recommended by my Vet to use Just Food For Dogs when my beloved senior Mini Schnauzer was diagnosed with Pancreatitis. Within two months of feeding her this food, her blood work came back normal and, to my surprise, my dog's overall wellness seemed to greatly improve. I only wish I found this food sooner. While I was able to give my ailing senior dog more quality of life with Just Food For Dogs, I regret all the time I wasted moving from one brand of kibble to another without seeing the advertised health benefits. I was first made aware of the various problems with kibble when the news was warning about certain brands tainted with pesticides. This was scary, and I often thought of making my own dog food. However, I was afraid I would do more harm than good by not providing a balanced and nutrient filled diet. With Just Food For Dogs, you don't have to do the research and you don't have to make your own dog food (but if you want to, they sell nutrient packages). They created a wonderful line of real, fresh food that even includes a prescription Hepatic remedy for dog's with liver issues. Since the Tustin store first opened, we've been steady customers, one of the benefits at Tustin was that we always got to redeem our loyalty points for an extra bag of dog food. Now just shortly after they raised their prices 30% last year they decided that would be a good time to discontinue that program. When I called corporate about it, they said I was grandfathered in and it shouldn't be a problem to continue using my loyalty points for food. When I asked management about Tustin, hey said it was because corporate didn't allow it, so I then asked what can I use to redeem the loyalty points for, they said supplements. Today I decided to go in and buy some probiotic chews for the dogs only to be informed that I can't use the royalty points for that either. JFFD, if the customer can't use the loyalty points for what they want, why are you issuing them? The way you handled the situation with me being able to redeem my loyalty points before then canceling them is equal to something to being a total dirtbag, anyone reading this knows what other words should've be used, I only go to just food for dogs now, because of my dogs are used to it. Otherwise I'd switch in a heartbeat. On another note. I'm a local general contractor in Orange County, it's common to give out free estimates from time to time, but I will be on the lookout for anybody that works for, or is related to anybody at JFFD to make sure whatever estimate I do give them , I'll be adding an additional 30% to the estimate, to make sure I have enough money to pay JFFD corporate for the price monthly price increases. read more

The blamed it to Covid19, they blamed it on lack of staff to cook their food, retraining new cooks, bla, bla, bla. I've been calling so many stores, I could order on line but you don't get points that later can be trade for supplements (probiotics in my case) I've been using the company for three years now and I am about to change it toHighly recommended by family and friend The Farmer's Dog. Tired of dealing with this. I called this morning to this store and a girl that wasn't Isabel ask me if I could wait for few minutes on hold. I did it but it turned to be more than ten minutes for her to tel me customers keep coming in and out and she wanted to return my call. It took ten minutes for her to tel me I wasted my time waiting because customer in person are more important and she needs to take care of that first. Tired of this. Switching not only because they don't meet the markets needs is their poor customer service skills. Isabel, Berto, and in the past Tracie were amazing, unfortunately there are other people there that need to be trained. Again is customer service but mainly they don't have food. The staff is knowledgeable about their products and genuinely wants to help u find the right product for your particular dog's situation. I went in today to pick up my dog's regular items but I was also interested in trying a new formula to mix things up for him. The employee who helped me let me know that because the formula I was interested in is more calorically dilute than other formulas, I would need to give more food in volume than the other formulas so my dog isnt left hungry after a meal. I have been going to Just Food For Dogs for years and I have to say that I had the best experience ever yesterday. I was greeted by Rebekah who asked how she could assist me. I told her what I needed which she quickly obtained. As I was starting to check out, I was sharing with her that my dog had pancreatitis. She then asked about my choice of food and said there was another food selection that was designed for pancreatitis. The one I was purchasing and have been for years is for dogs with diabetes and dogs that need to lose weight. She pulled up on the computer the information to show me exactly what each food was designed for. My vet happened to be right across the parking lot and I was able to go over there to get paperwork showing my dog has pancreatitis and I was able to come home with food that addresses this issue. Rebekah was very professional and you could tell that she truly loves animals and wants the best for our pets. I have never encountered an employee at this location that has made me feel like they truly love their job and go above and beyond to help us pet owners out. I came today and Jill was absolutely the most informative, friendly person that I was hoping to have help me today. She gave me brochures with a lot of info, gave me a break down on how to transition my dogs, and a little bit about the company. I got a great starter pack to get things going to giving my loved fur babies a better quality of life. I started with the fish and sweet potato and Jill also got me on probiotics for my girls. The food really is people food! My dog is 15 with kidney disease and my vet prescribed their Lowest protein food. He was on the prescription food from Science Diet but he didn't eat it too well. He's a picky dog as he ages! The staff was so nice that they gave me a full size sample before my first purchase. We've been getting his food here ever since. Few years ago I started my dog on the hepatic diet after the vet told me she is dying... lies. They kept wanting to switch her food . Her new vet suggested clean feeding I made the decision to feed her just food for dogs ( I just don't have time to be making her food) anyway my dogs health has drastically improved and no more throwing up green/yellow fluids.
