This company is exceptional! My heater kept blowing hot air. We could not get it to stop. I called and talked to Kirsten who was so friendly and calming. Next thing I know Justin is at my door within 30 min (he said he decided to take my service call since he was so close to our address). Justin came in, got right to work reviewing my situation found it was my thermostat, clearly went over my options and the condition of my heater overall....all good thankfully other than thermostat. He replaced my thermostat set it to desired temp, then we had a brief friendly chat and on his way to next appt. Justin is one of the most friendliest and knowledgeable technicians I have ever had! Justin was flexible in his appointment time and was on time for the appt. He was knowledgeable and thorough. Rather than immediately try to sell us a new water heater, he did some troubleshooting (including contacting tech support for the manufacturer of the water heater's advice) and saved us the cost of a new water heater. All i can say is wow. I have spent days trying to get someone to come out to check my furnace/heater. Just-in time was ready to come out, and super responsive. They in fact were able to come out earlier than expected, so showed up ready to fix my heater. The heater was a quick fix, so Justin didn't even charge me. I was so happy with his service and attitude that I had him inspect my plumbing in the kitchen and he sent out his co-worker Mike to finish the job. Mike came an hour later and re-plumbed the entire kitchen line, scrubbed it and got rid of the jankey system that was in there before. All this got done the same day with super professional service. I have used Just in Time on a couple of different occasions, and both times was so glad I did. The first time, the heat in my house stopped working right before I was hosting people for Christmas several years back and Justin came out on Christmas Eve to get it working again. Justin's recommendation at the time was that our heating system was on its last legs and we should replace it at some point, but he knew how to get it up and running again. He met our needs short-term at a reasonable price, and eventually met our long-term needs when it came time to replace the system altogether. If you are looking for a furnace repair or replacement, I would call Justin first. I was desperate when I called him. He came out the same day, sent me a written quote for a new furnace within the hour (he gave me a verbal estimate while he was here) and was able to come out the next day to install a new furnace. It sounded louder compared with my old one, and Justin spoke with the manufacturer to see if there was something he could do about reducing the noise, and there was...and so he did! Our furnace stopped working so we called Just in Time Home Services on March 14, 2021. Kirstin immediately answered the phone. It was a Sunday. She scheduled an on site appointment for the following day. Justin came out and inspected the furnace and found it irreparable as there were major cracks in the furnace. Justin was able to find us a new furnace that same day and he returned the following morning to remove the old furnace and install the new one. The new furnace was installed and operational by 1:30 pm on Tuesday the 16th. The job was done professionally and quickly, and the furnace works great! Justin, thanks for a job well-done! I contacted this company late on a Friday night through Yelp, within minutes I had a response from Kirsten. After gathering a little bit of information from me, within another few minutes, I had an appointment and their service fee information. My appointment was for the following Monday. My heater issue ended up resolving itself so I actually ended up not needing the appointment. What I can say is, the communication was excellent, the response time was great, Kirsten was very friendly even when I cancelled the appointment and the service fee was the most reasonable of all the companies I had researched. I also appreciate that the service fee is applied to the repair if you follow through with the repair recommendation. Richard knocked on my door the next morning. We went upstairs to my recalcitrant hot water heater. He carefully, using words I understood, explained the possible issues and his proposed fixes, then got into the guts of my machine, pointing out what he was doing and what why at every step. Great guy; patient, really knowledgeable, careful and meticulous. And all for a very reasonable cost ($185), *especially* considering it was Saturday morning. We recently had to replace our failed furnace and we called Just-In Time Home Services based on a recommendation we got from a social media site. We're really glad we did. Justin came out, reviewed our situation, and came up with replacement recommendations. He and Kirsten answered all of our questions in a pleasant and timely way, and even gave us some tips on how to improve our chances for passing the HERS inspection. We followed their suggestions and did pass the HERS inspection after the installation of the new furnace. When the inspector from the City of Sebastopol came out to perform the building dept. inspection, he was very complimentary on the quality of workmanship of the installation. We definitely recommend Just-In Time Home Services. If I had to do it over again, though, I think I would pay the extra cost for a two-stage furnace. Just-In Time offered us the choice of a two-stage furnace, but we declined. Instead, we chose a single-stage furnace, which is what we had before. Our new furnace is operating perfectly, but the two-stage version would probably save us some money on our PG&E bill in the long run. read more

I feel I was ripped off. On Jan, 2014 My heater was working on and off. So I call " Just In Time" heating repair to come and look at my unit. I like to use small local businesses to help support my community. I was told over the phone that to check my heating. It would be a Ninety Dollar service call. If they do the repairs that would be taken off the bill. OK with me sounds fair. Justin shower up at the end of the day. 4:30 and checked my heater. It took all of 10 minutes for him to find the problem. He called someplace to see if they had the part, and get an estimate of the cost. Said it was SIX Hundred Dollars plus labor. He did ask if I wanted him to fix it. It was winter and cold. What do I know about repairing this that is why I called to have a professional. He said it was to late to get the part but would come back in the morning with a replacement. The heater needed a Igniter control board. Justin returned in the morning and replaced the part. two screws and two wires another 15 minutes. Here is why I feel cheated. I did not know what an Ignition control board was Never saw one. I did get two price's on the replacement part.
